With trains, you can check your phone or reply to emails during the ride, but when you\u2019re driving, you can\u2019t do that. Your hands are busy the whole time, so it\u2019s a lot.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>That\u2019s absolutely true.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you think about it normally, using public transportation like trains is definitely better.<\/p>\n<p>The fare is cheaper (for example, going from home to Osaka costs way less by train than by ETC tolls), and you usually arrive at the station on time. It\u2019s convenient because you\u2019re guaranteed to reach your destination once you\u2019re on the train.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, with a car, <strong>you can get stuck in traffic and lose track of your arrival time, which can be stressful, and sometimes there\u2019s no parking near your destination.<\/strong> Also, with the Taycan being a large vehicle, you might find yourself circling around looking for a spot.<\/p>\n<p>So, when you think about it, traveling by train or public transit is overwhelmingly better.<\/p>\n<p>But when I ask myself, <strong>&#8220;Why do I still choose to travel by car?&#8221;<\/strong>, the answer for me is this:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\"><strong>The time I spend driving is precious \u201cme time\u201d where no one can disturb me.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With three kids to raise and work to handle, my days are hectic, always juggling multiple things at once, thinking, <strong>&#8220;Next I have to do this, then that&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong> \u2014 my mind is always busy.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, unexpected things happen all the time (just the other day, my eldest daughter\u2019s friend suddenly stayed over at our house, haha),<\/p>\n<p><strong>so even if I want to be alone, it\u2019s hard to find that time \u2014 except when I\u2019m driving, where I can be by myself.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even if it\u2019s just for 30 minutes, having <strong>a physical space that\u2019s just mine<\/strong> is incredibly important and precious to me right now.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33899\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2156-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Two_Essential_Points\"><\/span>Two Essential Points<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To truly savor that alone time in the car, there are two points I absolutely can\u2019t compromise on:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2460 Driving and handling feel natural and enjoyable<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2461 Driving lifts my spirits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even if I\u2019m driving alone, if I find myself thinking, <strong>&#8220;Hmm, the handling here isn\u2019t quite right&#8230;&#8221; or &#8220;I wish the brakes had a bit more bite&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong>, then I get distracted by those thoughts and can\u2019t fully enjoy my precious alone time.<\/p>\n<p>Having a <strong>\u201coneness between car and driver\u201d with no awkwardness in the driving experience, and feeling good behind the wheel<\/strong> is a very important point.<\/p>\n<p>The second point is that driving should boost my mood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Wow, this acceleration is amazing!,&#8221; &#8220;This lane change feels fantastic!!!,&#8221; &#8220;My Porsche looks so cool reflected in the tanker ahead!&#8221;<\/strong> (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not necessary to feel pumped up all the time.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the time, I want to drive calmly, but on days when I want to really enjoy driving, it\u2019s great when the car responds perfectly to that desire.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to experience that <strong>&#8220;Yes! This is it!&#8221; kind of smile-inducing feeling.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Looking at it from these points, Porsche is the car that fulfills these needs. I\u2019m currently driving the electric Taycan, but the essence of driving is pure Porsche. Even if it\u2019s not a sports model (whether it\u2019s a Cayenne, Macan, or Panamera),<\/p>\n<p>you can still enjoy the Porsche experience \u2014 and that\u2019s what makes Porsche so wonderful.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33649\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/unnamed-1280x853.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Enriching_Life\"><\/span>Enriching Life<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I think there are many things in life that can\u2019t be explained by logic alone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There\u2019s a part beyond \u201cefficiency\u201d and \u201crationality\u201d \u2014 a realm of feelings and senses that words can\u2019t fully capture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to put into words, but things like \u201cliking,\u201d \u201cenjoying,\u201d and \u201csmiling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A life surrounded by even just one of those things is surely a rich life.<\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s world, where we\u2019re chased by time and numbers and risk losing sight of what\u2019s truly important \u2014 at least for me (haha) \u2014<\/p>\n<p>I want to continue cherishing a life with Porsche.<\/p>\n<p>I still have a loan to pay off, so I need to work hard to maintain it properly!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Isn\u2019t Traveling by Car a Hassle?
