At the <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.porsche.com\/dam\/jcr:97e6ac62-edd8-4312-9462-b4fe0c271396\/Annual%20and%20Sustainability%20Report%202022%20Porsche%20AG.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently held annual general meeting<\/a>, Porsche announced it will continue to offer gasoline engines across all segments for more than the next decade.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, it revealed that <strong>two new 911 variations will be introduced<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"70s-Inspired_Limited_Edition\"><\/span>70s-Inspired Limited Edition<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>One is a heritage-style model inspired by the 1970s 911. Developed by Porsche\u2019s personalization division, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, this will be a <strong>limited production<\/strong> model.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the third of four heritage-style special editions based on the 992 generation 911. As part of the \u201cHeritage Design Strategy,\u201d the first was the 2021 \u201c911 Targa 4S Heritage Design,\u201d followed by the 2023 \u201c911 Sport Classic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Looking back at previous heritage design models, each was an attractive design that combined iconic Porsche classics with a modern interpretation. This 70s-inspired model will surely be irresistible to longtime Porsche fans. Personally, I expect the design motif to be around the 930 generation.<\/p>\n<p>And I <strong>predict it will be based on the Cabriolet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-28670\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/DBB1339E-E374-42EC-A4E6-7E891B3C4A60-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 992\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_Flagship_Model\"><\/span>New Flagship Model<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The other is a new flagship model that Porsche claims will \u201craise the bar even higher\u201d in the sports car segment. This is likely the next-generation 911 GT2 RS or Turbo model. Test vehicles have been spotted on public roads since mid-2024.<\/p>\n<p>The previous GT2 RS produced 700 horsepower from a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine. While many details about the next model remain unknown, rumors suggest it could be <strong>boosted to nearly 1,000 horsepower<\/strong> and incorporate some form of electrification technology.<\/p>\n<p>The GT2 RS, reigning at the pinnacle of the 911 lineup, has always been a special showcase of Porsche\u2019s technical prowess. The previous model thrilled Porsche owners worldwide with its overwhelming performance. We\u2019re eagerly awaiting to see how the next generation evolves.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-28305\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/0A7C75AD-AB27-4A53-95A3-B8FAD6FA34C8-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"911GT2RS\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Porsches_Strategy\"><\/span>Porsche\u2019s Strategy<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Porsche positions high-end versions of the 911 and other models as a key strategy to increase profits without significantly boosting sales volume. This strategy, called \u201cRoad to 20,\u201d aims to achieve <strong>long-term operating profits exceeding 20%<\/strong>, up from the current target of 15\u201317%.<\/p>\n<p>Limited editions and high-performance models can secure high profit margins even with low production volumes.
