(Its signature color at the time was Racing Yellow.)<\/p>\n<p>Its looks completely won me over, and I fell in love with the idea of driving one with a manual transmission.<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cThat looks so good! They don\u2019t offer the manual in Japan (it wasn\u2019t available here at the time), but I\u2019d love to own a Carrera T someday! <strong>Maybe I could even buy one through an importer!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I used to say things like that to my husband all the time.<\/p>\n<p>But a Carrera T still felt like a car from another world. Eventually, I even forgot I\u2019d ever said I wanted one\u2026<\/p>\n<p>So I never imagined that, just a few years later, the timing would work out and I\u2019d actually be able to buy one.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe my subconscious had been set on a Carrera T all along. (\u7b11)<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Delivery_Date_Is_Finally_in_Sight\"><\/span>The Delivery Date Is Finally in Sight!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Production of my Carrera T was completed in mid-February.<\/p>\n<p>That was sooner than I\u2019d expected, but after that, the status in My Porsche didn\u2019t seem to change at all\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIs it there yet? Is it there yet? How long is it going to stay in a German port?\u201d<\/strong> I checked every day, growing more impatient. About a month later, the status finally changed: the ship had set sail.<\/p>\n<p>Even then, the My Porsche updates were slow to come. Around April 10, the ship was still near Yemen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31117\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IMG_1611.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"749\" height=\"1109\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then I heard from H, my contact at the dealership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>The Carrera T is making good progress and is now off the coast of Malaysia. At this rate, it should reach the dealership around mid-May, with delivery expected toward the end of the month.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_31119-2\" style=\"width: 760px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31119-2\" class=\"wp-image-31119 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/IMG_1610.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"1034\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-31119-2\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">When I checked yesterday, it had made it as far as the waters near Kagoshima!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Wow\u2014it\u2019s finally happening! It\u2019s made it this far\u2026!<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d thought there might be delays even after it reached Japan, and that delivery could slip to sometime in the summer. But now there\u2019s finally a delivery window, and my dream is starting to feel real. (Even if I still haven\u2019t quite taken it in\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>That said, I still haven\u2019t sold my current car, a Suzuki Swift Sport, so I need to get that moving quickly. I also have paperwork to sort out\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Work has me flat out every day, too, but I need to make sure I\u2019m ready to welcome the Carrera T!<\/p>\n<p>And if I enter the lottery for the Porsche Festival in June and get lucky, it would be a perfect opportunity to give the Carrera T its first break-in miles. <strong>Plus, if any readers are there, I might even be able to give you a low-key first look.<\/strong> That would be lovely.<\/p>\n<p>First, though, I need to get everything ready without missing a thing.
