The Personality of My Porsche-Loving Husband<\/h3>\n

The other day, after having a long chat with my husband, I wrote an article titled “The Work Philosophy of a Porsche Owner | What I Did When I Bought a Porsche but Had No Time to Drive It<\/a>,” which received a great response.<\/p>\n

Actually, during that conversation, my husband shared his thoughts on how he plans to earn money in the future<\/strong>, and since it was quite interesting, I want to write about it today.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

My husband has always been the type to think with the mindset of \u201cdiversifying risks\u201d and \u201cpreparing for the worst-case scenario so that even if something happens, we\u2019ll be okay.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

That hasn\u2019t changed since we first met.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, I tend to be quite optimistic. So whenever something good happens, I get carried away, and my husband would always bring me back down to earth.<\/p>\n

For example, once I excitedly said, “Company XX wants to become an agent for our service and sell it! Sales might go up!<\/strong>”
\nHe replied, <\/p>\n

We don\u2019t even know if that company will actually sell it. If we were selling ourselves, that would be different, but relying on another company to sell and basing sales forecasts on that is too hopeful.
\nIt\u2019s better to assume they won\u2019t sell anything at all and consider any sales from them as a lucky bonus.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In reality, sales didn\u2019t increase much because of that.<\/p>\n

Also, when I happily said, “We landed a big project! Things are going to get busy!<\/strong>” my husband said, <\/p>\n

It\u2019s great to get a big project, but we should be cautious about hiring new people<\/strong>.
\nBecause there\u2019s no guarantee we\u2019ll get that project again next year.
\nI\u2019m grateful for big lump-sum sales, and on paper, it\u2019s sales, but mentally, I try not to count it as sales.<\/strong>
\nI focus on steady, fixed monthly income, even if it\u2019s small, and work on increasing that little by little.<\/p>\n

At the time, I grumbled, “I\u2019m telling you good news, and instead of celebrating with me, you\u2019re raining on my parade\u2026 (-_-)<\/strong>” but looking back, my husband was always thinking about creating a state where we\u2019d be okay even in the worst-case scenario.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How My Porsche-Loving Husband Plans to Earn in the Future<\/h3>\n

The introduction got a bit long, but recently my husband shared his thoughts on how he wants to earn money going forward.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Right now, I\u2019ve built a system where the team can handle work without me. I also started studying asset management a few years ago, investing in various ways and growing my assets.
\nBut this current state isn\u2019t what I\u2019d call \u201ccomplete financial independence.\u201d<\/strong>
\nMy main income still comes from my company\u2019s salary, so if something happens to the company, I can\u2019t maintain this state.
\nThat\u2019s why, as Atsuhiko Nakata said on YouTube, I want to create a \u201cmoney machine\u201d<\/strong>\u2014a system where money comes in even if I do nothing.<\/strong>
\nI want to have many of these money machines, even if they\u2019re small, so that if one fails, the others will keep me safe without any pain or worry.<\/strong>
\nOnly when I can earn money without relying on my company\u2019s salary and without having to work actively, reaching a state where I don\u2019t have to worry about money<\/strong>, will I feel truly financially independent.<\/p>\n

I see\u2026<\/p>\n

In Japan, there\u2019s the saying \u201cThose who don\u2019t work shouldn\u2019t eat,\u201d<\/strong> and there\u2019s a tendency to view earning income without hard work as something bad.<\/p>\n

Also, earning income as a reward for labor is a wonderful way of working and living, where you can delight customers, achieve goals with your team, and feel fulfillment and accomplishment.<\/strong> I like that.<\/p>\n

But on the other hand, I also think it\u2019s good to build money machines and earn income without doing anything.<\/p>\n

Everyone thinks differently, and there are many ways to earn money in this world, so there\u2019s no need to stick to just one way, I thought while listening to my husband.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

My husband has never been very materialistic, and when he spends a large sum, it\u2019s usually on cars or car parts.<\/p>\n

So I asked him, “If you don\u2019t really want that much money, why do you want to earn more and think about further financial independence?<\/strong>”
\nHe said: <\/p>\n

Well\u2026 actually, no matter how much I earn, it still feels like it\u2019s not enough (laughs).<\/strong>
\nI used to set goals like \u201cI want to earn XX million yen a year,\u201d and thought that would be enough. But when I actually reached that income, it wasn\u2019t nearly enough.
\nSupporting my family, kids\u2019 education, future asset building, insurance\u2026 and then buying and maintaining the Porsche I want\u2014it all adds up, and I realized I don\u2019t have enough money.
\nThat\u2019s why I started thinking I need to earn more.<\/p>\n

He continued, <\/p>\n

And recently, I\u2019ve realized that as long as I\u2019m focused on increasing my annual income,<\/strong> I\u2019m not truly free from money.
\nAmong the people I\u2019ve met through Porsche, there are many who have transcended that and are free from money.<\/strong>
\nHearing their stories has had a big impact on me.
\nBeing able to buy what I want without hesitation, even if cash goes down temporarily, knowing it will grow again\u2026 I\u2019m genuinely curious what that kind of freedom from money feels like.<\/strong>
\nNow that I know such a world exists, I want to experience it myself.<\/p>\n

\"Touring<\/p>\n

My husband is someone who loves freedom<\/strong> above all else.<\/p>\n

He seems to live aiming for freedom and no constraints in many ways\u2014freedom of time, freedom of decision-making, freedom in relationships, and financial freedom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Doing what he wants when he wants, creating a situation where no one complains even if he pursues what he loves.<\/p>\n

They say freedom comes with great responsibility, but he calmly fulfills those responsibilities as if fulfilling responsibility is just a step toward gaining freedom,<\/strong> and keeps moving forward to the next stage.<\/p>\n

He enjoys challenges like playing a Dragon Quest game, always working to make his already comfortable situation even better and perfect for himself.<\/p>\n

Watching him, I think he\u2019s quite a unique person (laughs).<\/p>\n

Looking back, the reason I decided, “I want to marry this person,<\/strong>” was because we both felt that even after marriage, we wouldn\u2019t have to change our way of life and could remain free.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe we\u2019re a couple who are surprisingly alike.<\/p>\n
