911 Body Color<\/h3>\n

The other day, I wrote an article about signing the contract for my 911<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since I had written from the very start of this blog that “my goal was to someday buy a Porsche with my own money,”<\/strong> I received many messages from readers.<\/p>\n

Some long-time readers even said, “I’m so happy, it feels like it’s my own news!”<\/strong> I\u2019m truly grateful for everyone\u2019s warm support. Thank you so much.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t share detailed model names or specs just yet, but this time I\u2019d like to talk about which body color I chose<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Why I Chose a Crayon Porsche 911<\/h3>\n

As the blog title says, I went with the “Crayon” body color. Now, I want to share about the colors I considered and why I ultimately chose Crayon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2460 Guards Red<\/h4>\n

Many might be thinking, “Wait, Mina-san, didn\u2019t you always say you wanted to buy a bright red Porsche?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

In fact, from the early daydreaming stages, I had long configured my dream car in “Guards Red.”<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

Also, when browsing 911s on Car Sensor, I always filtered for red body colors, and my current beloved Swift Sport is red too.<\/p>\n

But\u2026 when it came to actually buying, I started thinking realistically about resale value and other factors, and began to wonder, “Is red really the right choice\u2026?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I might keep it for a long time, but there\u2019s also a chance I\u2019ll sell it someday. What if I buy it but can\u2019t maintain it and have to sell? Considering resale value, is red really the best choice\u2026?<\/strong> But then again, if I don\u2019t choose the red I\u2019ve always dreamed of, will I regret it later\u2026?”<\/p>\n

I had often said, somewhat arrogantly, that in Japan, many people choose white or black for their car\u2019s body color, but sports cars deserve more vivid colors!<\/strong> Yet when it came to buying my own, I chickened out (sorry\u2026).<\/p>\n

Now, I truly respect those who boldly choose vivid Porsche colors from the bottom of my heart. lol<\/p>\n

\u2461 Jet Black Metallic<\/h4>\n

Thinking about resale again, I figured it had to be either white or black,<\/strong> so next I considered Jet Black Metallic.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

No matter how you look at it, it\u2019s undeniably cool.<\/p>\n

However, I wondered if it might lessen the vibe of a woman driving a Porsche. When I sent the Jet Black Metallic config to H-san, the PC specialist, he replied:<\/p>\n

“Are you sure about black? I was certain you\u2019d go with red, so I just wanted to double-check by email.”<\/p>\n

That made me think, “Wow! Hearing that, maybe I should go back to red after all!”<\/strong> My heart wavered again, and I briefly returned to Guards Red. lol<\/p>\n

\u2462 Crayon<\/h4>\n

Then, my husband happened to get a chance to test drive a friend\u2019s Porsche 911 in Crayon. When he came home, his first words were:<\/p>\n

“Man, the Crayon 911 is insanely cool!!! My GT3 was Crayon too, so having the next 911 at home also in Crayon would be a nice match. I thought red might be good too, but Crayon is just undeniably awesome!<\/strong> Considering resale, Crayon is probably a smart choice, and a woman driving a Crayon 911? That\u2019s seriously cool!”<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

That really shook my heart again. After seeing photos and checking the config, Crayon just looked incredibly cool.<\/p>\n

Despite all my earlier doubts, somehow I just felt, “Ah, it\u2019s Crayon.”<\/strong> After going around in circles, I finally settled on Crayon for the body color.<\/p>\n

Looking back, it was a very strange but wonderful feeling.<\/p>\n
