Initially, the watches were made by Orfina, before production moved to a partnership with IWC in 1978. Eterna took over from 1998 to 2014, and today Porsche Design manufactures its watches in-house.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Special_Chronograph_Celebrating_50_Years_of_the_911_Turbo\"><\/span>A Special Chronograph Celebrating 50 Years of the 911 Turbo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Porsche Design\u2019s latest creation celebrates the 50th anniversary of the legendary 911 Turbo, widely regarded as one of Porsche\u2019s most groundbreaking cars. When it arrived in 1974, the 911 Turbo stunned the world as the fastest road car of its time. Its flared wheel arches, whale-tail spoiler, breathtaking acceleration, and 240 km\/h top speed became design classics.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-33496\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Close_up_of_the_new_50Y_Chronograph-1280x1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The special Chronograph 1 \u2013 911 Turbo 50 Years is <strong>limited to 500 pieces<\/strong>. It was created to mark the occasion because the original Chronograph 1 went on sale around the same time as the first-generation 911 Turbo.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_Features_of_the_Chronograph_1_%E2%80%93_911_Turbo_50_Years\"><\/span>Key Features of the Chronograph 1 \u2013 911 Turbo 50 Years<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This special edition comes with a number of distinctive details:<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>Case<\/strong>: Lightweight titanium with a scratch-resistant titanium carbide coating.<br \/>\n2. <strong>Dial<\/strong>: Inspired by the three main gauges visible through the first-generation Turbo\u2019s steering wheel, with matching white hands and indices.<br \/>\n3. <strong>Chronograph seconds hand<\/strong>: Vivid red, echoing the needles of the car\u2019s speedometer and tachometer.<br \/>\n4. <strong>Flyback function<\/strong>: The word \u201cFlyback\u201d appears above the 6 o\u2019clock position. The sapphire crystal display back features an instantly recognizable \u201cTurbo\u201d inscription. Beneath it is an <strong>automatic rotor inspired by the Fuchs wheel<\/strong>, famous for its cloverleaf design, with the Porsche crest at its center.<\/p>\n<p>The strap pairs beige leather with textile, a tribute to the colors of the original production 911 Turbo. It also features a \u201cTurbo\u201d logo.
