Just the other day, he said,  <\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">It\u2019s such a convenient era\u2026 We can watch so many valuable videos for free, learn a lot, and even watch them repeatedly. It\u2019s something unimaginable just a while ago.<\/p>\n<p>After watching a video titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/eup-nod1L0U\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Art of Not Procrastinating<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; on YouTube University recently, he said this:  <\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">People often say, \u201cTo succeed, it\u2019s important to vividly imagine yourself already succeeding,\u201d but even more important is to imagine the process. For example, if you want to eat meat sauce spaghetti, you\u2019ll never suddenly find yourself eating it just by imagining it vividly. If you really want to eat it, you have to picture the steps and ingredients needed to make it. It\u2019s the same with goals \u2014 imagining the goal is important, but even more important is <strong>mapping out the process to reach that goal<\/strong>. If you don\u2019t know the process, you need to research or ask about it. Hearing that, I thought, \u201cThat\u2019s true.\u201d Looking back, when I first wanted a Porsche, it was just like that.<\/p>\n<p>He continued,  <\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Sure, I pictured myself driving a Porsche, but even more than that, I imagined things like, \u201cTo drive a Porsche in the future, I\u2019ll probably be independent, my company\u2019s revenue will be around this much, my annual income will be about this, I\u2019ll be doing this kind of work, my family will be like this in private life, and I\u2019ll have moved to a house where I can park the car without any issues.\u201d Of course, at first, it was a ridiculously distant goal, and as I moved forward, there were times I thought, <strong>\u201cHmm, this approach isn\u2019t quite what I imagined.\u201d<\/strong> But that\u2019s okay \u2014 you just adjust your course as you go. As I progressed, the path to the goal became clearer, and that\u2019s probably why I was able to reach the goal of buying a Porsche.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG_0313.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche Boxster GTS\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That really makes sense\u2026 To make dreams and goals come true, just imagining them isn\u2019t enough \u2014 <strong>you have to take action toward them.<\/strong> For that, it\u2019s crucial to have a clear idea of <strong>what to do first<\/strong> and to keep acting according to that image, adjusting your course when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>My husband also said,  <\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Sometimes on the Royu Driveway, younger people approach me and ask, \u201cI want a Porsche, but how do I buy one?\u201d And I think, <strong>if you don\u2019t reverse-engineer what you need to do to buy a Porsche and vividly imagine that process, you won\u2019t achieve your goal of buying one.<\/strong> Just imagining yourself driving a Porsche isn\u2019t enough. Of course, that\u2019s important too. For example, if you want to buy a 911, you need to know \u201cHow much does it cost?\u201d \u201cHow much will maintenance cost?\u201d \u201cHow much do I need to earn from my job?\u201d \u201cIf my current job isn\u2019t enough, should I take a promotion exam, start a side job, or change jobs?\u201d Then you might say, \u201cOkay, I\u2019ll change jobs!\u201d That way, you can see the process and what actions you need to take. Some might say, <strong>\u201cChanging jobs just for a car is too much\u2026\u201d<\/strong> but if you really want it, you have to take that step, or you\u2019ll never be able to buy a Porsche in your lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>I thought, wow, that really hits home.  <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Are_Your_Goals_and_Process_Aligned\"><\/span>Are Your Goals and Process Aligned?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I started my own business in my 20s, but it didn\u2019t go as well as I hoped <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(I\u2019m still running it quietly now though)<\/span>. Looking back, I could vividly imagine my <strong>successful self<\/strong> and was so excited I sometimes couldn\u2019t sleep, but I had no idea about the process to get there.<\/p>\n<p>So, I sought advice from senior entrepreneurs who had taken their companies public or built them up from scratch, and I tried every piece of advice I could get. But I ran out of money, sales didn\u2019t increase, I got lost, and I never achieved the goals I set.<\/p>\n<p>Now I realize that I probably never really wanted to \u201cgo public\u201d or \u201cbuild a company with hundreds of employees.\u201d Yet, early on, I was following the advice of amazing senior entrepreneurs I met, so my process was completely out of sync with my true goals. <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(Why didn\u2019t I notice that\u2026 lol)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like desperately trying to make carbonara when you want to make meat sauce spaghetti, then lamenting, <strong>\u201cI\u2019m trying so hard but can\u2019t make meat sauce spaghetti!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Still, those seniors have kept in touch and I report my progress to them, so <strong>those encounters have become a real asset for me.<\/strong> Next time I take on a challenge, I feel I can clearly visualize the process, seek opinions from others, and steadily move forward without rushing, increasing my chances of success.<\/p>\n<p>Truly, there\u2019s nothing wasted in life.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Training_a_Programming_Mindset\"><\/span>Training a Programming Mindset<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I digressed a bit, but my husband also said this about \u201cvisualizing the process.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Kids often say, \u201cI want to be \u25cb\u25cb when I grow up.\u201d Before, I\u2019d say, \u201cThat\u2019s great! You can be \u25cb\u25cb!\u201d But now, I ask, \u201cOkay, so what do you need to do to become that?\u201d Asking this helps kids better map out the process to reach their goals.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG_1408.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 (964)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thinking about that\u2026 though maybe not intentionally, my husband recently started teaching our 7-year-old daughter a programming game <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(it\u2019s his main job)<\/span>, and she seemed to really enjoy it.<\/p>\n<p>Programming breaks down the goal of \u201cdoing \u25cb\u25cb\u201d into detailed steps, giving instructions to the computer one by one, fixing bugs when they appear, and repeating this process. So, <strong>it might also help develop the thinking skills needed to plan the process to achieve goals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By the way, watching the programming game beside them, I couldn\u2019t understand a thing (lol).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVisualizing the goal,\u201d \u201cimagining the process,\u201d \u201cremoving mental blocks that say \u2018I can\u2019t do it,\u2019\u201d \u201ccontinuing to act,\u201d and \u201csurrounding yourself with successful people\u201d \u2014 I\u2019ve learned many important things from my husband about what it takes to succeed.
