Nobody's Perfect

While browsing the Internet, I came across this ad for Porsche.

Under the words "Nobody's Perfect." is the notation "1983 Le Mans Results.

Yes, this advertisement contains the results of the 1983 Le Mans race.Of the first 10 finishers in the 1983 24 Hours of Le MansIt can be seen that Porsche dominated all but 9th place.

Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans is no mean feat. At last year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, commentators, drivers, team officials, and spectators were all convinced that Toyota would win the race. However, with only three minutes remaining in the race, the lead Toyota car had mechanical problems, and Porsche eventually won the race.

This year's Le Mans was a race to make up for lost ground. The president of the company himself came to support the team. Toyota had performed well in the qualifying rounds, but machine trouble occurred in the race, and Porsche ended up winning the race. So much so that it is not so easy to win Le Mans.

I found this site's explanation of Porsche's feat at Le Mans easy to understand.

Have you ever heard of the 24 Hours of Le Mans? This is a very grueling, traditional 24-hour endurance race. Drivers take turns driving, but the racing cars are truly on the road for 24 hours. It is a race that tests the ultimate in speed, durability, safety, and other aspects of racing cars. In a normal car race, it is quite difficult to finish first or second, or even to sweep first and second place. To finish in the top 9 out of 10 places in the 24-hour race is a near-miraculous feat.

Once again, an amazing feat.

It is a Herculean task to build a car that can withstand running at full speed for 24 hours and win. On top of that, let's look at this ad again.

Nobody's Perfect.

."Porsche was challenging for a perfect victory at Le Mans, but did not get the perfect result! The advertisement is said to say something like, "We are the best car in Le Mans, and we are the best car in Le Mans.

And an average person like me would think.

But Porsche is never satisfied with this result, and only a complete victory, without compromise, can be said to be Porsche's idea of perfection. And in the opposite sense, "Porsche is dominating the top positions at Le Mans! Isn't Porsche great after all? I think the message is also "Porsche is still great!

I was impressed once again by Porsche's stoic attitude, which never wavers from their ideals, and which gives me goosebumps.
