Comparison Test Drive Vol.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"style3a\">Finally, the Panamera Sport Turismo.<\/h3>\n<p>About a month ago, I wrote an article about my brother-in-law buying a Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/2018\/06\/10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>\u2192Reference article: Yesterday, the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo arrived at our home!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The other day, my husband borrowed that Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo and drove it home.<\/p>\n<p>Since we had the chance, I decided to do a test drive comparison between our Panamera Turbo and my brother-in-law\u2019s Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. In this article, <strong>I\u2019d like to share the differences I personally felt between the two cars.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That day, after dropping off our daughters at kindergarten and nursery school in the morning, we headed to the Royu Driveway with both the Panamera and the Panamera Sport Turismo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3721 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_6999-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">The differences go beyond just looks<\/h3>\n<p>Just after passing through the toll booth on the Royu Driveway, my husband and I switched drivers, and I got to drive the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo up to the observatory. As an option, the center console\u2019s small storage compartment bears the inscription &#8220;<strong>Panamera turbo<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3724 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/DSC_0724-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had thought, \u201cThe Sport Turismo is just a Panamera with a different look,\u201d but after driving it, I was surprised. <strong>The ride quality of the Panamera Turbo and the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo was completely different.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My test drive lasted only about 10 minutes, but even in that short time, I could clearly feel the differences. Let me summarize the four main differences I noticed and my overall evaluation.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Differences \u2460\u2013\u2462<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2460 Lively ride<\/h4>\n<p>The Sport Turismo felt <strong>very light and smooth when pressing the accelerator<\/strong>. The Panamera Turbo felt heavier and more massive. The handling was more responsive, almost as if the Panamera had shrunk in size.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3728 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/DSC_0725-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2461 Firmer suspension<\/h4>\n<p>Our Panamera Turbo and the Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo have the same wheels and tires, and both feature air suspension, but <strong>the Sport Turismo\u2019s suspension felt noticeably firmer.<\/strong> The Sport Turismo\u2019s owner prefers slightly lower tire pressure, so if the pressure were set to the standard value, the suspension might feel even stiffer.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to my brother-in-law, the Macan Turbo he previously owned had a smoother ride.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3727 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/DSC_0730-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2462 Quieter sound<\/h4>\n<p>Overall, the Sport Turismo was quieter. The test car didn\u2019t have the optional sport exhaust installed yet, but it\u2019s planned for the future, so <strong>I didn\u2019t notice much difference in sound between Normal mode and Sport or Sport Plus modes.<\/strong> I thought it might be because the windows were closed, so I opened them, but still didn\u2019t notice a significant difference.<\/p>\n<p>Our Panamera Turbo has the sport exhaust option, and <strong>if you want to fully enjoy the V8 engine sound, the sport exhaust is probably a must-have option.<\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/panameravspanamerasportsturismo\/2\/\">\u2192Next page: From a woman\u2019s perspective, which is better: Panamera or Sport Turismo?<\/a><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Difference \u2463 I noticed<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2463 Less noticeable dual personality<\/h4>\n<p>Motor journalist Goro Okazaki once said about the Panamera Turbo that it has <strong>&#8220;a Jekyll and Hyde driving character, with an incredible transformation.&#8221;<\/strong> I completely agree. It\u2019s luxurious, but once you switch to Sport Plus mode, both the sound and driving change dramatically, letting you enjoy both sides.<\/p>\n<p>With the Sport Turismo, the suspension is already firm and sporty from the start, so even when switching to Sport or Sport Plus modes, the transformation isn\u2019t as noticeable.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-3735 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_7019-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Overall evaluation from a woman\u2019s perspective?<\/h3>\n<p>From a woman\u2019s point of view (as a wife and mother), <strong>I think the Panamera Sport Turismo is the better choice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Its handling is more responsive, and it doesn\u2019t feel as bulky, making it easier to drive. Also, the Sport Turismo can seat three in the back and has a larger trunk. <strong>Considering carrying kids or shopping with large loads, the Sport Turismo is more practical for everyday use.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That said, it comes down to personal preference. If you like the rear design closer to the 911 or prioritize a luxurious feel, the regular Panamera might suit you better.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I like the sleek, flowing rear design reminiscent of the 911 and the commanding presence of the Panamera, and since four seats are enough for me, I prefer the regular Panamera over the Sport Turismo.<\/p>\n<p>This time, I\u2019ve shared my impressions, but my husband plans to write a test drive review as well, so I\u2019ll post that article later.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Finally, the Panamera Sport Turismo.
