Recently, she shared this with me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">Until now, my husband has never told me, \u201c<strong>You can\u2019t do that<\/strong>,\u201d and I\u2019ve come to realize how truly grateful I am for that. When I became independent in my work, my husband encouraged me by saying, \u201c<strong>Go for it<\/strong>.\u201d But from what I hear around me, many people face opposition from their husbands with questions like, <strong>\u201cWhat if you fail?\u201d \u201cWill it really work out?\u201d \u201cWhat if you neglect the family?\u201d<\/strong> and end up unable to move forward.<\/p>\n<p>She said.<\/p>\n<p>Since my brother-in-law also started a business from scratch and runs a company, maybe he has no resistance to <strong>\u201cstarting your own business\u201d and \u201cmaking a living with your own skills.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That made me think, \u201cCome to think of it, since marrying my husband, I\u2019ve never been opposed when I wanted to do something,\u201d so when I got home, I asked him,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cBoth your brothers don\u2019t oppose their wives\u2019 ambitions, but is it because <strong>you\u2019ve started your own business and have success under your belt, so you can encourage your wife?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He answered like this:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">No, it\u2019s not that I can encourage my wife because I have success experience. I\u2019ve always thought, \u201c<strong>If you want to do it, then do it<\/strong>,\u201d and as a result, I\u2019ve succeeded. It\u2019s like the chicken and egg question. Since I was young, I haven\u2019t really thought \u201c<strong>I can\u2019t do this because of XYZ<\/strong>,\u201d but rather acted on \u201c<strong>I want to do it, so I\u2019ll do it<\/strong>.\u201d <strong>Honestly, it feels stranger to me to hold back and not do something I really want to do.<\/strong> I just think, go ahead and do what you like. Also, whatever you do, I know that <strong>even if things get tough, it\u2019ll be okay and somehow work out<\/strong>. And even if it doesn\u2019t go well, as long as I\u2019m earning, there\u2019s no problem. So if my wife wants to do something, I think she should be free to do it.<\/p>\n<p>I thought, I see\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The reason my husband doesn\u2019t oppose what I want to do (and vice versa) lies more in his fundamental way of thinking than in experience, and <strong>I realized how truly important it is for couples to share similar values.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-29495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/800E119F-0B5F-4115-ACA5-BDA065BC61FB-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 Type 996\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Our_Shared_Views_on_Gaming\"><\/span>Our Shared Views on Gaming<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Then recently, I casually tweeted this&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"ja\">My husband wants our daughters to play Dragon Quest, so he says, \u201cYou can play anytime, as much as you want,\u201d and when he comes home he asks, \u201cDid you play Dragon Quest?\u201d and even shows them how fun it is by playing himself, but they still don\u2019t seem interested. Watching this from the outside is really funny lol<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mina &#8211; Welcome Home, PORSCHE (@Mina_Panamera) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mina_Panamera\/status\/1563307922834173953?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 26, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>I received comments like this:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">This episode really shows what a wonderful couple you are \u263a\ufe0f Normally, if a dad said something like that, the mom would complain about the kids playing too many games. But Mina, you find it amusing, and the fact that both of you understand the greatness of Dragon Quest shows how important it is for couples to share values.<\/p>\n<p>Again, it came back to the theme of <strong>shared values between spouses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I love games, but my parents were strict, so I didn\u2019t get to play much as a child. I was more of a straight-A student who studied seriously and went straight home from school. (Though calling myself a straight-A student might be a bit much&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>But maybe as a reaction to that, after I started living alone as an adult, I bought various game consoles like PlayStation and Nintendo DS, and played role-playing games like Resident Evil, Dragon Quest, Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Metal Gear Solid, and Onimusha every night (the rebound is scary&#8230; lol).<\/p>\n<p>Still, <strong>through Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, I developed an interest in history and started reading books about the Three Kingdoms and works by Ryotaro Shiba<\/strong>, so for me, games were a great way to expand my interests.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I think it\u2019s fine for kids to play games if they want to, and that <strong>there are quite a few positive aspects to gaming<\/strong>. So I don\u2019t say \u201cDon\u2019t play games.\u201d (If I had a wish, I\u2019d hope they\u2019d be on the game-creating side rather than just playing.)<\/p>\n<p>Getting back on track, when I talked to my husband about our views on gaming, he said this:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Yeah. Before getting married, you should understand each other\u2019s values to some extent, so if you think you don\u2019t match, there\u2019s no need to force a relationship or marry just because of appearances. If you feel comfortable and happy, then get married; if not, don\u2019t. I think it\u2019s better to cherish your own values and make decisions accordingly. For example, I sometimes see tweets from car lovers who say, \u201cMy girlfriend, who\u2019s thinking about marriage, told me not to buy any more cars because we need to save money.\u201d Instead of giving in there, I think you should clearly communicate how important cars are to you, and if they don\u2019t understand, then there\u2019s no need to force marriage. I want to live valuing my own way of thinking and values, not fearing a life that goes against societal norms.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-29312\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/C2011580-8D87-4FBB-8EB9-460EFE8277D7-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even if couples have different values, some accept those differences and live well together, while others prioritize fundamental value alignment.
