What an idiot I was to turn down the chance to drive the Romantic Road in a Porsche.

My Family's Car Life

In my 36 years of life.

I have lived for 36 years now and I don't have many regrets in my life. I have done what I wanted to do from time to time, and I like my life now. I have had many failures, many setbacks, and many painful experiences. ButWhen the choice of "to do or not to do" came before me, I had the courage to make the decision to do it, which means that I have few regrets about what I should have done at that time.

My only such regret?

However, there is only one thing that I regret immensely. That is.The only thing I can say is that I have squandered the chance to drive a Porsche on the Romantic Road in Germany.
In October 2014, my husband and I went to Germany for a very late honeymoon (two years after we were married). At the time, we did not yet have a Porsche at home, and my husband was working hard, dreaming of a Porsche someday. My husband decided that if we were going to travel all the way to Germany, he would like toRent a Porsche, drive on the autobahn, travel south on the Romantic Road, and visit the Porsche Museum, Mercedes-Benz Museum, BMW Museum, and Audi Museum.I made a process called. (What kind of honeymoon is that?)

Before going on the trip, my husband told me, "You should definitely get an international driver's license. At the time, I had reluctantly graduated from being a paper driver after the birth of my first child. I often hit and scraped my car, and I had even less confidence in my driving than I do now.

So no matter how much my husband tells me to

I'm not going to let you do this! I can't drive a Porsche in a foreign country, with left-hand drive, in the opposite lane from Japan, and on top of that, I can't drive a Porsche.

He was so stubborn that he did not get a driver's license.

I don't have to drive. You don't have to drive, just keep the international driver's license. But I said I would never take it because I didn't want to be in trouble if I had an accident and ran over someone.

No way 911, no way Carrera 4S

My husband had booked a Boxster, but there was a mistake with the rental car company and he was at the counter at the local airport. Now that the Boxster is out, can we go with the Carrera 4S?"They said something like (I think they said either the Macan or the Carrera 4S...) and my husband was like...Seriously! I never thought I'd get to drive a 911, that's a dream come true!"I remember being very excited.(This is the car I rented at the time)

And I was a passenger specializing in the passenger seat, and while I thought it was indeed a nice car, I almost fell asleep because of the sheer pleasure of the Autobahn and the Romantic Road....(We drove on these beautiful roads)

And so, in spite of the bombing, I returned home with a great deal of satisfaction in my own way.

Why, why, why...that time....

But I think now that the

Why did I pass up the chance to drive a Porsche on Germany's Romantic Road when it was right in front of me?

And.

Are you an idiot? And...(-_-)

There are not many roads in Japan, especially in the Kansai region, where one can drive comfortably. Even when I drive the Panamera, I always wish there were more roads where the Panamera could show its power.

It must have been a great feeling to drive a Porsche along the Romantic Road in Germany under clear skies, through meadows as far as the eye can see, straight roads with no traffic lights, and gentle, pleasant curves.

I think my husband was going a tremendous speed on the Autobahn, too.(Probably doing about 200 km/h)It is rare to be able to drive a Porsche on the autobahn, where the true value of a Porsche can be demonstrated.

I may still have a chance in my life, but if I go again, it will probably be with my children, so that may have been my only chance to run as a couple while I was still young, without worrying about the time.

It was really... a stupid thing to do (-_-)....

People have been told that "It's not the regret of doing it, it's the regret of not doing it.But the opportunity that is now before me is to take a chance.(Except for what is unethical or physically impossible)Anyway, let's do it with yes. We only live once, and we want to move forward with care and without regrets.

I always enjoy your work on Twitter.
I certainly regret not driving it on our honeymoon, but if you change your mindset, now that you know "what the Panamera is capable of that you haven't seen yet," the next time you take a trip to Germany and drive it, you'll be several times more impressed! Germany is not going away, so you can just go back there again (lol)!

      Mr. R230BRABUS!
      Thank you on twitter too!
      Wow, you are absolutely right!
      >Now that we know that the "Panamera's still unseen capabilities" are there, I'm sure the next time you take a trip to Germany and drive it, you'll be several times more impressed!
That's exactly right! I almost cried... (LOL) I'm instantly looking forward to my next trip to Germany! (I don't have any plans at all...)
I will definitely drive it myself next time ^^^!
