Ogi and Yahagi\u2019s Car History<\/h3>\n

Ogi and Yahagi\u2019s Car History<\/a> is a well-known car show among automotive fans.<\/p>\n

Many guests say things like \u201cI\u2019m so glad they finally invited me!\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cI\u2019ve been waiting for the call!\u201d<\/strong> So it must be popular with car enthusiasts in the entertainment industry, too. And I\u2019m sure just about everyone who watches has wondered, \u201cWhat if I appeared on Car History with my own cars\u2026?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll admit, I\u2019ve imagined being on the show myself. But then I realized:<\/p>\n

Oh, right\u2014I\u2019ve never owned a car. Not even one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Buy a Car!<\/h3>\n

That\u2019s right. So far, my own car history is \u201cnothing\u201d\u2014it\u2019s my husband who has a car history. \u201cI guess that means I can\u2019t go on Car History yet. What a shame. (Not that I\u2019m famous enough to be on it in the first place.)<\/span>\u201d With that thought in mind, my family and I went to Super Autobacs yesterday. Inside, we found a Honda S660<\/a> on display.<\/p>\n

Its concept is apparently \u201ca car that makes adults want one.\u201d As a kei-class sports car with a manual transmission, it made a splash when it first went on sale. I also remember seeing Becky drive one on TV and thinking, \u201cBecky can drive a stick shift? That\u2019s so cool!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019d been a little curious about the S660 for a while, but seeing it up close, I thought it was even cooler than I expected: simple, sporty, and beautifully free of excess. The body was so compact, though, that I wondered, \u201cCan adults really fit in this?\u201d Still, I suppose that small size is exactly what makes it feel like such a personal little sidekick.<\/p>\n

On the drive home, I started daydreaming:<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the Panamera, maybe I\u2019d like to own an S660 as a second car\u2026<\/strong>It\u2019d be a great way to practice driving a manual, too. Oh, but we\u2019d need a lot more parking space.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was grinning to myself as the fantasy grew\u2014then suddenly came back to reality.<\/p>\n

\u2026But I haven\u2019t even bought my first car yet\u2026(LOL)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Time to get back to work next week!<\/p>\n
