She bought a BMW Mini Cooper 3-door model (Cooper D).<\/p>\n<p>I saw some photos, and it looked really stylish and cool.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24363\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMG_2646.jpg\" alt=\"BMW Mini Cooper\" width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, she\u2019s been a paper driver for nearly 20 years since getting her license, meaning she hasn\u2019t driven at all. Even after delivery, she said, <strong>\u201cI can\u2019t drive alone yet, so I want someone to practice with me,\u201d<\/strong> so recently my husband has been accompanying her for practice.<\/p>\n<p>When my husband came home after helping her practice driving, he said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">I wonder if I was really that bad when I first got my license, haha. First of all, she can\u2019t drive straight. She\u2019s so tense that her steering is easily thrown off by what\u2019s happening around her. When a truck passes by, she sways; when entering a tunnel, she almost scrapes the wall; her driving is all over the place. The Mini is small, so it\u2019s okay, but if it were a bigger car, I\u2019m sure she\u2019d be scraping all over the place, haha. She\u2019s also too scared to press the accelerator properly, and after a little while, she keeps saying, \u201cI\u2019m tired, I\u2019m tired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said this half in disbelief.<\/p>\n<p>Listening to him, I couldn\u2019t help but recall my own paper driver days and muttered, <strong>\u201cI totally get it~\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I was a paper driver for about 10 years, so when I was finally encouraged by my husband to drive again after a long break, I clenched my teeth so hard that my jaw hurt. After just 10 minutes of driving, I got exhausted and hit by a strong wave of sleepiness. I was swaying left and right every time the road had bumps. It was really tough.<\/p>\n<p>And I scratched the car quite a few times\u2026<\/p>\n<p>At first, I was amazed thinking, <strong>\u201cAre people really processing and judging so much information instantly while driving? That\u2019s incredible\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But now, I can at least manage to drive manual cars like the large SUV Cayenne and the Boxster, so I\u2019m sure my husband\u2019s sister will soon get used to driving and discover the joy of hitting the road.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_She_Decided_to_Buy_a_Car_Now\"><\/span>Why She Decided to Buy a Car Now<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Recently, I had a chance to talk with my sister-in-law and said, <strong>\u201cWow, you bought a brand-new Mini! That\u2019s pretty expensive, amazing!\u201d<\/strong> She replied,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">Yeah\u2026 I guess if it weren\u2019t for COVID, I probably would have never bought a car in my life. If something happens, I can\u2019t rely on public transportation, and if I didn\u2019t have a car, I might not be able to move or see my loved ones in an emergency. That scared me a lot. I\u2019d wanted a car for a while, but it was expensive and I couldn\u2019t make up my mind. But now I thought, <strong>\u201cThis is the only timing to buy,\u201d<\/strong> so I decided to go for it. Even after buying it, I\u2019m surprised at <strong>how much money goes into things besides the purchase price,<\/strong> but it also made me rethink my finances, so I\u2019m glad I bought it.<\/p>\n<p>I see\u2026 The current situation really pushed her forward. Some people decide things on their own timing and will, but sometimes a trigger is what makes a big difference.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24366\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMG_0055.jpg\" alt=\"BMW Mini Cooper\" width=\"1200\" height=\"674\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When I bought my first car, I also had a trigger that pushed me to act quickly. Now I truly feel, <strong>\u201cI\u2019m so glad I bought it back then.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I bought a manual transmission car, and that opened up a whole new world for me. If the timing had been a bit later, it would have overlapped with my third pregnancy, and I probably wouldn\u2019t have bought it. Looking back, that timing was just perfect.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Readers_Who_Were_Encouraged_by_This_Blog\"><\/span>Readers Who Were Encouraged by This Blog<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I\u2019ve received many messages from readers saying, <strong>\u201cYour blog gave me the push I needed to buy a Porsche,\u201d<\/strong> along with reports of their orders and deliveries. But my husband and I don\u2019t write this blog with the intention of <strong>\u201cpushing readers to take action.\u201d<\/strong> Instead, we run it with the hope that<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">our own car life stories will be enjoyable for everyone to read, and maybe even helpful in some small way.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it\u2019s genuinely heartwarming to hear people say they were <strong>\u201cencouraged or given a push\u201d<\/strong> by our blog.<\/p>\n<p>Cars cost money and, honestly, aren\u2019t absolutely necessary. I used to be in the <strong>\u201cpublic transportation is enough\u201d<\/strong> camp. But having a car means being able to go wherever and whenever with family, creating memories, adding excitement and thrills to daily life, and meeting fellow car enthusiasts.
