My husband\u2019s company was gaining traction, and he was exploring what lay ahead. Back then, I never imagined that both of us would start new companies again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Life really is unpredictable.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That said, the more I focus on work, the more my kids sweetly cling to me with \u201cMom, I can\u2019t do it myself!\u201d or \u201cMom, I\u2019m scared to walk home alone from school\u2014please come pick me up!\u201d\u2014and it all seems to increase in perfect proportion. So these days, even 24 hours in a day just isn\u2019t enough.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31816\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_2962-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Living_a_Life_of_Setting_and_Achieving_Goals\"><\/span>Living a Life of Setting and Achieving Goals<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>I\u2019m in my late 30s, and my husband is in his late 40s.<\/strong> At this age, it surprises some people that we\u2019re both starting new companies and taking on new challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWait, you started a company? Why!?\u201d (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an age when many start thinking, <strong>\u201cMaybe it\u2019s time to slow down a bit,\u201d<\/strong> so starting from zero again at this stage is pretty rare.<\/p>\n<p>Especially for my husband,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">&#8211; In 2015, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by buying a Porsche (981 Boxster GTS) he\u2019d wanted since elementary school.<br \/>&#8211; Although he finally got the Porsche, he was so busy with work he couldn\u2019t drive it much, so he decided to create a system that would allow him to step away from day-to-day operations and <strong>make time to actually drive his Porsche.<\/strong><br \/>&#8211; Over several years, he stepped back from the front lines and transitioned from president to chairman.<br \/>&#8211; Even after gaining the freedom to drive his Porsche on weekdays, he started a new business and ended up busy going to the office or meetings almost every day.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the story (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Watching him, I feel that he loves <strong>building something from scratch in the IT field he\u2019s passionate about<\/strong> just as much as he loves driving his Porsche.<\/p>\n<p>Still, he\u2019s not throwing everything away to start over; rather, he\u2019s chosen to challenge himself <strong>while maintaining a stable lifestyle<\/strong>, and I\u2019m really grateful for that.<\/p>\n<p>As for me, I\u2019ve never been one to sit still.<\/p>\n<p>In my mid-20s, the company I started didn\u2019t go well, and I neglected parenting, feeling guilty. After having my second daughter, I became a full-time housewife for a while.<\/p>\n<p>Every morning, I\u2019d go shopping, pick up my eldest daughter from kindergarten, and then take the kids to the park. After years of being consumed by work, this new lifestyle was refreshing and enjoyable\u2014but after about five months, I started thinking, <strong>\u201cI\u2019m bored\u2026 I want to do something\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At that time, I was getting hooked on the Panamera, and my husband said, <strong>\u201cIf you love the Panamera so much, why don\u2019t you start a blog?\u201d<\/strong> That one comment sparked the creation of \u201cWelcome Home, PORSCHE.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31817\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_2934-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few months later, I decided, <strong>\u201cIf I\u2019m going to do this, I want it to be Japan\u2019s best Porsche blog,\u201d<\/strong> and my husband and I started running it together. Thanks to that, it has become the most visited personal car blog in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Also, I achieved my initial goal of <strong>buying a Porsche with my own money.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having achieved many goals, I probably should slow down a bit\u2026 but sadly (laughs), I want new goals. For me, that means focusing on work now. This time, I\u2019ve set a big goal I never imagined before and publicly declared it, so I feel like <strong>\u201cI can\u2019t quit until I clear this\u2026\u201d<\/strong>\u2014kind of tying my own hands (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, both my husband and I are happily pushing forward, growing our businesses every day.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Porsche_You_Can_Enjoy_Every_Day\"><\/span>A Porsche You Can Enjoy Every Day<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the midst of all this, I\u2019ve come to truly appreciate the joy of having a Porsche in daily life.<\/p>\n<p>My husband often goes on short tours or drives the Royu Driveway, but I rarely get the chance to drive. It\u2019s really just a matter of prioritizing <strong>\u201cgetting behind the wheel,\u201d<\/strong> but right now, work and parenting take precedence, so I don\u2019t get out for drives as much as I\u2019d like.<\/p>\n<p>That said, my beloved Carrera T is an <strong>all-around car that\u2019s fun no matter what kind of road I\u2019m on.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If a car only feels fun on winding roads or at high speeds, city driving can be stressful. But <strong>the Carrera T is easy and enjoyable to drive even in stop-and-go city traffic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It sounds great even at low speeds, and the manual transmission isn\u2019t tricky at all\u2014I don\u2019t have to worry about stalling when starting off. (Our previous GT3 991.2 sometimes stalled if I wasn\u2019t careful.)<\/p>\n<p>The short-throw shifter is easy to operate, and <strong>it\u2019s relaxing and fun cruising in the highway lane, plus accelerating onto the highway is a blast.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lately, I\u2019ve been working late sometimes, but when I see the Carrera T parked, no matter how tired I am, I get pumped up thinking, <strong>\u201cAlright! Time to go home!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31822\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/IMG_2620-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Porsche 911 Carrera T, which brings joy to everyday city driving and ordinary moments, fits perfectly with my current lifestyle. I\u2019m sure what we want from a car changes with life\u2019s seasons, but right now, the Carrera T suits me perfectly. (Though it almost feels too good for me!)<\/p>\n<p>By the way, I recently saw the same Carrera T model listed on a used car site for 27 million yen.<\/p>\n<p>For a moment, my eyes turned into yen signs thinking, <strong>\u201cI could make a killing if I sold it now\u2026\u201d<\/strong> (laughs) but no way\u2014I\u2019m definitely not selling this Carrera T.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m grateful for the miracle of finding such a fun Porsche that fits me so well, and I want to keep enjoying a Porsche life that adds color to my busy everyday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s Been a While Since My Last Blog Recently, both my husband and I have been extremely busy with work, and I haven\u2019t had much time to write blog posts.
