So, just before the Obon holidays in August, I took it to the dealer for an oil and filter change.<\/p>\n<p>My husband had told me in advance,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Make sure to get the filter changed along with the oil. Even if the oil is clean, it\u2019s pointless if the filter is dirty. You don\u2019t have to change it every time, but after the break-in period, it\u2019s better to replace the filter just in case.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what he said.<\/p>\n<p>However, I forgot about that and when I booked the appointment, I only told our contact, Mr. H, \u201c<strong>Please do the oil change and so on<\/strong>.\u201d He replied that it would be done in an hour and a half.<\/p>\n<p>When I told my husband, \u201c<strong>The oil change appointment is all set<\/strong>,\u201d he asked,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Did you ask them to change the filter? For the 992, filter replacement usually takes more than a day, you know?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s right\u2014when we replaced the filter on our 992 Cabriolet before, it was the same.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, the 992\u2019s oil filter is accessed by removing the coolant reservoir cap, and the filter can\u2019t be replaced until the coolant has cooled down.<\/p>\n<p>I hurriedly contacted Mr. H, and as expected, <strong>filter replacement is a full-day job<\/strong>, so we had to leave the Carrera T at the dealer for a day.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding oil changes after the break-in period, neither the 911\u2019s manual nor the dealer recommended it as necessary (you can just change it at 10,000km), but somehow I felt better having it done at this timing, so I went ahead with it.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, this time the cost was covered by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.porsche.co.jp\/dealers\/kobe\/news\/detail?shopid=31&amp;topicid=3614\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan (PSMP)<\/a> that we signed up for at purchase. I was prepared to pay just for the oil change, but since the filter was also replaced, it was done free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>We didn\u2019t change the transmission or differential oil. (My husband said those can wait for inspections every few years.)<\/p>\n<p>Actually, after the oil change, Mr. H drove the Carrera T back to our home and said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">Wow, this is amazing. It\u2019s so nimble, the manual transmission is easy to operate, it\u2019s fast, and the handling is super sharp and fun\u2026 <strong>If you had this as a demo car, everyone would want one, wouldn\u2019t they!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was really happy to hear that (laughs).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31746\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/IMG_2684-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 Carrera T\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Carrera_T_Is_Simply_the_Best\"><\/span>Carrera T Is Simply the Best!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With the break-in period and oil &#038; filter change done, the Carrera T felt somehow even more lively after the oil change\u2026 or maybe it was just my imagination (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>In any case, <strong>the Carrera T is simply the best.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Above all, the <strong>\u201cnimbleness,\u201d \u201chandling,\u201d and \u201cengine sound\u201d<\/strong> are fantastic.<\/p>\n<p>While the 992 has a solid feel, the lightweight Carrera T drives very nimbly. It glides along effortlessly with no heaviness at all. Plus, there\u2019s almost no turbo lag, so acceleration and takeoff feel completely natural and very satisfying.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding handling, <strong>adding the optional rear-axle steering might be a big factor<\/strong>, but even if it\u2019s not quite GT3 level, it turns incredibly well.<\/p>\n<p>It just keeps going, keeps going\u2014how far can it turn!?\u2014it\u2019s that sharp (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Because of that, I find myself driving seriously\u2026 When I drive the 981 Boxster GTS, I smile because the engine sound is so pleasant, but with the Carrera T, I\u2019m stone-faced, silent, and just focused on driving.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-31745\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/IMG_2680-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 Carrera T\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The engine sound has also gotten louder (it seems the current 992 doesn\u2019t have a GPF), and above 4,000 rpm, the sound is clearer and richer, which feels really good.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, I took it for a drive on the Royu Driveway after a long time, and it was truly exhilarating.<\/p>\n<p>However\u2026 until now, I had the goal of \u201c<strong>finish the break-in quickly! First reach 3,000km!<\/strong>\u201d so I was consciously driving quite a bit, but now I\u2019m not sure what goal to set next\u2026 I feel a bit lost.<\/p>\n<p>When I told my husband this, he said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">No, you don\u2019t have to think so seriously about goals. Just enjoy it. Drive various roads happily. It\u2019s not that complicated, you know? lol<\/p>\n<p>But I don\u2019t really have the mindset to enjoy hobbies.
