It was wonderful.<br \/>\nHowever, it didn\u2019t quite fit my current daily needs as well as I had hoped.<\/p>\n<p>After driving it for 8,000 km while trying various adjustments, this was the conclusion I reached.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Every day, I drive my three children around\u2014to daycare drop-offs and pickups, hospital visits, and trips to the supermarket.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within a 5-kilometer radius from home, I often had to be mindful of parking issues, my kids getting car sick, and the risk of scraping the underside of the car.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it\u2019s not like I couldn\u2019t drive it regularly. For a sports car, it\u2019s truly impressive how usable it is for everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>Still, as someone who moves around daily with three kids, it was inevitable that some compromises would arise. Since last winter, I\u2019ve found myself driving the GLB more often. (This isn\u2019t a criticism of the Carrera T at all.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31917\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_3110-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Carrera T\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That said, highway drives were always a blast, and driving solo without the kids was pure bliss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI want to keep the Carrera T forever. I\u2019ll definitely regret selling it. But the reality of daily use\u2026\u201d<\/strong> These conflicting feelings swirled in my mind every day.<\/p>\n<p>However, I didn\u2019t have the financial luxury to buy the Carrera T casually\u2014I went all in (even cashing out some investments to cover the down payment, haha).<\/p>\n<p>Owning a Carrera T with monthly loan payments exceeding 200,000 yen, without driving it hard regularly, started to feel a bit unrealistic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cMaybe it\u2019s better to let it go. But I\u2019ll definitely regret it because it\u2019s so much fun.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After going around in this loop of indecision, and with advice from those around me saying, <strong>\u201cIf you\u2019re going to sell it, sooner is better,\u201d<\/strong> I decided to sell the Carrera T at the end of the year.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Taycan_4S_Cross_Turismo\"><\/span>The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>That said&#8230; I still wanted to own a Porsche. That feeling was strong.<\/p>\n<p>I realize my perspective might be a bit skewed now, but <strong>Porsche has become a major motivation for me to work hard and an important source of good fortune.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since ordering the Carrera T, my mindset toward earning has improved, I\u2019ve thrown myself into work, and my income has actually increased (though there\u2019s still room to grow).<\/p>\n<p>I also feel my career luck has improved, so to keep this momentum going, I want to keep owning a Porsche.<\/p>\n<p>So, what Porsche fits my current lifestyle best and is easy to drive?<\/p>\n<p>I asked my husband and others, and many suggested, <strong>\u201cWhy not a Taycan?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cGiven how you use your car, the Taycan suits you well. It drives amazingly, the kids can ride comfortably, and since you don\u2019t do long-distance trips often, you don\u2019t need to worry too much about charging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Taycan, huh&#8230; I know it\u2019s great, but <strong>I still love the Panamera more.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My love for Porsche started with the Panamera, and no matter what other cars I\u2019ve driven, I\u2019ve always thought, <strong>\u201cI want to drive the Panamera again.\u201d<\/strong> So,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">If it\u2019s a Panamera hybrid, I can do city driving on electric power alone, and it\u2019s very practical. Sure, it\u2019s a bit big, but there\u2019s no risk of scraping the bottom, the kids can ride comfortably, and for places like hospitals with tricky parking, I can just take the GLB. Panamera it is!<\/p>\n<p>I asked my dealer contact, Mr. H, to find a used Panamera hybrid, and he found a <strong>beautiful, well-maintained Panamera 4 e-Hybrid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My husband and I went to see it right away, but then&#8230; an unexpected twist.<\/p>\n<p>Right at the front of the dealership was an Ice Grey Metallic Taycan 4S Cross Turismo that I instantly fell in love with\u2014it completely stole my heart in a moment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32346\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Snapseed-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4S Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32351\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/IMG_9930-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Taycan 4S Cross Turismo\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even after seeing the Panamera inside, I couldn\u2019t forget the Taycan displayed out front. After much thought, I ended up buying the Taycan.<\/p>\n<p>It was totally unexpected.<\/p>\n<p>This also means my monthly loan payments will be much lower than with the Carrera T (though resale value might not be as good), and now the whole family can ride comfortably.<\/p>\n<p>When my kids sat in the back seat of the Taycan, they were thrilled, saying, <strong>\u201cThis is the best car we\u2019ve ever ridden in!
