Delivery completed today! Porsche New Panamera Turbo Delivery in its entirety with pictures!

Porsche Panamera

The long-awaited delivery day

The new Panamera Turbo was safely delivered today. It has been 7 months and 7 days since I ordered on March 5.It seemed like it was a long time, but it seemed to go by so fast.... My husband took the afternoon off from work for the day and returned home in the afternoon. After that, the whole family headed to the Porsche dealership. When we arrived at the dealership, the woman at the reception desk showed us to the second floor...

."Huh? Why do we have to go upstairs today when we usually do our stories and procedures in one session?I followed the female staff member who showed me around to the far end of the second floor...

My Panamera Turbo is waiting for me!

Unfortunately, Mr. H had another business meeting that dragged on, so he was unable to witness our surprised reaction, which he later regretted. But we were quite moved, thank you very much (laugh).

The desk was already neatly prepared with a set of documents, keys, and other things. I see that the dealership staff wears gloves when they deliver the car. I thought to myself, "I guess that's right, it would be a little less exciting if the new car was sticky with the fingerprints of the dealer's staff before we got in..." I ordered a cafe latte as usual, and then went to the car dealer to order the car.(I don't know.)

After a while, Mr. H appeared and began checking the final documents and stamping his seal on them. There are several areas to fill out and seal.I felt it was a little long time for me to explain about the car as soon as possible. In the meantime, the children received Halloween candy and chewed it with big smiles on their faces.

I've never had a Porsche give me candy for the kids before... (laughs)

And the document review process was proceeding without a hitch."You know, you can't just put all that stuff away.I can't wait to drive the Panamera! Give me the keys! When I was fidgeting, Mr. H must have sensed this, because he opened a small box, and when I looked inside, I found two keys to a Panamera.

Oh...it's all neatly lined up in a row like some kind of matching watch. It looked a little flatter than the previous 970 Panamera Edition key. And finally, Mr. H said, "Well, I guess it's time to move on to the car...He began to put on his gloves.

Check the car

Oh...finally. First, the family takes a lap around the car to make sure there are no scratches, dirt, etc. on the body.Still, it is a shiny new car.I guess it must have a pretty good coating. I'll have to drive and touch it carefully to avoid scratching it... when I'm done checking it out.

Next is the explanation of the trunk. The Panamera has a system that automatically opens the trunk when the driver puts his/her foot under the car body, as detected by a sensor. They say it is useful when you have luggage in both hands and cannot open the trunk by hand.Mr. H immediately demonstrated, "If you put your foot down like this, it will open..."...

H's legs are quite long......then my husband tried it, but it didn't open at all. I tried it myself, but of course it didn't open.Apparently there was a "trick" to it, and when another person in charge quickly held up his foot, it opened in an instant. He was like a trunk wizard with his magnificent footwork.

The trunk is quite a bit larger than I expected.

I wonder if the trunk capacity is about the same as the previous 970 Panamera...? The previous model was able to carry two suitcases and a baby stroller with no problem, but this one seems to be able to hold quite a bit of luggage as well. And if you pull the cover and fasten it as shown below, you can separate the rear seats from the trunk.

Next, we got into the car and started the explanation of the navigation system. I was with the children, so I could not listen to the explanation very carefully, but I heard that there are many buttons on the touch panel, and it is a little complicated until you get used to it. My husband glanced at me.I don't think my wife could operate it.He said. Well, I'm very weak in mechanical systems.

After a brief explanation of the touch screen and navigation system, Mr. H next opened the hood to show us what was inside. It's really cool."So I saw what was under the hood for the first time, too, and it was very clear. I thought the engine would be more bare, but I heard it is hidden and not visible.

Incidentally, it is a 4-liter V8 engine.

The moment the delivery is complete.

Finally, finally...finally...after all the checks and explanations, the Panamera Turbo was taken to the first floor by elevator. When they started the engine, it sounded good indeed. The taillights connected, and the back of the car looks like a larger 911. When the brake lights came on, the atmosphere changed a bit again, which was cool.

So, Mr. H and my family and I quickly took the elevator down to the first floor and headed for the place where the Panamera had landed. I was thrilled...finally, the delivery of the car was going to be completed.

When I arrived at the back door, my Panamera Turbo was already waiting for me. It looked even shinier outside. My Panamera was painted Night Blue Metallic. It can look blue under a blue sky or black in the dark. The color is said to have a variety of expressions.

As you can see, it's so cool to see it out there...I couldn't help but sigh...the body color of the 970 Panamera Edition was Carrara White...After all, darker colors look tighter.Well, I guess it's largely due to the change in design. And as soon as we got inside and my husband started the engine, a classy heavy bass sounded.

Then, I followed Mr. H's lead and had the car moved. At last, the delivery of the car was completed. However, my husband and I left the Porsche dealership feeling a little nervous, as if we were still in the test-drive car.

Finally, the car was safely delivered, Mrs. H and her husband! With all my heart, thank you!So, as it is, we went to Ashiyu Driveway today, but I'm too excited to write anything but a weird article, so I'll write about that later after I get things in order. By the way, the children slept through the entire return trip to Ashiyu Driveway.

Well! This weekend, I'm going to Fuji Speedway to watch the WEC. Of course, in a Panamera Turbo. After that, I have a lot of touring plans, so I'll keep you posted on this blog.

Nice to meet you, my name is ATSUSHI. I always enjoy reading your blog.
Congrats on the delivery of your car! That new turbo looks so much cooler and more dignified! I'm reminded once again that I'll try to buy one someday too...
I noticed that the license plate number is partially visible in the 10th photo from the top of it. (Please be aware (in a good way) that this is a conspicuous car...
