Is it true that "Porscheist kids hate Porsches?"

My Family's Car Life

Is this true?

I found an article titled "Porscheist Kids Hate Porsches."

Porseki Newspaper Porscheist Education is Educating Kids to be Porscheists Part I:.
The Porsche is clearly not a comfortable car with a pleasant ride. The interior is cramped and the car bounces around according to the poor road surface. The engine is noisy, and if it is an older Porsche, the air conditioning does not work.
(omitted)
Children who are forced to accompany them are irresistible. But if they are put in the passenger seat, they are still lucky. If you are one of those Porscheists who have only one car in the family, your children will inevitably be forced to sit in the back seat when you go out as a family. This is hell.
Porsche 911DAYS

Looking at the internet, there seems to be some controversy about this article.(Or maybe it's more of an agreeable opinion)

Sure, if it were a narrow Porsche or an air-cooled Porsche...it might be possible. But this article was written in 2007. It was written 10 years ago, so the information may be a little different from the current Porsche information.

The Porsche is clearly not a comfortable car with a pleasant ride. The interior is cramped and the car bounces around according to the poor road surface. The engine noise is loud.

...So, at the beginning of 2018, I took another look at Porsche.

My own considerations as of 2018.

1) Porsche rides better now.

I had the opportunity to test drive a 911 last year, and the ride was not bad at all, in fact, I felt it was comfortable even though it was a sports car. It is true that it is not as luxurious and smooth as the Panamera, and it is quite firm, but it does not feel as if it is being jostled by the impact of the road surface at all.
Also, the Boxster GTS that my husband currently owns is not a bad ride, and I have never been intoxicated, even when making sharp turns on mountain roads.

To put it another way, the SLK350 that my husband used to drive had a seat that was sunk so deep that it felt like it was taking the full brunt of the road impact. Well, it might be different with a GT3 or something, but I think the current stock 911 is quite comfortable to drive.

(2) Is the interior of the Porsche small?

With the Cayenne and Panamera, the interior is roomy, but... this article is probably about the 911, so as far as the 911 is concerned, the interior is indeed small. When I drove a 911 or Boxster after I drove a Panamera, I too thought, "Driver's seat close!I once had an unintentional run-in with a "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

If you are used to the recent minicars or cars with spacious interiors, you will surely feel it is too small. In addition, as for the back seat of the 911...no matter what anyone says, it is too small. (Explosion) I think the maximum number of people who can sit comfortably in the back seat is about 6 years old children before they start elementary school.

(iii) Is the Porsche's engine noise loud?

It is true that air-cooled Porsches always have an engine noise, or rather an idling noise, that seems to say "gulp...", which may bother some people. However, recent Porsches are well insulated with sound insulation materials, and it does not bother me that much inside the cabin.

However, the moment the engine is started, "Bwoomph!" so I guess the sound is quite loud. But compared to Lamborghini or McLaren, I think it is quite small.

Father-son relationship issues?

And while I thought a lot about it... in the end, it wasn't so much about the Porsche."Father-child relationship issues."I think it is. In other words, it is not "the Porscheist's child hates Porsche," but "the child who hates his father hates Porsche because he drives a Porsche with his father.

If he loves and adores his father, then whatever he does, whether it is a Porsche drive or a bike ride to the grocery store, will be a fun time for the child.

Especially when he is busy with work during the week and can only spend time with his father on holidays.Let's take the Porsche for a ride!"The child is sure to be happy when his father invites him to join the family.

On the other hand, what if the child usually disliked his father?

What if he was always scolding you, overbearing, bossy, and scary, bullying your beloved mother, and never looking at you at all because he was always talking about work....

Going for a drive alone with his father in a Porsche is "torture. In the cramped interior, the father is more interested in the Porsche than in himself. I guess that's why he hates Porsches.

The mother's presence is also important.

However, this composition is not only about the father, but the mother also seems to have a significant influence. The mother is usually the one whoDad is all about Porsche! My Porsche is more important than my family!"and the child will think that the father is crazy.Don't tell your father!"If your father knew that, he'd be mad at me again!"What I'm saying is that the child may look good in front of his father, but he may also hate him on the inside.

So, it seems to me that whether a child likes or dislikes Porsche depends largely on the relationship between the father driving the Porsche and the child.

In other words, if we are a close-knit family, everything will fall into place. So, let's all be on good terms with each other in 2018!
