While sharing updates and future goals, my husband suddenly said,<\/p>\n
You know, I think life ultimately evens out to \u201cplus-minus zero<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n He went on,<\/p>\n When I talk with fellow car enthusiasts, some people might look like they\u2019re amazing because they own a bunch of sports cars like Porsches. But behind the scenes, they\u2019ve gone through all sorts of struggles. Even those who are successful now often had really tough experiences in the past. Everyone envies someone else\u2019s greener grass, thinking \u201cThat person\u2019s life is so great, so impressive<\/strong>,\u201d but what we see is only a part of the story. The more successful someone is, the more hardships they\u2019ve probably faced. Also, even with money, there can be family or health issues.<\/p>\n That really struck me\u2026 I vaguely remember someone once saying, \u201cLife is a plus-minus zero, so as long as you\u2019re a little positive when you die, that\u2019s enough<\/strong>,\u201d or maybe I imagined it\u2026 (Who knows? lol)<\/span> Hearing my husband talk made me think of that again.<\/p>\n Actually, my husband usually comes across as easygoing, so many people probably think he\u2019s someone who achieves results without much struggle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n But according to him,<\/p>\n I couldn\u2019t study at all until I graduated high school. My grades were always bad, and I didn\u2019t get accepted to any university on my first try. Honestly, I barely remember anything before I was 18\u2014it was just an unremarkable student life with no memorable moments. In my twenties, I worked for a decent company, but my family\u2019s business struggled, and I had to cover operating costs with my salary. So money was always tight. In my early thirties, I started a business, but the first 4-5 years were slow, and my income was much lower than my peers. There was even a time I rented a corner of a senior CEO\u2019s office for free. Thanks to that, things are going well now, but looking back, the tough times lasted quite a while.<\/p>\n Before we got married, I thought, \u201cMy husband must have lived a comfortable life without worries<\/strong>,\u201d so I was a bit surprised to learn he had overcome so much.<\/p>\n I like the saying, \u201cMan\u2019s fortune is like a horse of Sai\u014d<\/strong>\u201d (meaning life\u2019s happiness and misfortune are unpredictable and often change places, so we shouldn\u2019t be too quick to rejoice or despair).<\/p>\n I\u2019d say my twenties were quite a series of hardships. I failed at job hunting, my personal life was rough, and even after starting a business, sales didn\u2019t grow as expected, and debt piled up.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy does nothing go right for me? Why does God keep testing me like this?\u201d<\/p>\n There were times I felt hopeless.<\/p>\n Back then, I couldn\u2019t genuinely celebrate my friends\u2019 happiness, and I hated how bitter I had become. No matter how hard I tried, things didn\u2019t improve, and it was very painful.<\/p>\n Looking back now objectively, I think, \u201cNo wonder it didn\u2019t work out with that approach lol<\/strong>.\u201d I was so desperate that I couldn\u2019t make the right decisions, but on the other hand, I\u2019m glad things didn\u2019t go well back then<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Rather than \u201cThanks to those days, I\u2019m where I am now,\u201d I truly feel, \u201cI\u2019m really glad it didn\u2019t work out then\u2026<\/strong>\u201d (laughs).<\/p>\n If things had gone smoothly, I probably would have spread myself too thin, gotten overwhelmed, neglected my family, and damaged those relationships.<\/p>\n And without a doubt, I wouldn\u2019t have started this Porsche blog<\/strong>, nor would I have discovered the new world opened up through Porsche.<\/p>\n My current situation is that parenting is fairly demanding and sometimes I push myself too hard, but I feel like I have a pretty good balance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n While maintaining connections with society through work and expanding my world through blogging, I can spend plenty of time with my children. There\u2019s no fixed routine, and I\u2019m in a flexible environment where I can adapt to changes.<\/p>\n Of course, this lifestyle is possible because my husband works hard to earn and encourages me to be free, so I really feel grateful for so many things.<\/p>\n No one knows what the future holds.
