Fortunately, my household already has several Porsches owned by my husband, so I could have driven one every day if I wanted. Because of that, if it was just about the desire to drive or ride a Porsche<\/strong>, there was absolutely no need for me to buy one in my own name.<\/p>\n My husband even asked me several times, \u201c\u2026why on earth are you buying one yourself? lol<\/strong>\u201d and since I was satisfied with my previous car, a Swift Sport, the situation was such that there was no real need for me to buy a new Porsche myself<\/strong>.<\/p>\n So why did I buy it?<\/p>\n It\u2019s because I wanted to experience the world and the feelings that come from buying a Porsche myself.<\/p>\n I believe that whether someone else pays for something or you pay with your own money, the experience you gain from it changes significantly.<\/p>\n Of course, there are things you can experience without buying yourself, but there are many things you can only truly feel by owning it yourself.<\/p>\n Hearing from many Porsche owners around me about how buying their Porsche themselves changed their lives, made them want to earn more, made commuting enjoyable, and raised their goals even higher<\/strong>, I wanted to experience that world too.<\/p>\n I genuinely wanted to know what kind of world that is, what it means to have a richer life, what it feels like to have a stronger desire to earn and actually be able to earn more<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Some might say spending a large amount of money just to see that world is extravagant or wasteful, and opinions will vary. But this is the biggest reason why I bought my Porsche.<\/p>\n So, how was it actually after buying it? It\u2019s only been about a month and a half since the purchase, so there haven\u2019t been any major life changes yet, but at least I\u2019ve noticed three big shifts in my mindset.<\/p>\n The first thing I felt was that my money limiter was released.<\/strong><\/p>\n Until now, I had never made a purchase anywhere near 20 million yen (about $150,000). Naturally, I\u2019ve never been very materialistic\u2014I tend to use shoes, wallets, bags, and coats until they wear out, and the most expensive item I\u2019d bought myself before was probably around 30,000 yen (about $220) (lol).<\/p>\n For someone like me to make a 20 million yen purchase was a shocking experience. I found myself thinking things like \u201cWhat about resale value? Is the residual value loan really set that low? Should I save more for a bigger down payment to reduce monthly payments?\u201d<\/strong> and so on.<\/p>\n But once the car was delivered and I actually drove it, something strange happened\u2014I thought, \u201cHuh? Why was I so scared when I bought my 2 million yen Swift Sport before?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n Even though my income hasn\u2019t changed drastically since then, once you make a big purchase, it feels like a limiter is lifted\u2026 I realized I don\u2019t have to be so afraid.<\/p>\n That said, I still have a loan repayment of over 200,000 yen per month, so I absolutely can\u2019t waste money, and since there\u2019s nothing else I particularly want, I haven\u2019t become reckless with spending\u2026<\/p>\n But I\u2019ve come to believe that if there\u2019s something you really want, it\u2019s okay to go ahead and buy it even if it\u2019s expensive.<\/strong><\/p>\n That said, with the Carrera T I bought this time, I have some peace of mind because it\u2019s expected that its value won\u2019t drop drastically even if I sell it in a few years. But if it were a model with poor resale value, I\u2019d still be scared to buy it.<\/p>\n If I can buy without worrying about resale, maybe I can reach an even higher level.<\/strong><\/p>\n Well, that\u2019s probably still a ways off lol.<\/p>\n The second change I noticed is that conversations with other Porsche owners have become more enjoyable.<\/strong> I\u2019ve started to feel like I can talk on the same level (though since many are senior enthusiasts, I\u2019m not completely sure I\u2019m fully on their level yet).<\/p>\n Before, I used to drive my husband\u2019s Porsches, so when asked about detailed specs, I often didn\u2019t know or couldn\u2019t answer well, and conversations rarely got deeper.<\/p>\n But this time, since I chose all the specs myself, when someone says, \u201cThe monotone design is wonderful!\u201d<\/strong>, I can reply, \u201cYes! I matched it with Crayon and black\u2026\u201d and talk about it in detail,<\/p>\n or when asked, \u201cHas the engine changed since delivery?\u201d I can answer with real experience, \u201cIt really changed after about 300 km!\u201d<\/p>\n I\u2019m rediscovering the joy of talking about my own car. And wow, having my own Porsche praised feels so wonderful.<\/p>\n The third change is that I\u2019ve become more mindful about keeping the car clean.<\/strong> When I used to drive my husband\u2019s Porsches (Panamera and Cayenne), I didn\u2019t worry much about dirt (sorry), but with my own car, it\u2019s different.<\/p>\n Whenever I spot even a little dirt, I immediately wipe it off. Even when I go to McDonald\u2019s with the kids to buy burgers, I say, \u201cWait until we get home!\u201d<\/strong> and put the burgers in the trunk so the car doesn\u2019t get any smell (lol).<\/p>\n That said, there\u2019s a slight scratch on the center console that\u2019s bothering me right now\u2026<\/p>\n Of course, since I had declared on this blog that I would buy a Porsche myself, I felt a strong pressure of \u201cIf I don\u2019t achieve this goal, I\u2019ll be a liar\u2026\u201d<\/strong> (serious lol).<\/p>\n But now, having bought it myself and being able to drive it to my heart\u2019s content every day is truly enjoyable. The break-in period isn\u2019t over yet, but I\u2019m looking forward to seeing how the Carrera T develops.<\/p>\n I\u2019m really glad I bought it.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been about a month and 10 days since delivery, and I\u2019ve already driven over 1,500 km.
