We Found Out Where the GT3 Went<\/h3>\n

My husband owned a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring (991 late model)<\/strong> for about two and a half years. After much thought, he decided to let it go at the end of March this year. He sold it back to the dealer where he bought it, and it was listed on a used car site, where it apparently sold within about a week.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My husband said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI was worried it might sit unsold for months, so I\u2019m really glad it sold. But I do wonder what kind of person bought it\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, a few days later, a comment appeared on the blog saying, “Could it be that I inherited your husband\u2019s GT3 Touring!?<\/strong>” Reading the full comment, it said:<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always loved cars, and over the past few years I\u2019ve become a Porsche fan. I\u2019ve owned a 981 Boxster S (PDK), 981 Boxster GTS (MT), 991 early Targa 4S (PDK), and 997 late GT3 (MT). Recently, I found and purchased this GT3 Touring, which was just delivered.<\/strong>
\nWith features like Crayon paint, leather package, front lift, PCCB, and a mileage of 11,500 km, I thought it might be the same car. When I learned your husband was the previous owner, I felt reassured knowing it was cherished.
\nHaving owned several Porsches, the GT3 Touring is my ideal model right now. Along with my 993 Cabriolet (MT) that I\u2019ve had since last year, I plan to enjoy my Porsche life with these two cars.<\/p>\n

Since the dealer was the same, there\u2019s no doubt this is my husband\u2019s GT3 Touring.<\/p>\n

When I told my husband right away, he said,<\/p>\n

\u201cReally? That\u2019s great! I\u2019m relieved it went to someone who loves cars and has such passion for Porsche. I put a lot of thought into the specs of this 911 GT3 Touring and took great care of it, so I honestly worried it might be sad if the next owner didn\u2019t share that love.<\/strong>
\nSo I\u2019m truly glad. I hope it thrives in its new home.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems this new owner also visits the Royu Driveway, so maybe they\u2019ll meet someday. My husband is already looking forward to that day.<\/p>\n

The Miracle of a Beloved Car Returning<\/h3>\n

Usually, once you sell a beloved car, you don\u2019t really know “where it is or who\u2019s driving it now<\/strong>,” so finding out where it went like this feels almost miraculous.<\/p>\n

Thinking about that, I recalled a story from about three years ago, when soccer legend Kazuyoshi Miura bought an air-cooled Porsche 911 (964)<\/a>. The reason why he chose a 964 instead of a newer Porsche was truly touching.<\/p>\n

Miura was looking to buy a car and had seen many, but nothing felt quite right. When he mentioned, “I wish I had kept the 964 I used to own<\/strong>,” he happened to find a used Porsche at a dealership that looked just like his old 964.<\/p>\n

Upon closer inspection, the body color, options, even the scratches inside, and the old Sanwa Motors sticker were all identical. It was written that he thought, \u201cThis has to be the same 964 I used to own! It\u2019s fate!\u201d<\/strong> and decided to buy it.<\/p>\n

Can such a miracle really happen? Reading that gave me goosebumps \u2014 legends really are something else!<\/p>\n

After receiving the comment from the GT3\u2019s new owner, I couldn\u2019t help but imagine the grand romance that maybe decades from now, this GT3 Touring might circle back to us<\/strong> (laughs).<\/p>\n
