The New Macan Event<\/h3>\n

Recently, I attended the new Macan sneak preview event, The new Macan Sneak Preview<\/strong>, held in Osaka. (Sneak preview means a private viewing event.)<\/span> A friend who owns a Macan invited us, and my husband and I were able to join. Unfortunately, the event coincided with our eldest daughter\u2019s kindergarten open class\u2026<\/p>\n

When I told my husband, “I\u2019m going to the kindergarten open class, so you can go alone<\/strong>,” he said:<\/p>\n

No, since it\u2019s a special occasion, Mina-chan, you should go. I\u2019ll go to the kindergarten open class.<\/p>\n

(Usually it would be the other way around.)<\/span> So I gratefully accepted his offer and went alone to the new Macan preview.<\/p>\n

The weather on the day was unfortunately rainy. Of course\u2026 (-_-) No matter what or where I go, it always rains on days I go somewhere I usually don\u2019t.<\/strong> My husband said:<\/p>\n

Seriously, whenever Mina-chan says she\u2019s going somewhere, it always rains. It\u2019s amazing at this point.<\/p>\n

Feeling a bit guilty, I thought, “I really hope the Porsche staff preparing the event aren\u2019t too troubled because of me (-_-)<\/strong>,” and headed to the venue of the new Macan preview.<\/p>\n

Off to the Venue!<\/h3>\n

I had received parking information near the venue in advance, but worried that “the designated parking might be full, and if I had to park somewhere the Panamera wouldn\u2019t fit, that would be a problem<\/strong>,” (though that\u2019s unlikely\u2026)<\/span> so I decided to drive the Golf just in case. Despite the heavy rain, there was no notable traffic on the highway or local roads, and I arrived on time at a parking lot near the venue.<\/p>\n

Walking 2\u20133 minutes from there, I spotted the venue for the new Macan preview. Along the road, on the right, I saw a large walled building that looked impressive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I thought, \u201cOh, this must be the venue!\u201d and went to check the entrance.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Fujita Residence Ruins Park\u2026 (*_*)!?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026Definitely not.<\/p>\n

Regaining composure, I kept walking and soon saw what looked like the actual venue. From a distance, I could see a Macan parked there.<\/p>\n

This is it\u2026!<\/p>\n

I thought, “Could the Macan parked here be the new Macan as a surprise?<\/strong>” but upon closer look, it wasn\u2019t. (Of course.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A staff member wearing a raincoat kindly guided me, saying “The venue is just ahead<\/strong>.” Walking forward, I reached a stylish entrance surrounded by greenery, where the sign “The new Macan Sneak Preview<\/strong>” was displayed.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My heart pounding, I checked in, but since I arrived a bit early and the venue wasn\u2019t fully ready, I was asked to wait inside a nearby building.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

On the seats were stylish boxes of chocolates from the famous Paris-based patisserie, P\u00e2tisserie Sadaharu Aoki Paris<\/strong>. (I found this out later.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Inside were four elegant chocolates. I thought, “They\u2019re almost too cute to eat<\/strong>,” but as a huge chocolate lover, I didn\u2019t hesitate and happily finished them all (lol).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Preview Begins<\/h3>\n

After a while, an announcement said “We are ready<\/strong>,” and I finally entered the new Macan preview venue. Inside, everyone was served a Miami Blue welcome drink. (Non-alcoholic, of course.)<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Seating was free, but since several couples were already seated in the front row, I wondered, “Should I sit at the back table\u2026?<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Then I thought, “No, I shouldn\u2019t hold back here! After all, my husband switched with me to attend the kindergarten open class!<\/strong>” So I boldly took the very front seat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

By the way, the chairs were specially designed for the new Macan preview\u2014stylish and cute.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Soon, the MC announced the start of the preview. As the moment to reveal the new Macan approached, I waited with excitement.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The veil was lifted, and the full new Macan was finally revealed!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Wow\u2026 (*\uff9f\u2200\uff9f)<\/span><\/p>\n

While admiring it, I thought, “Hmm? What\u2019s different from the previous model?<\/strong>” At first glance, it looked quite similar. Then, a talk session began with automotive journalist Yasuhisa Shimashita and Alex from Porsche Japan.<\/p>\n

By the way, Shimashita-san is great at photography. (The photo of the Macan in the middle was taken by him during the test drive event.)<\/span><\/p>\n

I met him last year when I visited Porsche Japan headquarters<\/a>.<\/p>\n
