It\u2019s very educational.<\/p>\n<p>But on the other hand, I often come across posts like &#8220;<strong>I wanted to buy a new car, but my wife opposed it, so it didn\u2019t happen.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Every family has its own way of thinking, so there\u2019s no single &#8220;<strong>right answer!<\/strong>&#8221; But today, I want to share my perspective as a wife who, in some way, enjoys car life together with her husband.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-30178\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/6C799C9E-EA1E-4D92-9F22-0EB1DAD5EF12-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Macan\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nurture_Your_Husbands_Love_for_Cars\"><\/span>Nurture Your Husband\u2019s Love for Cars<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Personally, I think it\u2019s better not to oppose your husband\u2019s desire to buy a car, but rather to &#8220;<strong>actively nurture his passion for cars.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The feeling of &#8220;<strong>liking something or wanting something<\/strong>&#8221; is an incredible driving force.<\/p>\n<p>Having motivation like &#8220;<strong>I want this, I want to do that<\/strong>&#8221; is better than having no desires or goals at all. If that feeling can be channeled positively into your husband\u2019s work and life, that\u2019s even better.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-29741\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/B6505620-33B6-4CC1-B291-9850312AF1C1-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Steering Wheel\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Specifically, I think it\u2019s good to guide him toward &#8220;<strong>working hard to increase his income to afford the car he wants!<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After considering how much down payment is needed and how much the monthly payments will increase, I\u2019d say something like, &#8220;<strong>Well, if you can increase your income by that much, then go ahead and buy it!<\/strong>&#8221; (Sounds a bit bossy, like a manager, huh? lol)<\/p>\n<p>Of course, saving money is important, but there\u2019s a limit to that. If you\u2019re already saving and your husband suddenly says, &#8220;<strong>I want to buy a new car!<\/strong>&#8221; you might want to say, &#8220;<strong>Where on earth is that money supposed to come from!?<\/strong>&#8221; But\u2026<\/p>\n<p>If you nurture your husband\u2019s motivation to &#8220;<strong>want a car<\/strong>&#8221; and encourage him to work toward increasing his income, the household\u2019s overall income may rise as a result, leading to better outcomes. (On the other hand, if he says he wants a car but refuses to try to increase his income, I\u2019d be totally against it! lol)<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Values_Does_the_Wife_Hold_Dear\"><\/span>What Values Does the Wife Hold Dear?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Reading blogs also makes me think that just saying &#8220;<strong>I want to buy this car<\/strong>&#8221; to your wife will naturally lead to opposition.<\/p>\n<p>If you show concrete actions like &#8220;<strong>I plan to start a side job to cover the extra expenses<\/strong>&#8221; and discuss it with her, then take action and produce results, your wife\u2019s attitude will likely change at least a little.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t need to make a big investment; nowadays, there are plenty of ways to increase income without upfront costs, so it\u2019s worth trying for your own career growth.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-29725\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/E6F0C89B-6A20-4A29-9904-B4F0188A6BE4-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another important point is &#8220;<strong>knowing what values and priorities your wife holds dear.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If your wife values &#8220;<strong>stability<\/strong>,&#8221; you\u2019ll need to reassure her with presentations or actions that &#8220;<strong>this won\u2019t disrupt our stable life.<\/strong>&#8221; If she values &#8220;<strong>spending time together as a family (and dislikes the idea of her husband buying a car just for himself and being free on weekends),<\/strong>&#8221; then promising to prioritize family time more or looking for a sports car the whole family can enjoy might be good options.<\/p>\n<p>Even as a married couple, you come from different backgrounds and ways of thinking. There\u2019s no such thing as &#8220;<strong>understanding each other perfectly just because we\u2019ve been together a long time.<\/strong>&#8221; The willingness to understand each other remains important no matter how many years pass. (We\u2019re still novices ourselves\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>By the way, my husband and I are a couple who strongly value &#8220;<strong>freedom.<\/strong>&#8221; Both of us had a strong belief that &#8220;<strong>if we lose our freedom, we won\u2019t get married,<\/strong>&#8221; so when we decided to marry, many people around us were surprised, saying, &#8220;<strong>What!? That person is getting married!?<\/strong>&#8221; (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>So for me, the more freedom my husband has, the more freedom I can openly enjoy. I want him to be as free as possible, and since he declared he won\u2019t do housework, I freely ask him, &#8220;<strong>Then please hire a cleaning service<\/strong>&#8221; or &#8220;<strong>buy time-saving appliances<\/strong>,&#8221; so\u2026 in a way, I\u2019m quite grateful to him.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, I\u2019m the wife who says to my husband, &#8220;<strong>I want a car, so I\u2019ll work to increase my income!<\/strong>&#8221; It\u2019s a bit unusual, but we hope to continue freely working toward a richer car life and life together as a couple.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"I Read Various Car Blogs Since I write a Porsche blog, I often find myself reading all kinds of car blogs.
