Since then, I customized it by installing SWK\u2019s lowering sport spring set, so this time I\u2019d like to share my review and impressions.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ez-toc-container\" class=\"ez-toc-v2_0_74 counter-hierarchy ez-toc-counter ez-toc-grey ez-toc-container-direction\">\n<div class=\"ez-toc-title-container\">\n<p class=\"ez-toc-title\" style=\"cursor:inherit\">\u30b3\u30f3\u30c6\u30f3\u30c4<\/p>\n<span class=\"ez-toc-title-toggle\"><\/span><\/div>\n<nav><ul class='ez-toc-list ez-toc-list-level-1 ' ><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-3'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/en\/entry\/swift-lowdown\/#SWK_Lowering_Sport_Spring_Set_ZC33S\" >SWK Lowering Sport Spring Set (ZC33S)<\/a><\/li><li class='ez-toc-page-1 ez-toc-heading-level-3'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/en\/entry\/swift-lowdown\/#Evaluation_and_Impressions_After_Installing_SWK_Lowering_Sport_Springs\" >Evaluation and Impressions After Installing SWK Lowering Sport Springs<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SWK_Lowering_Sport_Spring_Set_ZC33S\"><\/span>SWK Lowering Sport Spring Set (ZC33S)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The springs I installed this time are sold by SWK (Suzuki Works Kurume), a dealer operating Suzuki Arena Kurume West.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27202\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/266E807A-720E-46FC-A16D-495ED95411B5-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"SWK Lowering Springs\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When deciding on lowering, I focused on the following points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Since my wife and kids mainly drive it, I didn\u2019t want it to be too stiff.<\/li>\n<li>I wanted to keep the stock Monroe shocks as they are.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain ride comfort while prioritizing stability during cornering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With that in mind, I was looking for a product designed to work well with stock shocks rather than coilovers, and I was told <strong>SWK\u2019s springs were a great choice<\/strong>, so I decided to buy them.<\/p>\n<p>The set includes springs, bump rubbers, and camber bolts\u2014<strong>all three for 32,500 yen (tax excluded)<\/strong>, which is quite affordable. I ordered online and they arrived in about two days.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27198\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/228872D6-9A7C-4920-AC21-63E7B678FE42-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Installing lowering springs on Swift Sport\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Evaluation_and_Impressions_After_Installing_SWK_Lowering_Sport_Springs\"><\/span>Evaluation and Impressions After Installing SWK Lowering Sport Springs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>First, the look changed significantly. By actual measurement, it seems to have dropped about 2.5 cm, but <strong>the whole car sits lower, giving a strong impression of being poised and ready.<\/strong> Sitting in the driver\u2019s seat also feels noticeably lower, shifting the vibe from a family car to more of a sporty feel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27017\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/C41BD5BA-62BD-4250-98D8-60AB5938E891-1280x720.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once driving, the ride comfort is not bad at all. On flat roads, it actually feels improved, with a greater sense of flatness and stability.<\/p>\n<p>On small bumps or slightly rough surfaces, the ride comfort is almost the same as stock.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The only difference is that sometimes you get a sharp jolt when going over large bumps.<\/strong> Although I replaced the bump rubbers with dedicated ones, which should reduce suspension bottoming out significantly, there are still occasional impacts on big bumps. If you keep the stock bump rubbers, it might get quite harsh.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you\u2019re considering this upgrade, I recommend changing the bump rubbers at the same time.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_27204\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27204\" class=\"wp-image-27204 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/D3F1B066-2301-4C17-933D-13B1D022EF24-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Ride height just after lowering spring replacement\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-27204\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Right after replacement, there was barely a three-finger gap. Now it has settled to about two and a half fingers.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_27205\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27205\" class=\"size-large wp-image-27205\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/04ABA11C-C65B-4919-B700-B2B3B37017CA-1280x720.jpeg\" alt=\"Stock ride height\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-27205\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The stock ride height had this much gap between the fender and tire.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The biggest difference is <strong>the stability during cornering.<\/strong> The tall, top-heavy feeling of stock is gone, and you can confidently take corners at a decent speed. It turns in sharply and aggressively, making it a lot of fun.<\/p>\n<p>The spring rates are 2.3 kgf\/mm front and 2.7 kgf\/mm rear, which aren\u2019t particularly high, but lowering the ride height has significantly lowered the car\u2019s center of gravity. Because of this, the roll doesn\u2019t suddenly increase mid-corner; instead, it stays consistent, allowing the driver to feel very secure when cornering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highway stability also seems improved.<\/strong> The stock suspension was already stable at highway speeds, but now there\u2019s an even stronger sense of grip. The ride comfort at high speeds is also fine\u2014comfortable enough that the family won\u2019t complain.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-27199\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/6B0DC125-2FEE-48DB-81D0-F30FBB6FCBA3-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Swift Sport ZC33S\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So far, <strong>my wife really likes it, saying the increased stability makes driving more enjoyable.<\/strong> I also occasionally drive the Swift Sport, and it\u2019s definitely fun.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s light, so it accelerates briskly from any speed, and the sharp handling lets you zip through city streets. The shift feel and clutch operation are excellent, making it a car you want to drive endlessly.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I\u2019m very satisfied with this customization, but if I were to dream a little more, <strong>I\u2019d add a reinforced front stabilizer to increase roll stiffness and swap the seats to lower the seating position further.<\/strong> However, I don\u2019t want to go too far and make it uncomfortable for the family, so I\u2019ll keep it moderate for now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Recently, I wrote a review of the Swift Sport in its completely stock condition.
