The new Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder were just announced, and Twitter has been buzzing with this topic since yesterday. Since the configurator was already available overseas<\/strong>, my husband gave it a try right away. He considered it from the perspective of “If I were to buy one\u2026” so I\u2019d like to share his choices. <\/p>\n

New 718 Cayman GT4<\/h3>\n

Exterior<\/h4>\n

First, he chose Miami Blue<\/strong> for the color. He was torn between Racing Yellow and this, but seeing it in person, it\u2019s a really beautiful blue, and he\u2019s always wanted a Porsche in this shade. Also, a sporty car close to a race car like the GT4 really suits a bold color<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

There is only one wheel design option, but multiple colors are available. Silver looks great, but since this is the standard brake setup without PCCB, he chose Satin Platinum to better hide brake dust stains<\/strong>. (Black might also be a good choice.) <\/p>\n

For the lights, he went with HID (black) with PDLS instead of LED to give a sharper look, and painted the door handles in trendy high-gloss black<\/strong>. This adds a nice accent when viewed from the side and looks really cool. He regrets not doing this on his GT3 Touring. <\/p>\n

At the rear, the GT4 emblem is painted in high-gloss to match the door handles. <\/p>\n

Chassis \/ Interior<\/h4>\n

The Cayman GT4 only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, so that\u2019s standard.
\nFor brakes, he chose the standard setup instead of PCCB, considering cost efficiency for track use<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

For the interior, he picked the leather with red stitching option. This matches the red brake calipers on the exterior, creating a unified look.<\/strong> He also chose a red center mark on the steering wheel to emphasize the sporty feel, selected the carbon package to have carbon trim, and matched the seat belts to the exterior color by choosing Miami Blue.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

For seats, he opted for the lightweight full carbon bucket seats, which are only available on GT-type or higher models. This is a must-have for track driving. He also selected the chrono package, which adds an analog stopwatch on the dashboard and enables performance displays like torque and power on the PCM. <\/p>\n

Since he wants to actively enjoy the track with the GT4, he chose the Club Sport Package, including a roll cage and 6-point seat belts.<\/strong> <\/p>\n
