A Day in the Life of My Porsche-Loving Husband<\/h3>\n

My husband spends almost every day browsing used car sites. Lately, he\u2019s been saying he wants a Mercedes-Benz SL400<\/a> and checking if any good ones come up. But the Grand Edition he wants is rare and still expensive, so he says things like, “Even if I buy it, it\u2019ll be a long way off yet<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

He also has many cars he\u2019s interested in but not planning to buy. Just the other day, he sent me a URL saying, “This Panamera 4E Hybrid looks like such a great deal! It\u2019s loaded with options<\/strong>,” or mentioned, “The Jaguar I rode in recently was really impressive<\/strong>,” then checked prices and so on.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

Watching my car-loving husband like this, I suddenly realized I\u2019ve “never once opposed him when he decided to buy a car<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Before the buying stage, he\u2019ll ask, “What do you think about this?<\/strong>” and I might honestly say, “I\u2019m not really a fan of that design\u2026<\/strong>” but when it comes to actually buying a car, I\u2019ve never opposed him.<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t mean I\u2019m completely uninterested or exasperated by whatever car he chooses.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve written a few articles about how my husband approaches buying cars, like “How my husband won over a wife indifferent to cars and bought a Porsche: 5 things he did<\/a>,” but today I want to reflect on it again.<\/p>\n

What My Car-Loving Husband Does<\/h3>\n

My husband openly admits he loves cars and driving, and buying cars motivates him at work. I think the reason I don\u2019t oppose his purchases is because he “shares a lot of information with me before buying<\/strong>.” (Sharing information sounds kind of businesslike\u2026 lol)<\/span><\/p>\n

He would never suddenly say, “I went to the dealer today and bought it!<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not that sudden decisions are bad\u2014every couple is different, and if that works for them, that\u2019s great.<\/p>\n

But my husband spends months gathering information before buying, and only after he\u2019s fully convinced does he make a purchase. Along the way, he often tells me things like, “Here\u2019s how the test drive went<\/strong>” or asks, “What do you think about this?<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

I guess part of this is because I\u2019m more interested in cars and know a bit more than many other wives. So he never has to awkwardly say, “Um\u2026 there\u2019s actually a car I want\u2026<\/strong>” Instead, we share info naturally in everyday conversations.<\/p>\n

That way, I naturally understand “what kind of car he wants<\/strong>” and “whether he\u2019s not buying yet or just about to<\/strong>,” so when it\u2019s time to buy, I\u2019m ready to accept it smoothly (almost without realizing it)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

My husband once said about his way of buying cars:<\/p>\n

Because if I bought a car I really want but my wife opposed it, I\u2019d hate driving it feeling guilty every time I go out…<\/p>\n

Since he loves driving and goes on tours often, maybe that\u2019s why he feels this way even more.<\/p>\n

\"Porsche<\/p>\n

If I write this, some might think, “That\u2019s because Mina creates an easy atmosphere for consultation, right?<\/strong>” but unfortunately, that\u2019s not the case (-_-)<\/p>\n

I\u2019m quite emotional and often cranky from being run around by the kids (lol). Sometimes my husband will say, “Hey, there\u2019s this car today\u2026<\/strong>” but if I\u2019m in a bad mood and not interested, he won\u2019t push the topic further.<\/p>\n

Then later, when I\u2019m in a better mood, he\u2019ll bring it up again. (Maybe it\u2019s coincidence, or maybe he senses something instinctively\u2026 lol)<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway, as a wife, I\u2019m genuinely happy when my husband consults me and shares the process, and I can celebrate with him when he actually buys a car.<\/p>\n
