The motor output is higher, the driving range has increased, and acceleration is quicker.<br \/>\nAdditionally, charging speed has improved, and there are advancements in stability and hardware as well.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_33830\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33830\" class=\"wp-image-33830 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2639-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-33830\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Exterior color: Oak Green Metallic Neo<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Acceleration has notably improved across all grades. For models 4S and above, the Sport Chrono Package now includes a new Push-to-Pass feature that lets you use a 70kW boost for 10 seconds by pressing a button, and the <strong>driving range has increased by an impressive 35% or more<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The car I test drove had a <strong>battery capacity at about 80% and a driving range exceeding 410 km<\/strong>. Our Taycan 4S has large 21-inch tires, which is a disadvantage, and its full charge range is just under 400 km, so this is quite an advancement. This is because the new model\u2019s Performance Battery Plus capacity increased from 93 kWh to 105 kWh, along with improved efficiency.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_33823\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33823\" class=\"wp-image-33823 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2596-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-33823\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">20-inch Off-Road Design Wheels<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The suspension has also been upgraded. The spring suspension PASM, which was standard on base models before, is now replaced by <strong>adaptive air suspension as standard across all models<\/strong>. Additionally, the Porsche Active Ride Suspension option is now available.<\/p>\n<p>This system keeps the body level during braking, handling, and acceleration, and almost completely absorbs bumps. Unfortunately, the test car didn\u2019t have this feature, but personally, if I were to buy the new Taycan, it would be one of the options I\u2019d want. This option costs about 1.2 million yen and also offers convenience features like instantly raising the ride height when getting in.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Exterior_and_Interior_Changes\"><\/span>Exterior and Interior Changes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Looking at the exterior, the side and rear views are almost unchanged from the previous generation.<\/p>\n<p>Even as a Taycan owner, I can hardly tell the difference. However, the front headlight area has changed: on models below Turbo, the headlights and the vertical cutout are separated, giving a somewhat smooth impression reminiscent of Tesla.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_33824\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33824\" class=\"size-large wp-image-33824\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2589-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Front of Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-33824\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">On the new model, the headlights and vertical air intake cutout are separated<\/p><\/div>\n<p>By the way, Turbo and above models keep the headlights and vertical cutout connected like the previous generation, so they have a similar, more aggressive face. If you prefer a <strong>more imposing front look, choosing a Turbo or higher model is recommended<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The interior design is almost the same, with only a slight difference in the Sport Chrono Package\u2019s clock design. Hardware-wise it\u2019s the same, but some meter designs have changed, such as a battery icon displayed on the left meter, making it easier to check remaining charge and driving range.<br \/>\nAlso, a new feature allows you to customize and save settings for Sport and Sport Plus modes, which I found very convenient.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33817\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2603-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo Meter\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Real_Driving_Feel_and_Power_Differences_in_the_New_Taycan\"><\/span>Real Driving Feel and Power Differences in the New Taycan<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When actually driving, this model was the base Taycan 4 Cross Turismo without the S badge, but the low-speed torque feel is clearly improved compared to the previous base model.<\/p>\n<p>The low-speed torque response when pressing the accelerator is excellent, giving a power feel almost like our 4S.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_7150-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even at low speeds in town, it feels powerful and very easy to drive. The suspension is very smooth, and although the test car had 20-inch tires, the <strong>ride quality is light and refined<\/strong>\u2014a perfect description. Despite a firm ride, it\u2019s comfortable. This is classic Porsche craftsmanship.<br \/>\nAt high speeds, the difference from the previous generation is less noticeable, but at low speeds, I definitely felt it was more refined.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned earlier, the power is clearly up compared to the previous base model. It\u2019s fast enough, though not quite as \u201cnoticeably fast\u201d as the 4S, but generally it\u2019s a quick car. While the 4S obviously excels in high-speed acceleration, <strong>the base model never feels slow and handles overtaking effortlessly without stress.<\/strong> This is one of the big improvements in the new model. This alone makes the new Taycan well worth choosing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33818\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2602-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Taycan_Is_Undoubtedly_a_Highly_Recommended_Porsche\"><\/span>The Taycan Is Undoubtedly a Highly Recommended Porsche<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I truly believe the Taycan is an amazing car. No exaggeration.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s almost a mystery why it isn\u2019t selling more.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33814\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2607-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo Interior\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you have a power outlet at home or can have one installed, and you\u2019re considering anything other than a 911, Boxster, or Cayman, you should buy a Taycan.<\/p>\n<p>I wholeheartedly recommend it.<\/p>\n<p>Installing a normal 200V outlet costs just a few tens of thousands of yen. Especially if you already drive a 911, Cayman, or Boxster and your family or spouse drives a Panamera or Cayenne, you should definitely choose the Taycan next.<br \/>\nI suspect <strong>the less interested your spouse is in cars, the more they\u2019ll love the Taycan.<\/strong> My wife says, \u201cI can never go back to the Panamera. I can only think of the Taycan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Usually, you won\u2019t drive 400\u2013500 km every day.<br \/>\nMost often, your spouse will drive short distances like shopping or school runs\u2014maybe 10 or 20 km a day. In that case, <strong>just plugging in at home will recharge the battery within a few hours enough to cover the day\u2019s driving<\/strong>, so you can keep driving without worrying about refueling. It\u2019s just like charging a smartphone.<\/p>\n<p>Also, since it\u2019s an electric car, there\u2019s no need to warm up the engine, so short trips don\u2019t wear the car down.<br \/>\nAnd when waiting for your kids, you can stay comfortable inside with the air conditioning on. Without an engine, there are no exhaust fumes, making the cabin comfortable\u2014another advantage of electric cars.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_33813\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33813\" class=\"size-large wp-image-33813\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2630-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-33813\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Cross Turismo\u2019s solid rear presence is a charm! Like a 911 Carrera 4S.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>When it comes to driving, needless to say, the Taycan\u2019s steering is extremely precise, like threading a needle.<\/p>\n<p>This is classic Porsche magic: it\u2019s accurate without artificial quick handling effects, and the car moves exactly as you expect, so it\u2019s not tiring. Despite its large size, acceleration is effortless, and unlike engine cars, there\u2019s no gear shifting at low speeds, so you can enjoy the seamless 435 horsepower even at stoplights or in traffic. This is something <strong>no matter how good a V8 engine is, it simply can\u2019t match the motor\u2019s torque feel and smoothness.<\/strong><br \/>\nYou don\u2019t have to wait for the revs to rise like an engine car\u2014you get that power instantly. <strong>It\u2019s 435 horsepower you can enjoy and use every day. That\u2019s why it\u2019s fun.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33827\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/IMG_2594-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4 Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The brakes work well, it\u2019s quiet and stable, agile, precise, and stress-free.<\/p>\n<p>I can confidently say the Taycan is a fantastic car.<br \/>\nYou\u2019ll never buy it and think \u201cthe performance is no good,\u201d so please consider it with confidence.<\/p>\n<p>This car deserves more recognition.
