I didn\u2019t notice any wheel balance issues on either the 964 or the NISMO. The button battery lasts about two years.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The one I use is an inexpensive Chinese-made tire pressure monitor bought on Amazon. It measures tire temperature and pressure with almost no deviation compared to a proper gauge. It runs on a solar panel, so no wiring is needed, and it even alerts you when the pressure reaches the preset level.<\/p>\n<p>It worked so well that I installed it not only on my air-cooled Porsche class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Recently, while driving my air-cooled Porsche on the highway, a loud alarm suddenly went off.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25112\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25112\" class=\"wp-image-25112 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/C938E083-4932-421C-ABF2-D60C5803B7FC-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Tire Pressure Monitor\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-25112\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The left rear tire pressure dropped to 1.9<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Checking the monitor in a panic, I saw the left rear tire pressure had dropped to 1.9 bar. For a stock 16-inch 964, normal pressure is around 3.0 bar, so this was a significant difference from the right rear tire. It was clearly a flat.<\/p>\n<p>I carefully drove to my destination, and after finishing work, I inspected the car in the parking lot. Sure enough, a small nail was stuck in the tire. Since the pressure was still around 1.9 bar, I slowly pulled into a nearby gas station.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-25111\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/20D41148-6D4B-44D1-AB52-596DE5792CF5-960x1280.jpeg\" alt=\"Nail stuck in tire\" width=\"960\" height=\"1280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had the flat repaired on the spot without issue, but thinking about what could have happened if I hadn\u2019t noticed and had driven on the highway until a blowout occurred is truly frightening. Especially since it\u2019s rear-wheel drive\u2014losing control could have been disastrous.<\/p>\n<p>That experience made me truly grateful to have the tire pressure monitor installed.
