I've driven the Fuji Speedway circuit in a Porsche Panamera Turbo!

Finally, the parade run!

I've been writing about the Porsche Experience at Fuji Speedway for a while now...but today I'm going to write about the parade run. This is a program that allows you to drive your car on the circuit, and a limited number of 70 Porsches will be available for participation over the 70th anniversary of the event.I was able to get a number on a first-come, first-served basis, but I lined up before 8:00 a.m. and the parade run actually started at 5:30 p.m., after all the races on the circuit were over.

So I headed to the designated place to attend the briefing at 4:30 p.m. Almost everyone was already waiting, even though it was before the time. I often hear that Porsche fans are nice and serious people, but no, it's really true... Holy shit!

Attend Briefing

Participants were promptly given something like a parking ticket, like a sticker.

Instructions were given to put it on the rearview mirror. It took the staff approximately 10 minutes to

Directions to enter the circuit
Always drive with headlights on.
Tune your radio to 79.7 for live coverage at Fuji Speedway.
Circuit runs two laps.
After completing two laps and exiting the circuit, the rest of the group broke up.

After that, each person went to his or her own car.

And thenFuji, which until now had been shrouded in clouds and not shown itself at all, finally appeared before us!

Oh... it's huge!

Finally, it's time to get in the car and head to the track!

We quickly get into the car, start the engine, and turn on the headlights as instructed by the staff. First we had to bring the car to a designated spot to wait in three lines.Everyone is very well mannered and has an unbelievable spirit of giving and taking care of each other.

Then, they wait in formation here.

We waited for quite a while - maybe 20 minutes or so.

After that, we finally went to the circuit.

The moment I entered the circuit, I was somehow very moved.I've never been one of those "I want to drive on the track so bad!" kind of people, and I've never been interested in it. I had never been a person who wanted to drive on a race track, nor was I interested in doing so, but I had never seen such a wide road, and I could see over the spectators' seats, which gave me a unique atmosphere with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

We parked our cars in three rows, and from there, we took pictures of Porsche Japan.

'Hey owners! Please wave the flag - it looks like fun and "Porsche is the best!" and I'll take your picture!"

The announcement was made and everyone followed the instructions, but I wondered if Porsche fans are shy.(Me too, but...)

Everyone should be very excited, but I didn't feel like I could play at all, and I only waved my flag a bit in a reserved manner... (laughs).

Um...let's make it a little more fun...?

More hands down~!

Like, "Porsche is the best!

The parade run won't start until this is over!

After being told a lot of things, everyone finally finished safely with everyone smiling and waving their hands down. Then there was a five-minute grid walk, and

Finally, the driving starts.

Let's get this thing running!

Since we're here, we put it in Sports Plus mode and off we go!

The first lap, however, was a slow and sluggish ride to get the 70 cars into a single file formation.

Gradually, the speed started to increase and there were quite a few hairpin curves, and there were times when I got carried away and sped up.(I mean, it's the Panamera Turbo's Sport Plus mode, so it speeds right up when you step on it a little bit.)

To my husband.

Brake, brake! Keep going and you'll get stuck!

I was told from the side, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

I've been driving a Panamera for a while now.I can't turn! I'm going to get sideswiped!" I had never felt such a feeling at all, but I felt G and centrifugal force so much that I felt a little fear.

There were also 90-degree curves after uphill climbs and sharp turns with no idea of what was ahead...well...it is truly amazing that racers can fight at over 200 km/h on a course like this.

Until now."Oh my God, why didn't he pull out at the right place!" I can't believe they pulled me out at the right place, I'm so mentally weak!"I am so sorry for what I said. I finally understand how great you all are. I'm going to change the way I look at racing from now on.

I wish I had memorized the course at Fuji Speedway," he said.

I told you so! You don't know the course, and you're so bad at taking the course, that's why you get dumped on the side like this (-_-)."

I was told. My husband riding beside me must have been terrified (bomb), and yetFuji and being able to drive on the Fuji Speedway next to it...It felt crazy good.

Ended with great satisfaction

Two laps of the circuit went by quickly.I'm like, "Oh my God, I'm done! I want to run 10 more laps!I left the circuit with a feeling of "I'm not going to be able to do this.

The live commentator announced, "When leaving the circuit, everyone put on their blinkers, as expected of Porsche fans! Good manners!" I could hear the voice of the driver saying, "You are all very well mannered!

Indeed (laughs).

This Porsche Experience Day was a lot of fun, and the parade run on the track was a lot of fun, but it was also a lot of fun.I was also able to get a feel for the atmosphere of the Porsche fans.It was also great to meet people I had been communicating with on twitter and to meet new people, all of whom were very nice people.

I thank my husband for this experience.

Dinner is...

The parade run ended around 6:30pm. Fuji, and I had the precious experience of driving a Porsche on the circuit, I felt that it would be a bad thing if I wished for more.Co, just go to the convenience store!I had to buy a lunch box at a convenience store and ate it back at the hotel (laughs).

Incidentally, I will be coming home today, but I decided not to go see the 919 Hybrid Tribute run on the Hakone Turnpike. I already saw the 919 Hybrid Tribute up close and personal yesterday.(I'll post my thoughts on that and others in a separate post.)I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but since it's an EV car, it doesn't make any noise at all and it's raining heavily today in Hakone, I thought I'd let it go.

Fuji and decided to head home for the day...

A breaking news report of an earthquake in Osaka. I guess I better go home soon anyway!
