I started this blog back in June 2017.<\/p>\n
At first, I began this blog casually. The daily visits were in the single digits for a long time.<\/p>\n
I wondered, \u201cHow can I increase my blog traffic\u2026\u201d<\/strong> and after about two months of trial and error, I decided to change the blog\u2019s title. The new title was:<\/p>\n \u201cUntil the Day I Buy a Porsche with My Own Money\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n From the day I changed the title, the blog\u2019s traffic shot up dramatically, and comments like \u201cWe\u2019re rooting for you!\u201d \u201cPlease make your dream come true!\u201d<\/strong> started pouring in, and the blog grew steadily.<\/p>\n To be honest back then, <\/p>\n \u201cSure, I thought it would be nice to buy a Porsche with my own money someday. But I wasn\u2019t that serious about it, so I never expected such a response… I remember feeling conflicted (serious much? lol).<\/p>\n Five and a half years later, I have finally signed the contract for the 911, taking a big step closer to my goal.<\/p>\n The production slot hasn\u2019t been decided yet, and the delivery date is still unknown, but the loan has been approved, and I\u2019ve already transferred the deposit, so now I\u2019m just waiting to hear from the dealer.<\/p>\n Since I\u2019m going all-in financially, money is tight, so every day feels like I\u2019m being pushed with \u201cWork hard and earn more before the delivery!\u201d<\/strong> (laughs).<\/p>\n I never imagined that someone like me, who had zero interest in cars, would one day buy a Porsche.<\/p>\n Some people say, \u201cYou must have been interested in cars from the start since you started a blog about it?\u201d<\/strong> or \u201cEven if you weren\u2019t interested, you must have known a bit about cars?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n But honestly, I had absolutely no interest at all\u2014not even a millimeter.<\/p>\n I used to think, \u201cI know Prius and kei cars, but all other cars look the same to me.\u201d<\/strong> I never consciously looked at cars driving around town because I just wasn\u2019t interested.<\/p>\n I got my driver\u2019s license simply because \u201cit might be useful as an ID.\u201d<\/strong> I was a paper driver for over ten years and naturally assumed I\u2019d never actually drive a car in my life.<\/p>\n Then I married my husband, who watches car YouTube channels and Car Graphic TV almost daily, and I was drawn into car conversations. On our honeymoon in Germany, we rented a Porsche and toured car manufacturer museums…<\/p>\n My husband kept telling me for six months, \u201cGet in the car! It\u2019s fun!\u201d<\/strong> I kept resisting, but then one day he insisted, \u201cCome pick me up in Umeda by car now!\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 that tough love was the turning point that got me driving.<\/p>\n Though I scratched and bumped the car many times and felt down each time, I upgraded from an automatic-only license to a manual license,<\/strong> started practicing driving a manual, bought a BMW 320i (manual), attended Porsche Driving School in a manual Boxster, and last year, bought a brand-new Swift Sport (manual).<\/p>\n On the personal front, we now have three children including our eldest son, I started a new company last year, and have been working hard and ambitiously. Through all these experiences, I\u2019ve finally come this far.<\/p>\n I\u2019m sure that if I hadn\u2019t started this blog, I wouldn\u2019t have bought a Porsche, nor opened so many doors to different worlds.<\/strong><\/p>\n There were times I was scared of comments and couldn\u2019t write, times I lost sight of why I was blogging, and times I felt lost and troubled. But each time, the comments and messages from readers encouraged me.<\/p>\n It\u2019s thanks to the warm support and encouragement from all of you that, despite ups and downs, I\u2019ve been able to keep moving forward toward my goal.<\/p>\n Thank you so much.<\/p>\n That said, this is just the beginning (I still wonder if I can really pay off the loan… lol), so I\u2019ll keep working hard to comfortably maintain the 911, and while the blog pace may slow down, I hope to continue it.<\/p>\n Thank you for your continued support.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Porsche 911 Contract The other day, I finally signed the contract for my very first Porsche, a Porsche 911.
