\nThe 970 plug-in hybrid exceeded my expectations. If I were to be picky, I\u2019d wish for a longer electric driving range<\/strong> and a bit more nimbleness in tight turns. It seems the 971 has improved electric range over the 970, and with the optional rear axle steering, it should handle tighter corners better. \nThe 971 definitely has a longer range in E-mode. Assuming you drive only on electric power, the practical limit is about 30 km<\/strong>, I think. But that\u2019s enough for local errands, so I use E-mode for nearby shopping, Hybrid Auto mode for congested commutes where you just have to go with the flow, and Sports or Sports+ mode when the roads are clear and I want to push a bit. \nFor now, I drive in normal mode without choosing E-power or E-charge for city driving. The 971\u2019s 30 km electric range sounds enviable. \nI strongly agree that the 718\u2019s driving feel is similar to an air-cooled Porsche<\/strong> (laughs). It\u2019s like being pushed firmly from behind your hips. For me, it\u2019s the Boxster. The sound quality is also great. And the PDK is incredibly good. With the manual, you can drive crisply even in Normal mode around town, and Sports mode adds even more fun.
