It\u2019s just too much fun!&#8221;<\/strong> He spoke about its joy as if it were the delivery day all over again, so I decided to take it for a spin myself after a long break.<\/p>\n<p>So, this time I\u2019d like to share my impressions from driving the Boxster again after a while.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_The_Stunning_Engine_Sound\"><\/span>1. The Stunning Engine Sound<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The engine sound of the 981 Boxster GTS is simply magnificent. When switching to Sport Plus mode, <strong>the sound rising from the engine is like a musical instrument.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When accelerating onto the highway, the sound becomes even more powerful and rich. <strong>Beyond a musical instrument, it\u2019s like a beast roaring (laughs).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The whole car is enveloped in that resonance.<\/p>\n<p>This thrilling engine sound is the main reason my husband can\u2019t let go of the 981 Boxster GTS, and I\u2019m sure it will be the biggest appeal for anyone considering getting one in the future.<\/p>\n<p>No matter how many times you experience it, the freshness and comfort of that sound stand out\u2014it truly feels like the soul of the Boxster.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31809\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/F4-uM32b0AAScT2.jpeg\" alt=\"Boxster GTS\" width=\"1199\" height=\"725\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Smooth_Ride_Comfort\"><\/span>2. Smooth Ride Comfort<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The moment you sit in the Boxster\u2019s driver seat, you feel <strong>a solid connection to the road, yet the ride is soft and smooth.<\/strong> The Boxster absorbs road imperfections skillfully, but its softness isn\u2019t too loose\u2014it strikes just the right balance.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the Carrera T gives you <strong>an immediate sense of firmness and sure-footedness just by sitting down, and the confidence while driving might be higher in the Carrera T.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, both cars have their own unique charm in ride comfort, each offering a distinct interpretation of what \u201ccomfortable\u201d means.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Exquisite_Handling\"><\/span>3. Exquisite Handling<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Unlike the precise, incisive handling of the Carrera T (992), the Boxster\u2019s handling has a bit of looseness, and <strong>that looseness makes it feel exquisitely pleasant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Especially on gentle curves along regular roads, you can drive smoothly and rhythmically.<\/p>\n<p>The connection to the road is solid and stable, but the handling isn\u2019t overly sharp or too soft to cause unease. That balance is very comfortable.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Surprisingly_Easy_Manual_Clutch_Operation\"><\/span>4. Surprisingly Easy Manual Clutch Operation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>When I was still getting used to manual driving, the clutch felt heavy, but this time it felt like a completely different experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The clutch is deep and heavy, but that actually makes it easier to modulate perfectly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can clearly feel where the clutch engages.<\/p>\n<p>On city streets, there was almost no shift shock. (Though during highway merges and acceleration, there was a slight jerk.)<\/p>\n<p>One thing though, <strong>the Boxster\u2019s shift lever is longer than the Carrera T\u2019s, so at first it felt a bit awkward.<\/strong> Generally, a shorter manual shift lever makes for quicker, easier operation.<\/p>\n<p>That said, this is only when compared to the Carrera T\u2014if you only drive the Boxster, you probably won\u2019t notice any awkwardness.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Looking_Forward_to_a_Long_Drive_in_the_Boxster\"><\/span>Looking Forward to a Long Drive in the Boxster<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>After several months away, I was reminded of the Boxster\u2019s soft, smooth ride and its incredible engine sound that you can enjoy over and over again.
