As for the accelerator pedal, even with just a 1 or 2 millimeter press (just a slight push with my foot), it accelerates the moment I think \u201cI want to speed up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The smoothness of the ride is, I believe, unmatched among Porsches.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to describe, but it feels like it just \u201cglides\u201d forward\u2026 (excuse my limited vocabulary) with no friction, no resistance, just sliding effortlessly over the road. When I test drove it before, I thought it ran <strong>as if the N and S poles of magnets were attracting each other, sticking firmly to the road surface,<\/strong> and that\u2019s exactly the sensation.<\/p>\n<p>The contact with the road is phenomenal, and every time I drive, I\u2019m reminded that this is <strong>a true Porsche<\/strong> in terms of suspension and driving feel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/GFnzcUgbsAAQ9i--1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Having driven 500 km so far, I\u2019m highly satisfied in every scenario\u2014from short trips to medium-distance drives.<\/p>\n<p>Also, at our home parking spot, I charge every day using only a 100V household outlet, and even with normal use for work and daily shopping, the battery level has never dropped below 40%. If you\u2019re not driving long distances, it\u2019s surprisingly convenient.<\/p>\n<p>Well, long-distance driving would probably be challenging\u2026 (I plan to write a separate article about charging later.)<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Trying to Describe the Taycan\u2019s Driving<\/h3>\n<p>Of course, resale value isn\u2019t great, but <strong>if you can enjoy such a high level of driving satisfaction and comfort every day, that\u2019s totally fine by me.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I love the Panamera, and I originally started this blog because of my passion for the Panamera. I still think the Panamera\u2019s balance of driving and comfort is wonderful, but the Taycan\u2019s driving and comfort feel even a notch above the Panamera\u2019s. (There may be some differences depending on the grade.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Taycan\u2019s driving is close to a 911, its comfort surpasses the Panamera, and maybe after three to five more model changes, the Panamera might drive like this.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve written many times on this blog that the Panamera\u2019s driving and comfort are truly outstanding. It\u2019s a perfect 100-point car in my book, and that hasn\u2019t changed. But the Taycan is simply on another level.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No matter the road surface or speed, it maintains ride quality without compromise, while maximizing the joy of driving a Porsche.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When merging onto the highway, the acceleration is so stable and quiet that you hardly feel the speed. Even starting off in town, it has the smoothness and instant power of a bullet train, and <strong>there\u2019s absolutely no frustration like \u201cthis high-performance car can\u2019t show its power in the city.\u201d<\/strong> You can enjoy the Porsche character on any road.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding comfort, even my 10- and 7-year-old kids, who rarely sleep in cars, often fall asleep in the Taycan\u2019s rear seats.<\/p>\n<p>It feels as if every road has been freshly paved, running so smoothly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32447\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/GFVXWqFawAAgTIu-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Taycan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even on hard surfaces, the Taycan doesn\u2019t lose its flatness or comfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s an extremely satisfying car that keeps passenger comfort at an exceptionally high level for family trips, while still delivering the driver the thrill of a sports car.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Expectations for Porsche\u2019s EVs<\/h3>\n<p>Until now, I hadn\u2019t had a very positive impression of EVs due to concerns about charging infrastructure and convenience.<\/p>\n<p>Even owning one, I had strong negative views like <strong>\u201ccharging is a hassle\u201d and \u201clacks practicality.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, owning the Taycan has completely changed that image.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of driving enjoyment, comfortable ride, and always feeling that unmistakable Porsche essence, this car shattered my fixed ideas about EVs.<\/p>\n<p>Porsche stays true to its character and driving feel even with EVs, and on top of that, the unique driving sensation you can\u2019t get from gasoline cars is also fun.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m really looking forward to future EV models like the Macan and Boxster. (I definitely want to test drive them.)<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, it\u2019s a shame that the Taycan\u2019s excellent driving qualities haven\u2019t yet become widely recognized.
