But after giving it some thought, it started to seem not entirely off, so I wrote a blog post about it a while back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/2017\/06\/24\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2192\u3010Reference article\u3011The surprising connection between car preferences and the type of woman a man likes.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>That post gradually gained readers and eventually became popular. So recently, I came across a video online where <strong>Shinsuke Shimada shares his personal theory about the relationship between cars and women<\/strong>, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"You_Can_Tell_a_Mans_%E2%97%8F%E2%97%8F_by_Looking_at_His_Car\"><\/span>You Can Tell a Man\u2019s \u25cf\u25cf by Looking at His Car<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The video was from a few years ago, aired on Nippon TV\u2019s <strong>&#8220;Jinsei ga Kawaru 1-punkan no Fukai Hanashi&#8221; (One Minute Deep Stories That Change Your Life)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, the big-name comedians who appeared as guests looked quite young back then, which really made me feel how much time has passed.<\/p>\n<p>The clip only shows Shimada\u2019s comments about cars, so the full context is missing, but he starts by presenting his theory:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">If you look at a man\u2019s car, you can tell his habits (heki) with women.<\/p>\n<p>Watching it, I thought, &#8220;This is just like what my husband has been saying all along. Rather than \u2018habits with women,\u2019 it\u2019s more like you can tell a man\u2019s <strong>preferred type of woman<\/strong> or how he treats and interacts with his girlfriend or wife.\u201d Then Shimada said:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cIf a guy drives one car for a long time and carefully maintains it, that means he values one woman. If he has a main car but also wants a sports car, that means he wants another woman besides his wife.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The host and guests nodded in agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, <strong>a man who cherishes one car for a long time gives the impression of someone who also cherishes his wife or girlfriend.<\/strong> Conversely, if a man owns multiple cars, and you say he frequently changes girlfriends, it kind of makes sense&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Shimada continued:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cTake me, for example\u2014I don\u2019t know much about cars. I just want a car that looks cool. I focus only on the exterior, not the inside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comedians nodded in understanding. Then Shimada asked one of them, \u201cWhat kind of car do you want to drive in the future?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comedian replied, \u201cWell, I\u2019m not picky. I\u2019m fine with just renting cars.\u201d Understandable (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this doesn\u2019t apply to everyone, but broadly speaking, it seems to hit the mark. Similar things are said about men who frequently change watches, but there seems to be a lot in common between \u201ccars, watches, and relationships with women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Digging further, I found another video from a different show where Shimada explains the <strong>\u201crelationship between cars and women\u201d<\/strong> in more detail.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Shimadas_Car_Theory_in_Another_Video\"><\/span>Shimada\u2019s Car Theory in Another Video<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In that video, Shimada shared this theory:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">For men, <strong>\u201ca car equals a girl.\u201d<\/strong> So, <strong>men who own many cars want many girls.<\/strong> Those who want sports cars or Ferraris want to date girls who look cool even if they\u2019re hard to handle. They don\u2019t care about what\u2019s inside. And <strong>men who drive one car for 5 or 10 years and carefully maintain it are men who truly love one woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then he gave some dating advice to the women watching:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">So, ladies, <strong>you should judge a man by how he treats his car.<\/strong> How does he handle it? If you ask, \u201cWhat car is this? How many cc?\u201d and he doesn\u2019t know anything about it, or if you ask, \u201cWhat kind of engine does it have?\u201d and he can\u2019t answer, he\u2019s a guy who only cares about looks. If he leaves washing the car to someone else, he\u2019s a guy who doesn\u2019t put any love into it. If he wants to own many cars, doesn\u2019t care about cc, and just wants everyone to say, \u201cWow, that\u2019s so cool!\u201d&#8230; well, that\u2019s me (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Everyone burst out laughing.<\/p>\n<p>At the end, Shimada jokingly asked a married female comedian, <strong>\u201cDoes your husband walk everywhere?\u201d<\/strong> which was funny. She\u2019s a wonderful woman, so I\u2019m sure her husband loves her very much.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Applying_This_Theory_to_My_Husband\"><\/span>Applying This Theory to My Husband<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I wondered, <strong>\u201cWhat would this car theory say about my husband?\u201d<\/strong> So I listed some of his common sayings and habits, dividing them into positives (+) and concerns (\u2212).<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\"><strong>\u3010Positive Points\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2460 He often says, \u201cA man who polishes his car polishes himself,\u201d and frequently washes and polishes his cars.<br \/>\n\u2192 Does this mean he cherishes his wife?<br \/>\n\u2461 When buying a car, he thoroughly researches every detail and only buys after he\u2019s satisfied.<br \/>\n\u2192 Does this mean he values a woman\u2019s inner qualities?<br \/>\n\u2462 He puts a special body cover on the Boxster to prevent dirt and damage.<br \/>\n\u2192 What does this mean!? But it can\u2019t be bad.<br \/>\n\u2463 He says the relationship between car and driver is a \u201cteam.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2192 Maybe he wants a team-like relationship with his wife, too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\"><strong>\u3010Points of Concern\u3011<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2460 He owns five cars <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Boxster GTS, Panamera Turbo, Golf, SL500, S63 AMG Coupe)<\/span><br \/>\n\u2192 Does this mean he has four other women besides me!?<br \/>\n\u2461 He changes which car he drives depending on his mood.<br \/>\n\u2192 Does this mean he changes which woman he spends time with based on his mood?<br \/>\n\u2462 He says, \u201cThe Boxster, Golf, Panamera, and SL all have their own charms; I can\u2019t pick a favorite.\u201d<br \/>\n\u2192 Does this mean he likes them all and can\u2019t settle on just one woman?<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;That said, so far there\u2019s no sign of other women in my husband\u2019s life <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(hopefully lol)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Shimada\u2019s theory, what kind of man is my husband?
