(I\u2019ve also written about the size issue in this article)<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"erpH31yD8C\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/porsche_cayenne_202208\/\">\u8eca\u5e45\u306e\u5e83\u3044\u8eca\u306f\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u65e5\u5e38\u4f7f\u3044\u3067\u304d\u308b\uff1f\u30dd\u30eb\u30b7\u30a7\u30ab\u30a4\u30a8\u30f3\u3068\u30d1\u30ca\u30e1\u30fc\u30e9\u3092\u6240\u6709\u3057\u3066\u307f\u305f\u611f\u60f3<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;\u8eca\u5e45\u306e\u5e83\u3044\u8eca\u306f\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u65e5\u5e38\u4f7f\u3044\u3067\u304d\u308b\uff1f\u30dd\u30eb\u30b7\u30a7\u30ab\u30a4\u30a8\u30f3\u3068\u30d1\u30ca\u30e1\u30fc\u30e9\u3092\u6240\u6709\u3057\u3066\u307f\u305f\u611f\u60f3&#8221; &#8212; \u30dd\u30eb\u30b7\u30a7\u304c\u308f\u304c\u5bb6\u306b\u3084\u3063\u3066\u304d\u305f - \u30aa\u30fc\u30ca\u30fc\u30ba\u30d6\u30ed\u30b0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/porsche_cayenne_202208\/embed\/#?secret=erpH31yD8C\" data-secret=\"erpH31yD8C\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Then around summer, my husband had the chance to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/glb220d-4matic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">test drive a friend\u2019s GLB200d<\/a>, and he was deeply impressed by its performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has <strong>a comfortable ride, great road-holding, handling I love, minimal body roll on mountain roads, fun to drive, and yet it\u2019s under 1850mm wide with seating for seven!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With that, the GLB quickly became a top candidate for our family car.<\/p>\n<p>Just then, there was a lottery for models scheduled for winter delivery. Thinking \u201c<strong>the competition is fierce, so there\u2019s no way we\u2019ll win<\/strong>,\u201d we entered anyway\u2014and to our surprise, we won.<\/p>\n<p>That said, we were told delivery would be around February next year, so we prepared to wait patiently.<\/p>\n<p>However, since we had already sold the Cayenne, we were relying on our only 5-seater Swift for every trip, and while <strong>it can fit all five of us, with the baby seat and the somewhat cramped front passenger seat, we were really looking forward to the GLB arriving soon\u2026<\/strong> Then, much earlier than expected, it was delivered in November.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30268\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/IMG_4043-640x480-1.jpg\" alt=\"Suzuki Swift Sport\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t think our whole family has ever been this excited waiting for a car delivery before, haha.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"First_Impressions_of_the_GLB\"><\/span>First Impressions of the GLB<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The weather on delivery day was clear and sunny. (I think it was because I, a notorious rainmaker, hadn\u2019t planned to go, haha.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30269\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/A801F3B7-E530-4893-BAE4-4D24C773932D-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Actually, until delivery day, <strong>I had never driven the GLB even once<\/strong>, but I got to drive it a little after delivery. I\u2019ll share a detailed review in a future article, but for now, I\u2019d like to share my first impressions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In short, it\u2019s a driving feel I really love.<\/strong> The seating position is high, yet it has a solid road-holding feel. The initial acceleration isn\u2019t too light, and it moves forward exactly as much as you press the accelerator.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m not a fan of overly light driving feels, but with the GLB, <strong>I felt no discomfort at all.<\/strong> It really suits my taste.<\/p>\n<p>I like cars that are a bit firm with strong road contact, like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/good-bye-golf-thank-you-golf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golf 7 we used to have<\/a>. Cars you can trust and feel safe driving.<\/p>\n<p>So for those who prefer a smooth, soft ride, they might think, \u201c<strong>The GLB\u2019s ride is a bit firm\u2026<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30259\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/03CB65F8-2537-4345-99D2-B28F0333BC6C-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Mercedes-Benz GLB\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even on the steep hill right in front of our house, it climbs steadily, and I feel the 200d is more than enough without needing the AMG version. (Though I haven\u2019t driven it much yet.)<\/p>\n<p>Also, sitting in the back seat, <strong>the sunroof creates a spacious, open feeling inside, with no sense of confinement.<\/strong> It\u2019s hard to believe such a compact car can feel so roomy inside.<\/p>\n<p>The modern dashboard and comfort features are, as expected from Mercedes-Benz, impressive, and even my daughters, who aren\u2019t really into cars, were excited and said, \u201c<strong>Wow, this is amazing!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30273\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/7094F261-A263-4A56-93A5-6B67B5DA4D48-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My husband said, \u201c<strong>We\u2019re going to drive this GLB hard without worrying about mileage!!<\/strong>\u201d He\u2019s already planning a round trip to Tokyo soon as part of the break-in drive, so please look forward to his impressions as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"GLB Delivery Yesterday, the long-awaited Mercedes-Benz GLB finally arrived at our home.
