It was perfectly fine\u2014easy to drive and more than enough for daily use. Of course, it wasn\u2019t a sporty car, but it was never difficult to handle.  <\/p>\n<p>However, during a trip with my parents and kids over spring break, the rental car we used (a Toyota minivan) felt disconnected from the road. The suspension and handling were unreliable, and despite the engine noise, it struggled to pick up speed. On the highway, I found myself nervously sticking to the slow lane.  <\/p>\n<p>Coming back home and driving the Taycan after two weeks, I was moved within two seconds of starting the engine. Every time I accelerated, turned, or braked, waves of amazement hit me\u2014\u201cPorsche really is incredible\u201d\u2014to the point of trembling with excitement (laughs).  <\/p>\n<p>Compared to the cars I\u2019d been driving recently, <strong>the difference was honestly like that between a bicycle and a car.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32508\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/DSC02602-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/>  <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s often said that <strong>Porsche isn\u2019t a luxury car but a high-performance car<\/strong>, and that couldn\u2019t be truer. From the moment you grip the steering wheel, even before you start driving, it exudes a \u201cready to perform\u201d aura that instills confidence in the driver.  <\/p>\n<p>The smoothness, the road-hugging feel, and the solid suspension when you power on (since the Taycan is an EV) and start moving\u2014those sensations are unmatched.  <\/p>\n<p>I found myself thinking again, <strong>\u201cOnce you own a Porsche even just once, it\u2019s hard to switch to any other car.\u201d<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Taycans_charm_shines_brightest_when_you_dont_drive_it_every_day\"><\/span>The Taycan\u2019s charm shines brightest when you don\u2019t drive it every day.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Even when I was driving the Taycan daily, I thought, \u201cThis is a great car.\u201d But after a break, getting back in made me appreciate its greatness all over again.  <\/p>\n<p>Human perception can be unreliable.  <\/p>\n<p>Your judgment is always influenced by what you drove just before, so even the same car can feel very different depending on context. The huge gap between the Taycan and the cars I\u2019d recently driven made me rediscover just how good the Taycan really is.  <\/p>\n<p>The allure of Porsche, including the Taycan, is that it makes you want to keep driving forever. Its high performance in \u201caccelerating, cornering, and braking\u201d satisfies your craving for driving to the fullest.  <\/p>\n<p>The Taycan (and Porsche in general) is a special car that makes your heart dance while driving.  <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Priceless_moments_inside_the_Taycan\"><\/span>Priceless moments inside the Taycan.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I also realized something else.  <\/p>\n<p>While at my parents\u2019 place, I used trains to commute to work. Sitting on the train allowed me to get some work done, so the train rides weren\u2019t bad.  <\/p>\n<p>But having your own space and time inside a car is also incredibly important.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>When you\u2019re always surrounded by people and distractions, getting into your car creates a private space where you can reset your mind.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>I used to see a car purely as a means of transportation, but now I realize that the time alone inside the car is precious\u2014it helps me organize my thoughts and reflect on myself.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32513\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/DSC02592-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan Cross Turismo 4S interior\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"35000_km_driven_Looking_ahead_with_the_Taycan\"><\/span>35,000 km driven. Looking ahead with the Taycan.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>After experiencing 12 days without driving my familiar Taycan, I was reminded that <strong>\u201cthe value of your beloved car becomes clearer when you don\u2019t drive it for a while.\u201d<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>No matter how amazing a car is, if you drive it every day, you gradually stop noticing its greatness. But after a break, the thrill of getting back in your car is irreplaceable.  <\/p>\n<p>That moment when you think, <strong>\u201cThis car really is the best!\u201d<\/strong> is truly priceless.  <\/p>\n<p>Going forward, I want to intentionally take breaks from my car from time to time and enjoy a long-term relationship with it.
