On the way there, I had two people in the car, but on the way back, I was alone\u2014and the way it drove was completely different. I thought the weight difference between one and two people wouldn\u2019t be that big, but it was totally different. <strong>Driving solo was incredibly fun; it\u2019s such a well-made car.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29886\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/19E8CEEC-E7FE-47AC-B2BA-A88E6880A722-1280x720-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Suzuki Swift\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He said the difference in driving was especially noticeable on the <strong>highway<\/strong> rather than on regular roads.<\/p>\n<p>When there were two people in the car, he felt a slight lack of grip and some instability in the suspension, but on the way back, driving alone on the highway, <strong>the grip was stronger, the suspension felt stable, and even at higher speeds, there was no fear at all. The acceleration was quicker, lively, and sharp\u2014it felt like a completely different car.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">I\u2019d never driven the Swift Sport solo on a medium or long highway trip before, so I was really surprised today. When the whole family of five rides, the suspension sinks under the weight and can\u2019t do its job well\u2026 that\u2019s how it felt. But <strong>when driving alone, the suspension works properly according to the road surface, and even the handling feels different.<\/strong> I realized again what a great car it is.<\/p>\n<p>Exactly. When driven solo, the Swift Sport\u2019s light weight\u2014under one ton\u2014is fully utilized, and it runs with astonishing liveliness and power.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And controlling that with a manual transmission feels absolutely fantastic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These were my thoughts as I listened to my husband\u2019s story.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Swift_Sport_Porsche_Adding_Another_Car\"><\/span>Swift Sport, Porsche, Adding Another Car?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In the past, whenever I heard about owners, including my husband, adding another car, I honestly thought,<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Wow, one car is enough for me\u2026 They really love their cars, huh\u2026<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So I used to think that when I buy a Porsche someday, I\u2019d <strong>sell the Swift Sport and use that money to help buy the Porsche<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But recently, my thinking has changed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cIt feels like a shame to sell this Swift Sport (this model might be the last pure gasoline engine Swift Sport). I\u2019d probably regret it later if I let it go. And I\u2019d like to drive a manual car from time to time. <strong>So I want to keep this Swift Sport with me forever.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29887\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/50C6763A-CFD4-4C1B-BEAE-7B28126B2E22-1280x720-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Suzuki Swift Sport\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That means adding another car is the only option\u2026 When I told my husband this, he said, \u201c<strong>Sounds great! That\u2019s the way to go! Do it!<\/strong>\u201d (laughs)<\/p>\n<p>What kind of situation and what kind of road best bring out the strengths of a car\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Of course, that varies by car, but recently I\u2019ve come to realize that it\u2019s quite difficult to find <strong>one car that fulfills all the things you want.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For me, the reason I chose the Swift Sport was:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>It can carry three kids (five seats), has solid performance, is a fun manual car, has a compact body, and fits the budget.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So the Swift Sport was the only choice, but even then, I placed importance on the fact that it\u2019s <strong>fun to drive alone<\/strong>, so when riding with the family, some needs aren\u2019t fully met. (Humans are greedy\u2026)<\/p>\n<p>That said, if you want more horsepower and power, the budget goes up, and then you want better ride comfort, and then you start wishing for a more luxurious interior, and before you know it, the car gets wider and bigger, making it impractical for everyday use, so it ends up being ruled out\u2026 It feels like a never-ending cycle (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Thinking about it this way, besides looking for one car that satisfies everything, <strong>using different cars depending on the purpose is also a valid choice<\/strong>, I\u2019ve come to realize recently.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29888\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/0CAD87D4-D339-4D99-AC2C-128EAC625849-1280x720-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Suzuki Swift Sport\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Actually, I\u2019m seriously thinking now about realizing my long-held goal of <strong>buying a Porsche myself<\/strong>, which I\u2019ve had since starting this blog.
