Porsche Blog and Twitter<\/h3>\n

This Porsche blog\u2019s homepage now displays a timeline, but I\u2019m also active on Twitter besides the blog.<\/strong> About 10 years ago, I used Twitter for work for a while, but I didn\u2019t really know how to use it and ended up not posting anything, so quite some time passed.<\/p>\n

Later, after starting this Porsche blog, I registered on Twitter again last April. At first, I wasn\u2019t quite sure how to use it, so I just followed people I found interesting and posted new blog articles\u2026 but after about six months, my followers gradually started to increase, and more people began retweeting my posts.<\/p>\n

Also, interacting with followers and receiving valuable information from Porsche and car enthusiasts all over Japan<\/strong> made me feel:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s amazing and fascinating that through Twitter, I can connect with people I would never have met in real life.\u201d<\/p>\n

I think \u201chobbies + Twitter<\/strong>\u201d is quite a good match. Some people tweet under their real names, but most are anonymous.<\/strong> Because of anonymity, you sometimes come across misinformation or sensitive content by accident, but on the flip side, there\u2019s a lot of genuinely insightful content that only anonymity can bring out.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s fascinating to catch glimpses of raw human stories.<\/p>\n

Also, Twitter\u2019s \u201c140 characters\u201d limit is great. It\u2019s easy to tweet casually, and it\u2019s fun to think about how to fit what you want to say into just 140 characters.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Twitter \u00d7 Cars \u00d7 Women<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m not particularly skilled at using Twitter, and my followers are still few, but once I received a comment on the blog:<\/p>\n

\u201cI see you\u2019re on Twitter too. Looking at it now, there are even more car-related posts on Twitter than on your blog,<\/strong> and I really enjoyed them.\u201d<\/p>\n

So I decided to organize what kind of things I post on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Little Tidbits<\/h4>\n

On Twitter, I post a lot of things I don\u2019t put on this Porsche blog. This isn\u2019t a strategic \u201cseparation of blog and Twitter content\u201d at all, but rather because these are too small or trivial to post on the blog<\/strong> (lol).<\/p>\n

For example, I often tweet things like \u201cHeading to Royu Driveway<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cMy husband went out touring<\/strong>,\u201d or \u201cSpotted this Porsche in town<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Real-Time Updates<\/h4>\n

When the GT3 or 320i was delivered, I tweeted about it in real time. With a blog, you have to \u201cwrite the article, review it, and publish it,<\/strong>\u201d so there\u2019s inevitably about a week\u2019s delay.<\/p>\n

Twitter lets me tweet in real time, so the posts are more timely. Lately, it feels like \u201cmy Twitter tweets have become previews for blog articles,<\/strong>\u201d like \u201cGot the GT3 Touring delivered and took it for its first drive\u2014will report on the blog soon!<\/strong>\u201d kind of posts (laughs).<\/p>\n

About My Husband and Me<\/h4>\n

These are things not really worth writing on the blog, but I also tweet about conversations with my husband or little stories I suddenly remember from when we got married.<\/strong> Since I\u2019m a woman, I think it\u2019s fun to share some female perspectives beyond just car topics.<\/p>\n
