This time, my husband wrote an article about purchasing the “911 Timeless Machine Limited Art Edition.” No matter how many times I look at this 911 Timeless Machine Limited Art Edition, I still don\u2019t quite understand what it\u2019s for\u2026 (laughs)<\/p>\n

A little while ago, the dealer contacted us saying, “A commemorative set reflecting on the history of all 911 models, including art and specifications, will be released in a world-limited run of 911 units. Would you be interested? It\u2019s about 82,000 yen.<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

They sent a few photos, but I didn\u2019t really understand what it was about, and there was no info online yet. Since it was limited to 911 units, I figured it probably wouldn\u2019t come my way, so I casually replied, “Well, if you can get one, please reserve it for me.<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Some time later, just when I had almost forgotten about it, I got a message: <\/p>\n

“The item reserved for Hiro has arrived!”<\/p>\n

“Huh? Oh, that one (sweat)\u2026”<\/p>\n

Since it felt awkward to say I didn\u2019t want it anymore, I decided to buy it when I visited the dealer. <\/p>\n

Timeless Machine Limited Art Edition<\/h3>\n

The actual item is bigger than I imagined. It\u2019s packed in a cardboard box and surprisingly heavy.<\/p>\n

I opened it right away.
\nWow, it\u2019s in a pretty sturdy box. It almost looks like packaging for an overseas electronic device.<\/p>\n

Taking the contents out, I found a case with a nice texture that looks like it could be for a high-end watch or jewelry.<\/p>\n

\"911<\/p>\n

Opening that case revealed something like a storage box for paintings.<\/p>\n

I opened it carefully\u2026<\/p>\n

Oh, there were gloves<\/strong> included very thoughtfully.
\nUnderneath, there were about eight pictures, each carefully wrapped in what looked like oil blotting paper.<\/p>\n

I nervously used the gloves to take them out.<\/p>\n

\"911<\/p>\n

There were photos and illustrations of the new 992-generation 911 and the original 911.
\nEach one had a serial number printed on it and was finished with very high-quality printing.<\/p>\n

Well, it costs 80,000 yen, so that\u2019s to be expected.<\/p>\n

Removing the art collection, I found specification sheets for the 992 and 901 models, and beneath those, a 1\/43 scale model car in a glass case appeared.<\/p>\n

The model cars are fixed in place and are quite intricately made.<\/p>\n

Looking at them again, it\u2019s clear the basic design of the 911 hasn\u2019t changed since the original, and you can instantly recognize it as a 911.<\/p>\n

So, what do I do with this?<\/h3>\n

Should I properly frame the art collection and display it\u2026?<\/p>\n

I could also display the model car case if I wanted to.<\/strong> But if I put it in the living room, it\u2019s obvious my kids will treat it like a toy.<\/p>\n

Maybe I should bring it to the office and display it in the meeting area for visitors?<\/p>\n

Still, it feels a bit of a waste, so maybe just keeping it stored away is fine\u2026<\/p>\n

With those thoughts, I haven\u2019t decided what to do yet, and for now, I\u2019ve put it back carefully and quietly in the closet.
