Since then, I\u2019ve made a few changes and fitted SWK\u2019s Lowering Sports Spring Set. Here are my impressions of how it\u2019s changed the car.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ez-toc-container\" class=\"ez-toc-v2_0_74 counter-hierarchy ez-toc-counter ez-toc-grey ez-toc-container-direction\">\n<div class=\"ez-toc-title-container\">\n<p class=\"ez-toc-title\" style=\"cursor:inherit\">\u30b3\u30f3\u30c6\u30f3\u30c4<\/p>\n<span class=\"ez-toc-title-toggle\"><\/span><\/div>\n<nav><ul class='ez-toc-list ez-toc-list-level-1 ' ><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-3'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/en\/entry\/swift-lowdown\/#SWK_Lowering_Sports_Spring_Set_ZC33S\" >SWK Lowering Sports Spring Set (ZC33S)<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-3'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/en\/entry\/swift-lowdown\/#SWK_Lowering_Springs_Installation_Review_and_Driving_Impressions\" >SWK Lowering Springs: Installation Review and Driving Impressions<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SWK_Lowering_Sports_Spring_Set_ZC33S\"><\/span>SWK Lowering Sports Spring Set (ZC33S)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The springs I chose are sold by SWK (Suzuki Works Kurume), a Suzuki dealer that operates Suzuki Arena Kurume Nishi.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27202\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/266E807A-720E-46FC-A16D-495ED95411B5-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"SWK lowering springs\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When choosing a lowering setup, I had a few priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My wife and kids are the main drivers, so I didn\u2019t want a harsh, overly stiff ride.<\/li>\n<li>I wanted to keep the factory Monroe dampers.<\/li>\n<li>I wanted to preserve ride comfort while improving stability through corners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With those requirements in mind, I wasn\u2019t looking for coilovers. I wanted springs designed to work well with the stock dampers. I was told that <strong>SWK\u2019s springs were a good match<\/strong>, so I decided to give them a try.<\/p>\n<p>The set includes springs, bump stops, and <strong>camber bolts, all for \u00a532,500 (before tax)<\/strong>\u2014a very reasonable price. I ordered them online, and they arrived in about two days.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/228872D6-9A7C-4920-AC21-63E7B678FE42-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Lowering springs fitted to the Swift Sport\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SWK_Lowering_Springs_Installation_Review_and_Driving_Impressions\"><\/span>SWK Lowering Springs: Installation Review and Driving Impressions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The difference in appearance is immediately noticeable. Based on my measurements, the car sits about 2.5 cm lower, but that small drop makes the whole car look lower and more purposeful. From the driver\u2019s seat, it feels a little closer to the ground, giving the cabin more of a sports-car feel and less of a family-car vibe.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27017\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/C41BD5BA-62BD-4250-98D8-60AB5938E891-1280x720.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Out on the road, the ride is far from harsh. In fact, on smooth pavement, it feels even better than before, with a flatter, more settled ride.<\/p>\n<p>Over small bumps and slightly rough roads, the ride is pretty much unchanged from stock.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The only real difference is an occasional sharp thump when going over a large bump.<\/strong> I also fitted the dedicated bump stops, which should make the suspension much less likely to bottom out. Even so, I still feel a jolt now and then over bigger bumps, so I imagine it could be quite unpleasant with the stock bump stops still in place.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re considering these springs, I\u2019d recommend replacing the bump stops at the same time.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_27204-2\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27204-2\" class=\"wp-image-27204 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D3F1B066-2301-4C17-933D-13B1D022EF24-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Ride height immediately after installing the lowering springs\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-27204-2\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Right after installation, there was just enough room for three fingers between the tire and fender. The springs have settled slightly since then, and now there\u2019s room for about two and a half fingers.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_27205-2\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27205-2\" class=\"size-large wp-image-27205\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/04ABA11C-C65B-4919-B700-B2B3B37017CA-1280x720.jpeg\" alt=\"Stock ride height\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-27205-2\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This is how much space there was between the tire and fender with the stock suspension.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>The biggest improvement is the added stability through corners.<\/strong> The stock car\u2019s slightly top-heavy feel is gone, and I can take corners with confidence at a decent pace. It turns in eagerly, making for a lot of fun behind the wheel.<\/p>\n<p>The spring rates are 2.3 kgf\/mm at the front and 2.7 kgf\/mm at the rear\u2014not especially high. But lowering the car seems to have brought its center of gravity down noticeably. There\u2019s no sudden increase in body roll partway through a corner; instead, the roll stays more consistent, which makes it easier to carry confidence through the turn.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It also feels more stable on the highway.<\/strong> The stock suspension was already composed at highway speeds, but now the car feels more planted. Ride comfort at speed is still good, too. It\u2019s comfortable enough that I don\u2019t expect any complaints from the family.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27199\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/6B0DC125-2FEE-48DB-81D0-F30FBB6FCBA3-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So far, <strong>my wife seems to love the changes. She says the car feels more stable and is even more fun to drive.<\/strong> I take the Swift Sport out from time to time, and I have to agree.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s light, so it accelerates eagerly at any speed, and its quick, nimble handling makes it a blast around town. The shift action is satisfying, and the clutch is easy to use. <strong>It\u2019s the kind of car that makes you want to keep driving.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m very happy with this setup. If I let myself dream, though, I\u2019d add a stiffer front anti-roll bar to reduce body roll and swap the seats for ones that sit a little lower. The list of possibilities just keeps growing.
