About My Former Self<\/h3>\n

Until a few years ago, I think I was a completely different person. Back then, I lived by the belief that “work was my top priority in life.”<\/strong> I prioritized what I wanted to do over my children or family, believing it was absolutely essential to grow year by year and to keep challenging myself at all times. That was my way of life.<\/p>\n

At that time, I truly believed “I am someone who can change the world.”<\/strong> (So young, haha)<\/span> I thought, “I want to solve the problems I see through my work. Even if there\u2019s no market, I can make an impact on the world by finding the right approach.”<\/strong> Many seniors around me had succeeded that way, so I admired them deeply and naturally believed I could do the same.<\/p>\n

Also, over those years, small miracles happened here and there, which only made me more overconfident and deluded. (I tend to get carried away easily, lol)<\/span><\/p>\n

Knowing My Limits<\/h3>\n

My mindset changed dramatically about a year ago. After my second daughter was born and various things happened both at work and in my personal life, I finally accepted the immediate results of about eight years of continuous challenges and came to understand my true limits.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t have the power to change the world.”<\/p>\n

Because even when Steve Jobs, the visionary leader who changed the world, passed away, the world kept turning, and Apple\u2019s performance has remained strong so far.<\/strong> Yet I had been overestimating myself and realized I had an incredible arrogance in my thinking.<\/p>\n

Where Does My Value Lie?<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m not denying the value of \u201cchallenging yourself\u201d or \u201chaving big goals\u201d\u2014those are wonderful things. Many things people say are \u201cimpossible\u201d can be done if you try, and you grow a lot in the process. \u201cTrying and failing\u201d is hundreds of times more valuable than just saying \u201cI want to but never acting.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

So, challenges themselves are good and meaningful.<\/span><\/p>\n

But at the same time, I think it\u2019s important to calmly know your limits and face reality honestly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyway, a bit off-topic, but after learning firsthand last year that I don\u2019t have the power to change the world, I reconsidered.<\/p>\n

Even if I stop working, the world will keep turning. So, no matter what happens to me, what kind of person I become, or how the world changes, where is the place that will always need me most?<\/p>\n

Only after thinking that deeply did I realize how precious my family right in front of me is.<\/p>\n

No matter how often I get irritated, or say harsh things like \u201cDon\u2019t follow me around!\u201d or how far I am from being a perfect mother, my daughters fully accept me and adore me every day, even fighting over who gets to be with me (laughs).<\/p>\n

No matter how much I say \u201cI really hate cooking\u201d and buy ready-made meals, or how bad I am at cleaning and only occasionally use the Roomba, my husband silently supports me, always saying, \u201cDo what you want to do,\u201d<\/strong> and gives me tremendous support for this blog.<\/p>\n

Being able to share wonderful moments with this precious family and knowing that my presence brings smiles to them feels like I\u2019ve already succeeded in life.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was around the time I started thinking like this that, quite unexpectedly, I began writing this blog.<\/p>\n

Why I Love the Panamera<\/h3>\n

\u201cPrioritizing picking up my daughter from kindergarten over my own time\u201d<\/strong>\u2014my old friends would be shocked to hear that. I used to be constantly on the move, but now I spend almost the entire day at home, doing housework, blogging, and working on my computer.<\/p>\n

But honestly, I don\u2019t feel like I\u2019m sacrificing what I want to do with this lifestyle. On the contrary, I\u2019m satisfied and even feel refreshed because I gave my all to my challenges.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why I think \u201cthe Panamera is truly a wonderful car.\u201d<\/strong> (Whoa, suddenly, haha)<\/span> It lets our family of four go on drives together, the parents can enjoy driving, and the kids are comfortable. While the 911 is also fantastic, the Panamera\u2019s ability to let the whole family share rich moments makes it more appealing to me right now.<\/p>\n

Step by Step, Little by Little<\/h3>\n

Recently, I boldly wrote that I want this blog to become \u201ca helpful resource for everyone considering buying a Porsche.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course, that\u2019s the goal I\u2019m aiming for, but I\u2019m not thinking of \u201cjumping straight there\u201d or \u201ctaking the shortest path.\u201d First and foremost, I want to make this blog a place where the people reading it now can enjoy the articles daily and find useful information that makes them want to come back.<\/p>\n

While valuing that, I want to build it up step by step and hopefully reach that goal someday.<\/p>\n

Looking back at my 20s, I realize I was an incredibly arrogant jerk, so I really feel sorry to my colleagues, coworkers, juniors, and subordinates. I often said things like \u201cIf you\u2019re not motivated, why don\u2019t you quit?\u201d<\/strong> or \u201cI don\u2019t get why you don\u2019t challenge yourself at work because you\u2019re worried about balancing your private life.\u201d<\/strong> I\u2019m sorry for saying those things…<\/p>\n

I was someone who couldn\u2019t understand others\u2019 feelings or pain… Now, I think I could have brought out more of everyone\u2019s potential… But those experiences made me who I am today.<\/p>\n

At the same time, there\u2019s still a part of me that\u2019s stubbornly waiting for the right opportunity, thinking \u201cI\u2019m not going to let my life end like this.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
