The PECLA parking lot is filled with many different Porsches, and just looking at them is a joy. <strong>There were probably around 150 cars parked, including 911s, Boxsters, Caymans, Macans, and Cayennes <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(no Panameras though)<\/span>.<\/strong> Many of the body colors were rare to see in Japan and looked beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4108 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/DjslKieU0AASzRq-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4109 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/DjslKigVAAAirIr-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4110 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/DjslKifU4AAUMbY-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now then, for today\u2019s second part, I\u2019d like to introduce ten Porsches displayed at the PECLA entrance, from classic masterpieces to the latest models, one by one.  <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">New Models and Race Cars<\/h3>\n<p>The display area is lined with Porsches like this. This photo was taken from behind, showing the cars beautifully arranged in three rows, each with a description of the model beside it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4079 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0772-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2460 Porsche 918 Spyder<\/h4>\n<p>The first car that made me think <strong>\u201cThis is seriously cool!\u201d<\/strong> was the 918 Spyder. Its shape resembles the \u201cMission E\u201d concept that preceded Porsche\u2019s electric Taycan. It\u2019s amazing that a car with such a form was actually produced. Only 918 units were made worldwide in 2015, and it sold out immediately.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4080 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0842-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4081 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0847-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4095 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0762-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4094 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0863-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2461 GT2 RS (Weissach Package)<\/h4>\n<p>Displayed at the very back in the center was this GT2 RS with the Weissach Package. Incredible&#8230; the Weissach Package reportedly costs over 3 million yen as an option. Looking closely, you can clearly see carbon fiber used throughout. No wonder it\u2019s so expensive.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4093 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0854-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4092 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0778-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2462 Porsche 919 Hybrid Sports<\/h4>\n<p>The race car 919 Hybrid. I had only seen the white-bodied \u201c919 Hybrid Evo\u201d and \u201c919 Hybrid Tribute\u201d before, so I was used to thinking of the 919 as white-bodied, but the red is really cool too. And that huge \u201cDMG MORI\u201d logo&#8230; they must be paying a fortune for that advertising (laughs).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4083 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0793-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/about-pecla-vol2\/2\/\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2192\u3010Next Page\u3011 Classic masterpieces like Porsche 356 and 911T<\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">A Collection of Classic Masterpieces<\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2463 1958 Porsche 356 Outlaw Speedster<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cOutlaw\u201d refers to a restoration method different from the orthodox approach that uses period-correct original parts. <strong>As a Speedster, it features a lower front windshield.<\/strong> Whether original or replica, 356s from this era must be very hard to come by.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4088 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0838-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4098 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0815-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2464 1964 Porsche 356 Cabriolet Emory Special<\/h4>\n<p>This car was created as an homage to the Porsche 550, which debuted as a race car in 1954, by Rod Emory, the head of Emory Motorsports. It\u2019s a <strong>1962 \u201cSpecial Roadster\u201d<\/strong> and is a rare model likely only seen in museums besides here.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4086 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0816-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2465 Porsche 911 Speedster 1989<\/h4>\n<p>The 1989 Speedster model. It\u2019s an <strong>open-top car produced in a limited run of 250 units<\/strong>, and when it was announced, many people dreamed \u201cI want one! I want to drive it!\u201d It\u2019s a legendary car. The engine is an air-cooled F6 SOHC with 3165cc, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4087 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0823-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2466 1977 Porsche Turbo Carrera Coupe<\/h4>\n<p>In 1974, the 911\u2019s first turbocharged engine model, the 930, was launched. <strong>In August 1977, the 911 Turbo was announced with an increased displacement of 3.3L and equipped with an intercooler.<\/strong> In 1978, the naturally aspirated engine models were also switched to the 930. The 930 is said to be slightly larger than the original 911.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4085 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0814-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2467 1967 Porsche 912 Conda Green<\/h4>\n<p>When this used car was put on sale, it was once tagged with the catchphrase <strong>\u201cEvergreen. A somehow special 911.\u201d<\/strong> Indeed, it feels like a special 911. The millionth 911 produced was painted in a beautiful \u201cIrish Green,\u201d but this color is different and also very beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4084 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0799-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2468 1973.5 Porsche 911 T Targa Chartreuse<\/h4>\n<p>A simple 911T. The current generation 911T is, of course, sold in Japan, but manual transmission is not available <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(though it is available in Germany)<\/span>. My husband was disappointed, saying <strong>\u201c911T absolutely has to be a manual to make sense.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4090 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0831-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\">\u2469 1969 911 T Polo Red<\/h4>\n<p>This red was stunningly beautiful. The 911T was tuned for everyday road use, focusing on eliminating excess, and was actually priced lower than the regular 911. <strong>However, because of the focus on cutting costs and removing extras, its maximum output was only 111 hp, making it the least powerful model in Porsche 911 history.<\/strong> By the way, \u201cT\u201d stands for \u201ctour.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4082 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0862-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">An Impressive Lineup of Display Cars<\/h3>\n<p>Just outside the display area, in front of a \u201c70th Anniversary\u201d panel, stood a bright red 911. A bright red Porsche 911 is so cool\u2014I want to be that stylish woman stepping out of this car (laughs).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4089 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_7358-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The cars on display here apparently change regularly, so next time I visit, I\u2019ll meet different Porsches. Some of the cars had \u201cPrivate car\u201d written on them, so I guess some were borrowed from actual owners.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I found this spot more compact and concentrated with enjoyment than the Porsche Museum, making it a fun place to visit.
