Our home parking spot has a roof, but since rain and wind come in from the sides, the car tends to get pretty dirty just by parking normally. So, my husband had been saying for a while, “Once the GT3 arrives, we absolutely have to order a body cover<\/strong>.” Recently, he contacted Nakabayashi Kogyo<\/a> (we always ask them to make body covers for our cars)<\/span>, and they replied:<\/p>\n “Up to the B-pillar, we plan to use the shape of the later model GT3, and from there to the rear, connect it with the current (991) GTS shape. That should work, but since overall balance is important, it’s hard to say for sure. We\u2019d like to take new measurements directly from the actual car.”<\/p>\n At Nakabayashi Kogyo, if you bring in a newly redesigned model or a car they specify, they offer the first body cover free of charge as a thank-you for your cooperation in measuring<\/strong>. My husband said,<\/p>\n “Even if they go through the trouble of making a pattern specifically for the GT3 Touring, I\u2019m probably the only one ordering it, so I feel bad. I thought maybe combining the GTS and GT3 patterns would work fine if it fits roughly\u2026 I feel a bit awkward about it.”<\/p>\n But in the end, we decided to bring the actual car in for measuring, haha.<\/p>\n Nakabayashi Kogyo\u2019s dedication and craftsmanship are truly amazing!<\/p>\n By the way, I previously wrote an article about having them measure a Panamera Turbo in person, and that piece got quite a bit of attention.
