About This Porsche Blog<\/h3>\n

Thank you so much for visiting “Welcome Home, PORSCHE” among the many car blogs out there, including Porsche and sports car blogs. For those of you who read regularly, I feel you somewhat understand \u201cthe direction and core values of this Porsche blog\u201d<\/strong>, but I decided to take a moment to organize and clearly state them here.<\/p>\n

What is the goal of this Porsche blog?<\/h3>\n

First and foremost, this blog aims to be<\/p>\n

a blog that provides useful information for those considering purchasing a Porsche or current Porsche owners<\/span><\/p>\n

The reason is that my spouse and I feel \u201cthere is currently very little information about Porsche available online.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"911<\/p>\n

Porsche is a luxury car, and even adding a single option can be expensive. Moreover, it takes several months from ordering to delivery, so it\u2019s not a car you can buy on a whim. Many people might hesitate, wondering \u201cIs it really worth trading in my current car to switch to a Porsche\u2026?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

When we were considering buying a Panamera, my husband, who likes to research everything thoroughly before buying<\/a>, scoured the internet for information but couldn\u2019t find enough satisfying details in Japanese, so he resorted to checking overseas sites in English for information gathering (he\u2019s now studying English intensively, lol)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Some might say, \u201cThere are plenty of Porsche test drive reviews on automotive websites,\u201d but the information from media test drives alone isn\u2019t enough. What those considering buying a Porsche really want is \u201cinformation from actual owners.\u201d<\/strong> If it were me, I\u2019d want to know:<\/p>\n

\u30fbWhich options are essential and which can be skipped
\n\u30fbHow much do repairs, maintenance, and upkeep actually cost after delivery
\n\u30fbHow owning a Porsche has changed my life<\/p>\n

I want to hear these real voices. That\u2019s why through this blog and our \u201cPorsche Owners File\u201d<\/a> series, we hope to provide even a little useful information to those who want to buy a Porsche and current Porsche owners.<\/p>\n

Based on the above, I\u2019ve organized the basic concept of running this blog. The concepts below are considered from the perspective of \u201cmy husband\u2019s way of thinking as the base, and how I want to express that.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2460 The Car is the Star of the Blog<\/h3>\n

Among luxury car blogs, there are many that focus more on \u201ccelebrity lifestyles\u201d<\/strong> than the cars themselves. That\u2019s not a bad thing\u2014many readers are interested in celebrity lifestyles, so it\u2019s good that those blogs meet that need.<\/p>\n

But for this Porsche blog, the star is always \u201cthe car.\u201d<\/p>\n

We sometimes share travel stories or shopping topics, but compared to our lifestyle, \u201cwe will continue to focus mainly on Porsche and car-related information.\u201d<\/strong> So readers expecting lifestyle articles might find it a bit lacking.<\/p>\n

After all, we are a couple who usually wear almost all Uniqlo clothes, aren\u2019t very interested in fashion, love family restaurants, and prefer chain stores over independent shops\u2014so even if we wanted to write about a celebrity lifestyle, we couldn\u2019t, lol.<\/p>\n

Also, even among Porsche fans, there are many types of people. Some, like my husband, are car enthusiasts, while others might \u201csee cars as fashion accessories and own a Porsche as a way to show off.\u201d<\/strong> Neither is better or worse\u2014it\u2019s a matter of personal preference. But this blog is about<\/p>\n

talking about Porsche from the perspective of the car\u2019s performance and what owning it brings.<\/p>\n

I want to make that clear here again.<\/p>\n

\"New<\/p>\n

Porsche is not something anyone can easily buy; it can be a goal for many people. Because of that, there is a side to Porsche ownership that is seen as \u201cproof of success.\u201d<\/strong> But my husband says,<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t buy a Porsche to get external validation like \u201cLook how amazing I am because I own a Porsche!\u201d If that were the case, I\u2019d just buy an obvious supercar and drive it down Midosuji Avenue. I buy a Porsche because I think it\u2019s an excellent car and industrial product. That\u2019s it. Even if Porsche wasn\u2019t a high-end brand everyone admires but a cheaper manufacturer, I\u2019d still buy it.<\/p>\n

He also doesn\u2019t believe in concepts like \u201cbuying the highest-grade model\u201d or \u201cS models are better than normal ones.\u201d<\/strong> His view is \u201cif the test drive feels good, the normal model is enough.\u201d<\/strong> So the blog content is basically written from this stance.<\/p>\n

When I teased him, \u201cBut you bought a Panamera Turbo, didn\u2019t you? (\uffe3\u30fc\uffe3)w,\u201d he replied,<\/p>\n

I\u2019m driving the Panamera Turbo now because I didn\u2019t want to say \u201cI don\u2019t need a Turbo\u201d or \u201cI don\u2019t need that much power\u201d without knowing what the top is like.<\/p>\n

Makes sense.<\/p>\n

\u2461 Objective, Clear Writing<\/h3>\n

Since this is a personal blog, it inevitably has a strong subjective tone. It\u2019s obvious to anyone that we are Porsche fans (lol). But we try hard to \u201cnot write articles based only on subjective views.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u30fbWrite objectively, neutrally, and organize information as realistically as possible
\n\u30fbNever forget the female perspective
\n\u30fbIntroduce other cars we think are good besides Porsche
\n\u30fbUse examples whenever possible<\/p>\n

We strive to make the writing easy to read and understand for our readers.<\/p>\n

\"New<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, we try to explain \u201cwhy we feel that way\u201d as much as possible.<\/strong> Many motor magazines and automotive websites write test drive reviews based on manufacturer specs and actual numbers. For example, \u201cThis car has \u25cf\u25cf horsepower, so it has tremendous power,\u201d or \u201c0-100 km\/h in 3.7 seconds means fast acceleration.\u201d<\/p>\n

But in this blog, we want to go one step further and write about \u201cwhy we feel that way.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

For example, \u201cThe acceleration feels strong because the structure changed like this compared to the previous model,\u201d or \u201cCompared to other cars in the same class from other manufacturers, there are differences in \u25cf\u25cf and \u25cf\u25cf, which might explain this feeling.\u201d These might be just personal guesses, but based on my husband\u2019s experience with many cars, we want to explain \u201cwhy we feel that way\u201d<\/strong> as much as possible.<\/p>\n

That said, it\u2019s quite a challenge for me, who has limited car knowledge, to understand my car-enthusiast husband\u2019s views and write articles<\/a> (-_-) lol.<\/p>\n

\u2462 Meaningful Articles That Are Fun and Interesting<\/h3>\n

It might sound unbelievable coming from someone who updates the blog daily, but I really dislike reading long texts.<\/strong> I hardly ever read books, and embarrassingly, I\u2019m lucky if I read one book a year (I still prefer manga)<\/span>. I\u2019m also not good at reading newspapers; just seeing a page full of text instantly kills my motivation to read.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why I consciously try to write articles that even someone like me, who hates long texts, wants to read.<\/strong> This blog often has detailed and serious content, but writing it plainly wouldn\u2019t be interesting. So I try to add a little humor or write in a way that paints a vivid picture\u2026 I try to keep a playful spirit. This is something only a personal blog can do, which general web media cannot.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

Also, we never write \u201cSEO-only articles with no substance.\u201d<\/strong> SEO is very important for running a blog or website, and this blog gets a lot of traffic from keyword searches. However, we absolutely do not write \u201carticles stuffed with keywords just to catch clicks but with no real content.\u201d<\/strong> Even short articles are written with the hope that readers will think \u201cI see\u201d or find some value in reading them. We strive to write meaningful articles.<\/p>\n

Basically, my husband and I are honest people, for better or worse (which is why neither of us is suited for working in organizations, lol)<\/span>, and we have a craftsman spirit.
