Our 981 Boxster GTS<\/h3>\n

Our 981 Boxster GTS was delivered in November 2015. This time, I\u2019d like to introduce its interior. The Boxster GTS my husband purchased is a \u201c2015 model, LHD steering wheel, MT transmission, black interior (all leather)\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The GTS comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package, Sports Exhaust System, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) finished in black. The additional options we chose are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Alcantara Package, Deleted…?<\/h3>\n

One curious thing about the options is the \u201cdeliberate removal of the Alcantara package.\u201d<\/strong> Why remove it when it\u2019s already included? When I asked, \u201cIsn\u2019t the Alcantara package popular because everyone usually opts for it?\u201d my husband said,<\/p>\n

Yeah, that\u2019s true, but I don\u2019t really like it. Somehow the seats look like those of a street racer, and also when we go on long drives, the seats don\u2019t let me slide, so I can\u2019t easily adjust my posture, which I don\u2019t like.<\/p>\n

Apparently, if you delete the Alcantara package, the \u201cGTS\u201d logo on the seat headrests also disappears.<\/strong> Oh no (*_*)!! I think having \u201cGTS\u201d written in white on the seats looks pretty cool…<\/p>\n

Still, removing the Alcantara package that\u2019s already included shows my husband\u2019s unique taste (lol). So, I took some photos of the interior and will introduce them one by one.<\/p>\n

\u2460 Seat Photos and Description<\/h3>\n

Since we deleted the Alcantara package, the Boxster GTS seats don\u2019t have the logo on the headrests and are simple black leather. We have two small kids, and sometimes our eldest daughter rides in the passenger seat, so considering potential dirt, black was definitely the right choice.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The seats aren\u2019t overly sporty but are comfortable and fit the body well, making driving easier. Also, as my husband said, since they\u2019re not Alcantara, it\u2019s easier to adjust your posture while driving. The seat adjustment lever is a simple one like this. (Only the seatback adjustment is electric)<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Also, the sun visor looks like this. My husband attached a mesh cover to hold parking tickets on this visor. (He said that although there are many large sun visor covers sold at Autobacs, it\u2019s hard to find one that fits the Boxster.)<\/p>\n

The area around the top center (rearview mirror) is designed simply like this.<\/p>\n

\u2461 Center Console Photos and Description<\/h3>\n

Regarding the center console, since this Boxster is a manual, it naturally has a shift lever. At first, it was stiff, but after driving 30,000 km, the shift lever has become much more familiar and easier to use.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

At the top of the center console are buttons for the air conditioning and seat heaters,<\/p>\n

\"\"and below the shift lever are buttons for sport mode and idle stop.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Opening the part of the center console that holds the cigarette lighter socket looks like this.<\/p>\n

The central storage space,<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

opens to about this much.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

So shallow! It hardly fits anything!\u30fd(\uff9f\u0414\uff9f )\uff89<\/span><\/p>\n

…I guess all sports cars are like this.<\/p>\n

The steering wheel is a 3-spoke sports steering wheel.

There\u2019s a double line marker at the top of the steering wheel.<\/p>\n

\"\"Since I\u2019m used to the Panamera\u2019s navigation system, this one looks kind of small.<\/p>\n
