What Is the “Porsche Office Chair”?<\/h3>\n

My husband had been wanting a “Porsche Office Chair” for working at home for quite some time. The Porsche Office Chair is a product from the “Porsche Driver’s Selection Masterpiece” collection released in July 2017. It\u2019s a work chair made using the original Porsche 911 sports seat, the “4-way plus.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

It features manual height adjustment, electric backrest angle adjustment, and manual armrest adjustment. The seat and armrests are upholstered in Porsche\u2019s original black leather, and the headrest is embossed with the Porsche crest.<\/p>\n

By the way, there are two types available: the “Office Chair” and the “Office Chair RS.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I argued, “No way, you definitely don\u2019t need that (-_-),” but my husband was completely sold, saying, “It\u2019s like a dream to be able to sit in a Porsche seat while just being at home!”<\/strong> Unfortunately, it was already sold out online, so we contacted our dealer representative, Mr. H, who kindly ordered one all the way from Germany.<\/p>\n

After a few weeks, it finally arrived at the dealer, and Mr. H personally delivered it to our home the other day.<\/p>\n

I was genuinely surprised when it arrived.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s huge (\uff1b\uff9f\u0414\uff9f)!!(The photos don\u2019t quite capture the size, but it\u2019s really big.)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When I told Mr. H, “I can\u2019t believe people actually buy chairs like this\u2026” he said, “Your husband is actually the third customer at our dealership to buy one.”<\/strong> Wow, there really are other enthusiasts like my husband out there.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what it looked like when we opened the box.<\/p>\n

It even comes with a manual written in Japanese. Since the seat adjustments are electric, it needs to be plugged in to charge before use.<\/p>\n

At first glance, the seat surface looks exactly like a Porsche seat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The electric seat adjustment buttons are the same shape and layout as those on a Porsche seat.<\/p>\n

Of course, there\u2019s no airbag installed (laughs).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The headrest is stylishly embossed with the Porsche crest. Also, just like a real Porsche, there\u2019s a hook on the back of the chair to hang a jacket.<\/p>\n

How Does It Feel to Actually Sit in It?<\/h3>\n

My husband, who is 178 cm tall, tried sitting in it and raised the seat to its highest position. At that height, his feet didn\u2019t even touch the floor.<\/p>\n

Lowering it to the lowest position looks like this.<\/p>\n

The recline isn\u2019t very deep, but it flexes nicely forward and backward, making it comfortable for working on a computer.<\/p>\n

My husband said,<\/p>\n

This is exactly like a Porsche seat. It\u2019s almost the same as the Boxster\u2019s Sports Seat Plus. Also, many Japanese office chairs have short seat surfaces, but this one\u2019s longer, so it\u2019s easier to bend your knees and it fits your legs perfectly, making it very comfortable. Since it\u2019s a car seat, it doesn\u2019t get tiring even after sitting for long hours. I think it\u2019ll really help me get work done!<\/p>\n

I also tried sitting in it and was surprised at how the seat surface is indeed longer than usual.<\/strong> The seat is firmer than typical office chairs, and the backrest extends all the way up to the head, naturally encouraging good posture. Sitting here at my computer, I definitely don\u2019t feel tired at all.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s very large and weighs over 30 kg, so it\u2019s difficult to carry upstairs, and we\u2019ll probably keep it on the first floor permanently.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By the way, the price for the “Office Chair” we bought was 711,720 yen. The “Office Chair RS” costs about 100,000 yen more.<\/p>\n

So, it\u2019s expensive\u2026 ((\uff1b\uff9f\u0414\uff9f))<\/span> \u2026in fact, it\u2019s by far the most expensive piece of furniture in our home.<\/p>\n
