Now that the status has finally changed to production started, I\u2019m excited to report it here.<\/p>\n<p>The Carrera T is a pure sports car that achieves lightweight and simplicity by stripping away various elements.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30729\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/CZ22V23OX0010-1280x722-1.jpeg\" alt=\"911 Carrera T\" width=\"1280\" height=\"722\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the Carrera T was revived in 2017 with the 991 model, Porsche\u2019s newsroom introduced it under the title \u201c<strong>Less is more<\/strong>,\u201d which left a strong impression\u2014it\u2019s truly a genuine 911.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, for the Porsche I ordered, the \u201cMy Porsche\u201d service called \u201cTrack your Dream\u201d lets me check the current status (from production to delivery) step by step.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s info like \u201c<strong>only Porsches made in Zuffenhausen are eligible so far<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>only 911 and 718 models<\/strong>,\u201d but I wonder if the eligible models will gradually increase?<\/p>\n<p>Regarding my Carrera T, I kept checking every day, wondering \u201cWhat\u2019s the status now?\u201d and \u201cHas production started?\u201d (even though nothing changes daily), and finally, the status changed to production started!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30720\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Screenshot-2023-02-03-19.42.19-1280x713.jpg\" alt=\"My Porsche\" width=\"1280\" height=\"713\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30722\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Screenshot-2023-02-03-19.50.50-1280x743.jpg\" alt=\"My Porsche\" width=\"1280\" height=\"743\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This definitely lifts my spirits\u2026!<\/p>\n<p>So far, everything is progressing according to the schedule shown when I first accessed My Porsche, but since you never know what might happen, I\u2019m going to wait patiently without expecting everything to go perfectly on schedule.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Specifications_of_the_Porsche_911_Carrera_T\"><\/span>Specifications of the Porsche 911 Carrera T<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>My husband said about this Carrera T, <\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">\u201cThe charm of the Carrera T is that you can add options beyond the base Carrera, even more than the S, but this time the options you can choose are quite limited, so it\u2019s a tough call\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, for this Carrera T, PDCC and PCCB are not available, and there are only three wheel options. The chassis is set to PASM sports suspension only.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, here are the specs I chose:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Transmission is a 7-speed manual, left-hand drive<br \/>\nI had always thought \u201c992\u2019s PDK is smart, so I\u2019ll go with PDK,\u201d but for the Carrera T, I decided without hesitation that left-hand drive manual is the way to go.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Interior color: Carrera T Interior Package (contrast color: Straight Grey)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Seats: Adaptive Sports Seats (18-way electric adjustment) with memory package<br \/>\nSince it\u2019s a hassle to adjust the seats every time, I wanted one with a memory function.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Rear seats<br \/>\nSince I often drive with my three kids, although the Carrera T is basically a 2-seater, a 4-seater was a must.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sports Design Package:<br \/>\nOur current 911 Cabriolet also has the Sports Design Package, and I really like that vibe, so I chose it too.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30731\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/iris-1-1280x720.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 Carrera T\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Side window trim in black:<br \/>\nSince the body color is Crayon, I thought black would match well, so I chose it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Front axle lift system:<br \/>\nThe PASM sports chassis is a bit low, and considering the places we go (many supermarkets and convenience stores with steep curbs), I decided to add the lift.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Rear axle steering:<br \/>\nI thought I didn\u2019t really need this since I\u2019m not going to be aggressively driving on mountain roads or the Royu Driveway, but I figured adding rear axle steering to the lightweight Carrera T might make driving a lot more fun\u2026! So I went for it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Interior package (painted same color as exterior):<br \/>\nThis is a free option and adds a nice accent to the almost all-black interior, so I added it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/iris-1280x720.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 Carrera T\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other features include 20\/21-inch Carrera S wheels (high-gloss titanium grey), LED headlights, Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS Plus) with lane change assist, heated GT sports steering wheel (leather), storage package, and white speedometer panel.<\/p>\n<p>So, how much did this all cost\u2026?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30727\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Screenshot-2023-02-03-20.49.52.png\" alt=\"911 Carrera T\" width=\"1174\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Wow, almost 20 million yen!!!!<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>I want this too, and that, oh, if I add this, I might as well add that too\u2026\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 the options piled up like a snowball, resulting in this price (LOL).<\/p>\n<p>But since I\u2019m satisfied with the specs (only one thing I\u2019m curious about is how stiff the sports chassis really is\u2026), now it\u2019s just a matter of working hard to earn and maintain it properly.<\/p>\n<p>I have a rough idea of the delivery timing now, and I\u2019ll share updates on the blog as they come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Porsche 911 Carrera T As I wrote in the title, the very first Porsche I contracted for myself is the Porsche 911 Carrera T (992.1).
