My first time was before COVID, so it had been a while.<br \/>\nSince the course content has changed and become even more fulfilling, I want to share my experience.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Changes_to_the_Master_Course_%E2%80%93_Enhanced_Content_and_Small_Group_Format\"><\/span>Changes to the Master Course &#8211; Enhanced Content and Small Group Format<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Master Course is currently the most advanced course offered in Japan\u2019s Porsche Track Experience. To participate, you must have completed other courses beforehand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This time, the Master Course had undergone significant changes compared to before.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe price has increased to about 330,000 yen, but the number of participants has been reduced, giving each person more driving time.<br \/>\nI found this to be a very attractive improvement.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32926\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_1469-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Track Experience (Porsche Driving School)\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32930\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_1609-1280x717.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Track Experience (Porsche Driving School)\" width=\"1280\" height=\"717\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The course content has also changed dramatically. Previously, the focus was on cone exercises in a large parking lot, but <strong>this time, the training centered on using a short course and gymkhana course for more authentic practice.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis made it easier to visualize corners and racing lines, and allowed us to learn more practical techniques.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Practical_Training_%E2%80%93_Mastering_the_S-Curve\"><\/span>Practical Training &#8211; Mastering the S-Curve<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Before running on the circuit, the Master Course includes various training exercises. What left the strongest impression on me was the <strong>S-curve practice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You accelerate at full throttle, brake, then enter the S-curve at full throttle. Switching between left and right corners, you finally accelerate again at full throttle to exit the curve.<br \/>\n<strong>This S-curve is extremely challenging and physically demanding.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32932\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_1606-1280x856.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Track Experience (Porsche Driving School)\" width=\"1280\" height=\"856\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are many other training exercises, and we drive intensively from morning till evening. Although we take breaks, there is hardly any rest as we keep driving all day.<br \/>\nAt the end, we get to run on the main course exclusively, but by then, I was completely exhausted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"ja\">Thanks to the driving school, I shaved about 1 second off my lap time compared to the March track day, and I can now consistently hit my best lap. The instructor\u2019s throttle application was perfect, completely different from how I drive.<\/p>\n<p><strong>By the time the car exits the corner, it\u2019s already straight.<\/strong> Stepping on the accelerator results in incredible acceleration toward the next corner.<br \/>\nIn contrast, I was still mid-corner, wobbling as I pressed the accelerator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From experiencing the instructor\u2019s driving, I learned that the key to cornering lies in the exit acceleration.<\/strong><br \/>\nThis requires calculating everything perfectly from the moment you enter the corner.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_I_Gained_%E2%80%93_The_Mindset_and_Skills_Needed_for_Circuit_Driving\"><\/span>What I Gained &#8211; The Mindset and Skills Needed for Circuit Driving<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Participating in the Master Course made me deeply appreciate the complexity of circuit driving. It requires not only skill but also strong mental fortitude.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s physically demanding, and you must maintain concentration at all times.<\/strong><br \/>\nBut I believe that challenging your limits like this definitely helps you grow.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32928\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_1462-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Track Experience (Porsche Driving School)\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What I gained from the Master Course was the mindset necessary for circuit driving and a wealth of driving techniques.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The cornering methods, in particular, were eye-opening.<\/strong><br \/>\nI feel confident that if I make the instructor\u2019s techniques my own, my driving will surely improve.<\/p>\n<p>I believe participating in the Master Course is essential for anyone who drives on circuits privately.<br \/>\nOpportunities to receive direct instruction from professionals are rare.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a privilege for Porsche owners.
