What are the actual annual maintenance costs calculated for the new Porsche Panamera Turbo?

New Panamera Turbo
Porsche Maintenance Costs

Mileage exceeds 10,000km

The new Panamera Turbo has traveled over 10,000 km.The car was delivered on October 12, 2017, so it's been about 8 months and 10,000 km. But for someone who drives a Porsche, I'd say "Not even 10% of the break-in period is over.I guess it's like "W

So, now that we have a concrete idea of the total fuel consumption at over 10,000 km and the costs involved, such as oil changes during that time, we have calculated the annual maintenance costs for the new Panamera Turbo.

I wrote this article on the previous 970 Panamera Edition, but

I calculated the annual maintenance cost of a Porsche Panamera to be between 622,900 yen and 1,042,900 yen.

This time, not including the cost of parking and insurance.(Parking prices vary from area to area, depending on whether you own a home or an apartment, insurance costs vary depending on your age, etc.)I decided to calculate the annual maintenance cost of the Panameterbo.

(1) Gasoline

First of all, gas money.Total fuel consumption after 10,000 km is 7.0 km/l.The Panamera's gas tank holds 90 liters of gasoline, so even if you refueled with a tank full of gasoline, you would still be able to use the same amount of gasoline. So far, I have refueled 14-15 times with a full tank of high-octane gas.

As for the cost of gasoline, the price has changed quite a bit and I was wondering what to base my decision on and found this website.

→High-octane prices in the last one year
There are so many different sites out there.

according to this(Calculated using high-octane sign prices), ,

October 2017 140.4 yen
November 2017 144.6 yen
December 2017 147.1 yen
January 2018 149.2 yen
February 2018 149.6 yen
March 2018 147.5 yen
April 2018 149 yen
May 2018 154.1 yen
June 2018 157.5 yen

Since it seems thatThe average price of gasoline from the time of delivery to now is 148.7 yen.

148.7 x 90l(gasoline tank capacity of Panamera)×What about x15 times?

...
...
...200,745 yen (;)!

2,2305 yen per month. That's quite a lot of money.

But my husband...

The fuel economy is the same as the previous Panamera edition, so I think it's cheaper that way. Also, even if you cruise on the highway at a little higher speed than 100km/h, if you don't accelerate or decelerate as much as possible, you can still get 10km/l, which is excellent.

(2) Oil change and oil refill

until nowTwo oil changes at the dealer and one oil refill by ourselvesThe company is doing this.

The first oil change was done in conjunction with the initial inspection.

First oil change for Porsche Panamera Turbo - cost 47,558 yen

The second one was done earlier this month.

Second oil change after delivery of Porsche Panamera - cost was 40,818 yen

47558 and 40818 yen, respectively.

Also, as for the oil refill, we did it ourselves, so if we calculate the oil cost, it would be 7100 yen.

By the way, I went to Fuji Speedway last weekend and lost about 1/4 of the oil, so I may need to top off again in a little while.

(iii) Automobile tax

The Panamera Turbo isSince the car falls into the category of "total displacement of over 3.5 liters and under 4 liters," the annual automobile tax is 66,500 yen.
Source.Automobile tax.infoAmount of automobile tax

I mean, what is the car tax...? It seems that it is not necessarily used for road maintenance or anything related to cars, so why should we have to pay such a high tax just to own a car is a mystery (-_-).

(4) Tire replacement

Porsche is aApproved tires as factory-installed tires are issued with a certification code beginning with N.The tires are made by Porsche, which means that they are manufactured to meet Porsche's requirements. It seems that even a single tire is very deep.

For certified tires for each Porsche vehicle model, please contactPorsche Japan Official SiteYou can find out from

The description of summer tires alone is on page 31, for all models. The new Panamera Turbo was mentioned on page 30. Our Panamera has

Wheel size, 21 inches
Front 9,5J x 21 Pirelli P-Zero Continental ContiSportContact 5 P
Rear 11,5J x 21 Pirelli P-Zero Continental ContiSportContact 5 P

And that's why...

I mean, the tires are different on the front and rear wheels! (p.p.) (p.p.) (p.p.) (p.p.) (p.p.)

I didn't know...

You can check them out on price.com.Around 50,000 for one front tire. Rear tires cost around 80,000.So the cost of tires alone would be about 250,000.

My husband has been trying to get the Boxster to change this at the dealership, which would be a huge hassle.Nishinomiya BaseThe first time I went to the hospital, I had to have it replaced by a

When purchasing tires, he said it would be easy because he could mail them directly to the store instead of at home and then bring his car to have the rest done.As for the labor charge, it also stated 10,800 yen for four 21-inch wheels.Conscientious.

And considering all that, should we be looking at 300,000 yen for tire replacement?

According to my husband, the tires have a little less tread on them now, so they won't last until 20,000 km, so I guess I'll have to change them by the end of the year or the beginning of the new year.

5) Vehicle inspection

Inspections are initially three years for new cars and every two years thereafter, and will probably cost about 300,000 yen unless there is a particularly major defect.

Panamera, what is the annual maintenance cost?

So, how do you calculate all of this?

(1) Gasoline cost: 22305 x 12 months = 267,660 yen
(2) Oil change and replenishment: 47558 yen + 40818 yen + 7100 x 2 = 102,576 yen
(iii) Automobile tax: 66,500 yen
(4) Tire replacement: 300,000 yen
(5) Vehicle inspection: 150,000 yen (divided by 2 years)
Total: 886,736 yen(not including parking fees and insurance)

The amount of money is now "about $3,000". Whether you think this is cheap or expensive is a matter of personal judgment, but whatever the case may be, you have to work hard to earn your money.

These are the annual maintenance cost calculations for the Panamera.
