To me, a car isn\u2019t just a way to get around\u2014it\u2019s a \u201cpartner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what he expressed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30241\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/7A13688B-63D5-4C47-AC5F-C901219BDF76-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"992 Satin Aurum Carrera S wheels\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before, I used to think, &#8220;<strong>Well, I kind of get it, but\u2026<\/strong>&#8221; but after buying my own Swift Sport, I feel like I understand that feeling better than before.<\/p>\n<p>When I park the car and come back after running errands, I get the feeling that &#8220;<strong>the car has been patiently waiting for me to return<\/strong>,&#8221; and when I get in and start driving, I feel like I\u2019m setting off together with my partner, saying, &#8220;<strong>Alright, let\u2019s go<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30268\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/IMG_4043-640x480-1.jpg\" alt=\"Suzuki Swift Sport\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And when the timing of shifting gears and clutch operation clicks perfectly, I feel a strong sense of unity with the car and think to myself, &#8220;<strong>I\u2019m so happy, this is so much fun<\/strong>.&#8221; Lately, my feeling of partnership with the Swift Sport has only grown stronger.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Is_the_Source_of_This_Feeling_of_Partnership\"><\/span>What Is the Source of This Feeling of Partnership?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>My husband once said about our air-cooled Porsche 911 (964), &#8220;<strong>The 964 is a car that really feels like a partner<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30314\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/DA533B62-3B68-4EBD-B9A7-3DC91FFDFF44-700x467-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 (964)\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I can understand that when you order a brand-new car from scratch, you develop affection and a strong sense of partnership, but <strong>my husband\u2019s 964 was bought used, and it hasn\u2019t even covered that many kilometers yet (not like 100,000 km or anything\u2026)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>So why does he still feel such a strong sense of partnership? Where does this feeling of a car being a partner come from\u2026?<\/p>\n<p>After thinking about it and listening to other owners, I feel that the sense of partnership is <strong>\u201cthe feeling of driving\u201d and \u201cthe ease of taking it anywhere\u201d<\/strong>. (This is just my personal opinion.)<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the feeling of driving, personal preference plays a big role, but <strong>it\u2019s essential that the handling, ride comfort, performance, engine sound, and the car\u2019s capabilities match your driving skills (I still feel I can\u2019t fully master the 964\u2026 lol)<\/strong> and that you can take it anywhere without hesitation.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not a feeling of &#8220;<strong>This is hard to use in the city\u2026<\/strong>,&#8221; but rather a car you can confidently and casually drive on any road, in any weather.<\/p>\n<p>In that sense, compared to racing cars or large cars with wide bodies, a relatively compact car might be easier to feel that sense of partnership with.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30222\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/4957897C-CDB5-4394-B4A5-5119C7F3DE3B-1280x853-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Buying a car really feels like fate or a special connection.<\/p>\n<p>Even with the same model, each car has its own presence and aura, and I often hear stories like <strong>&#8220;I felt an instant spark the moment I saw it!&#8221; or &#8220;It was as if I was meant to buy this car, and everything just fell into place smoothly.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thinking about all this, the other day I was driving the Swift Sport alone, heading home on the Hanshin Expressway as the sun was setting, and I felt deeply, &#8220;<strong>Ah\u2026 I\u2019m so happy to have met this car.
