It turned out to be a great opportunity to <strong>rediscover the charm of Porsche owners and the Taycan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t just about enjoying driving or traveling; connecting with other owners and learning about the unique touches each car had made me love Porsche even more.<\/p>\n<p>What left the biggest impression was hearing the <strong>\u201creal voices\u201d<\/strong> directly from the owners. I got to hear info you won\u2019t find in catalogs or specs\u2014things you only understand by owning and driving the car\u2014especially many discoveries about charging.<\/p>\n<p>Now, here are some highlights that stayed with me from the gathering.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%91%A0_Porsche_Owners_Are_All_Great_People\"><\/span>\u2460 Porsche Owners Are All Great People<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Of course, there are all kinds of people out there, and I can\u2019t say <strong>&#8220;Because they\u2019re Porsche owners&#8221; or &#8220;Because they own this model&#8221;<\/strong> defines them\u2026 but this time, even though most were strangers to me, everyone was kind, friendly, and warmly welcoming, including their families. No one was bragging\u2014just pure <strong>\u201clove for the Taycan\u201d brought everyone together. It was a naturally reassuring and comfortable atmosphere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also impressive was how positive the conversations were. Instead of complaining like <strong>&#8220;This car has this flaw,&#8221;<\/strong> everyone was laughing and saying <strong>&#8220;This car is amazing because of this,&#8221;<\/strong> radiating positive vibes. That warm, upbeat energy really felt wonderful.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%91%A1_Getting_to_See_Taycans_Packed_with_Personal_Touches\"><\/span>\u2461 Getting to See Taycans Packed with Personal Touches<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>With models like the 911 or 718, it\u2019s common to imagine owners ordering with lots of detailed customization, but I hadn\u2019t really had that impression with the Taycan.<\/strong> Of course, some owners do customize, but I hadn\u2019t encountered many.<\/p>\n<p>This gathering, however, let me see many uniquely spec\u2019d Taycans, which was a lot of fun.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the Taycan Cross Turismo in Crayon color paired with the Off-Road Package was beautifully done. Another Taycan in a green shade (maybe Oak Green Metallic Neo?) with side decals looked aggressive at first glance but was perfectly balanced and incredibly cool. (I forgot to take photos\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>Looking at each car, I thought, <strong>&#8220;Wow, you can really have fun customizing the Taycan too!&#8221;<\/strong> and it got me excited.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%91%A2_The_Taycan_Can_Keep_Going_Even_with_Very_Low_Charge_No_Need_to_Panic\"><\/span>\u2462 The Taycan Can Keep Going Even with Very Low Charge (No Need to Panic)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>During conversations, an owner said, <strong>&#8220;The Taycan can still drive with just 2% charge left!&#8221;<\/strong> which really surprised me (laughs). Apparently, it can even go a bit on 0%. One story was about leaving home, driving up to the 5th Station of Mt. Fuji, then coming back without trouble (since the Taycan is an EV, it can apparently make it all the way up Mt. Fuji).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34995\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Gdbb9f2awAAzhe4-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I felt a bit embarrassed for getting nervous whenever my charge dropped below 50%.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by this, <strong>recently on a business trip to Nagoya (about 180 km), I tried returning home without charging on the way back.<\/strong> I got a bit worried when the charge dropped below 30%, but I managed to endure the 15% warning and arrived home safely.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34994\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GdeRsFNa0AAUSM7-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even at 15%, the display showed I could still drive about 40 km, and I made it home with 12% left. I gained a bit of confidence realizing it\u2019s more capable than I thought. (I tend to panic too much, haha.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34996\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/GdedbNAXAAAQ_ne.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan\" width=\"506\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At home, we have a 200V regular charger installed in the parking space, set to charge from 10 PM to 7 AM (to take advantage of cheaper nighttime rates). By the next day, the battery was back up to about 50%, and the day after that, it reached 80%.<\/p>\n<p>Since I don\u2019t drive over 300 km every day, this charging setup is more than enough. It\u2019s like charging a smartphone. I\u2019m gradually getting used to living with an EV (and realizing there\u2019s no need to be so scared).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Im_Going_to_Drive_My_Taycan_Hard\"><\/span>I\u2019m Going to Drive My Taycan Hard!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When I drove gasoline cars, I\u2019d get anxious once the fuel dropped below half and rush to fill up. So, <strong>I was always worried about \u201crunning out of charge\u201d with the EV too, but after hearing everyone\u2019s stories and experiences, my mindset has changed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Honestly, you really don\u2019t have to worry that much (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>For now, even when I replace my car next time, I\u2019m thinking it\u2019ll be another Taycan because I like it that much.
